A Study of Home-furnishing Products Strategy through the Consumption Tendency Analysis of Single Household (1인 가구의 소비성향 분석을 통한 홈퍼니싱 제품전략 연구)

  • Single households currently account for 26.5% of all households and their number is expected to continue to rise, reaching 34.5% by 2035. An analysis of the consumption trends and needs of single households shows that they are rising as a new consumer group with a focus on investment on the individual and favouring: small but high-tech products: efficient use of limited resources: safety and peace of mind: self-improvement and leisure. Products which meet such demands are having an impact on the growth of home-furnishing market. An analysis of companies in Korea's home-furnishing market, with examples like the lifestyle company IKEA, shows a variety of brands such as SPA brand, furniture specialist, distributor and character products. And yet most are OEM products which lack differentiated product lines and compete with similar display and distribution structure. We needs the Single household consumption tendency of home-furnishing market and differentiation strategy through product analysis. In order to increase the value of companies in the home-furnishing market, in addition to differentiated design, product competitiveness must aspire to higher customer satisfaction with easy assembly, innovation in logistics, innovative sales methods such as virtual-reality simulation for products and space, individually-tailored furniture for the needs of single household and products which combine smart technology. For home-grown home-furnishing brands to have competitiveness, they must leverage on the strengths of the industry, offering differentiated and competitive products in a wider range of areas with convergence functions as well as differentiation in consumer interface and application of advancing technology; in-depth product research is called for.

Design of Web application for Deep-sea fishing Sailing Information based by RIA (원양어선 항해정보를 위한 RIA기반의 웹 어플리케이션 설계 및 구현)

  • The company which have deep-sea fishing vessel have to improve their voyage dashboard that was operating by manually to grasp sailing information of fishing vessel. This thesis design sailing information that is ship location on the globe, a catch of fish, and line of longitude and latitude to display on the map more visually by using on-line PC or DID (Digital Information Display). Thesis considered about designing web application which is available to visualize sailing information of 37 deep-sea fishing vessels in operation by using Flash-based RIA technology. This system was improving operator's and administrator's satisfaction of using information because, It make possible not only to grasp status of many vessels in one display but also to monitoring situation and deciding process.

The Effect of Smartphone Purchasing Determinants on Repurchase Intention (스마트폰 구매결정 요인이 재구매 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The competition to acquire customers with repurchase intention is getting more and more intense in the saturated smartphone market. That is why the aim of this study is to investigate the difference in purchasing determinants between various age groups and gender. Furthermore we aimed to analyze which of the purchasing determinants influence repurchase intention. In order to gather information we conducted a survey on 252 respondents. We selected 5 purchasing determinants (A/S, H/W, switching cost, network effect and design) by conducting factor analysis and validity analysis. Then we analyzed how respondents of different age groups and gender perceived different purchasing determinants and analyzed the influence purchasing determinants have on repurchase intention. As for analyzing the difference of purchasing determinants throughout various age groups, the H/W, A/S, network effect showed a notable difference. The older respondents tended to consider H/W, A/S, network effect more importantly than younger respondents. When it came to comparing the results depending on the gender, male respondents tended to consider H/W factor more importantly compared to female respondents and the opposite was true for other factors such as A/S, switching cost, design, and network effect but there weren't any significant differences. Finally, out of various determinant factors, network effect and design turned out to have a considerable influence on repurchase intention. That is why it would be highly appropriate to say that if a company intends to boost repurchase intention, enhancing network effect and developing an effective design would be crucial. This study differs from other existing researches in that we analyzed respondents from different age groups and gender separately. Also unlike other researches we directly analyzed the influence purchasing determinants have on repurchase intention not customer satisfaction. This study is expected to serve as basic information that can be used to establish strategies both in an academic and practical level, allowing companies to boost the repurchase intention of the smartphone market.

  • Since the theories of service quality were introduced in Korea, they have been applied to the various organizations, such as hospital, hotel travel agency bank, telecom company, and even retail market. Compared with these areas, however studies on the service qualify in educational institutions have been scarcely conducted. Also, higher educational service challenges user-oriented education system of the 21st century concept of Service quality from the theories of market economy. The purpose of this study is to identify the dimensions of educational and administrative service, and their influence upon the satisfaction and value on service quality, and formulate the service quality model based on the revised quality dimensions using SERVQUAL measuring method, to find out the most influential factors upon the service qualify among these factors. This study also suggests proper measures for improving service quality.

  • Recently, After Service(AS) management in apartment housing projects has been appeared as one of the major factors for improving customer satisfaction, and increasing competitiveness and raising image of a company in construction industry. The primary objective of this paper is to propose a web-based AS management system which enables field engineers to effectively collect AS information required from customers and effectively manage the statuses and results of AS performed. It is anticipated that the effective use of the system proposed in this paper would be able to improve communication efficiency among the AS participants, and help field engineers systematically manage and accumulate data that might be utilized as a reference in future construction projects.

A Study on Chinese Students' Clothing Purchase and Wearing Condition (중국 유학생의 의복 구매 및 착용 실태에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to find ways to increase sales and enhance of the competitiveness of the Korean fashion brands expanding into the Chinese market by conducting a survey of the Chinese female students in order to gather data regarding their preferences and features so that clothes that are more suitable for Chinese women can be designed. For this study, a survey was conducted to 305 students attending universities or language schools located in the metropolitan areas near Seoul who had exposure to Korean clothes. The study results can be summed up as follows: According to the analysis, the Chinese students preferred comfortable, practical, and casual styles. And the analysis shows that they prefer achromatic monotonous colors rather than vivid colors or splendid and complex patterns. The students felt that Korean clothes reflected the trends very well, and they also showed very high satisfaction with the design. The most common way of gathering information for their clothing purchase was through Internet search and magazine advertisements. The survey showed that the biggest strength of the Korean fashion brands was their ability to reflect the fast changing fashion trends in their designs, and they were very much satisfied with their diverse designs and colors. Among the domestic fashion brands, they prefer domestic SPA brands such as MIXXO, SPAO, and 8IGHT SECONDS.

The Impact of several management tools and techniques adoption on strong small business enterprises' Performance (경영기법 및 도구의 적용이 강소기업 경영성과에 미치는 영향분석)

  • This paper aims to examine the adoption of several management tools & techniques(MT&T) by the Strong Small Business Enterprises (SSBE) in Korea, In addition, the paper examines the impact of the adopted MT&T techniques on a company's overall performance. The paper used a questionnaires survey method to gather the required data. The paper used descriptive statistics, correlation and regression techniques to analyze the data. The paper found that benchmarking, BSC, IMS and TQM are among the MT&T techniques widely adopted by SSBE. In addition, the paper found that the adoption of MT&T techniques significantly influenced the companies' overall performance. More specifically, the paper found that the adoption of BSC significantly influenced that the companies' profitability, customer satisfaction, market position and sales growth for exisiting services and products. The findings this paper provide could be considered important and useful for advancement of companies adopting MT&T techniques to improve their performance.

  • The purpose of the study is to test and analyze differences in consumers' satisfaction and influences of competitiveness of goods on consumers' purchase decision by demographic characteristics and by channel distribution. The hypotheses have been tested through T-test and ANOVA with one-way and two-way using SPSS Win Ver. 12.0. The distribution channels are classfied with five ones such as company direct operation shop, agent licensed shop, department store, internet home shopping and outlet goods shop. This study can indirectly suggest a local clothing brand industry countermeasures for raising competitiveness and changing consumer preferences in the open domestic market.

Classification of Foot Types for a Shoes Size System for Women in Their 20~30s according to a Survey of Hand-Made Shoes Companies (수제 신발업계의 실태 조사에 따른 국내 20~30대 여성의 발 형태에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the fundamental foot measurement data that is essential for a shoes size system of women in their 20~30s according to a survey of Korean hand-made shoes companies. This research on the current situation of shoes companies was done by interviewing and surveying employees of these companies. The subjects for this study were 407 women in their 20s~30s who lived in a metropolitan area, and who wanted to enhance their foot health and prevent injury with a proper shoes size system. They were measured with the 3D scan method in use of 6th Size Korea. The result of this study showed that there is considerable dissatisfaction related to women's shoes and the current foot size system using foot length. The Korean hand-made shoes companies assessed here did not use the KS system, but they recognized the necessity of measuring the foot width and circumference, understanding that doing so properly can decrease the return and repair rate. And current target age for shoes bye the hand-made shoes companies was reported to be approximately 5 years. There were significant results according to ANOVA, factor and cluster analyses according to the age range pertaining to the foot length, circumference and height. Each element was significantly correlated with user's satisfaction. There were 5 factors and 3 clusters represented, and foot circumstance and width were as important as foot length with a range of 5 years.

  • This is the time we need differentiated strategy due to consumer's standard of purchasing is becoming more complicated and corporate marketing war is intensely competitive. For a long-term strategy, making competitive corporate image is important because companies have their own competitiveness. In addition, importance of having a relationship with customer is magnified through consumers'direct and indirect experience. "The corporate complex cultural space is designed place for experiential marketing to convey its meaning to consumers." Under above concept, this study analyzed the theory of experiential marketing and conducted a survey which is based on experiential marketing strategic module (SEMs) using the analyzed theory. This study drew expression characteristics of space through case analysis and conducted a survey to have more effective corporate complex cultural space. As a result, the experience in the space enables people to understand of the space through five senses, not consist of simply chucks of sense-date, and this result emphasizes the importance of 'Event' because people tend to escape from restriction for reality to relive stress and have emotional satisfaction. In addition, it shows expression characteristics which provide sympathy as a flexible interaction through symbolical image. The result of the expression characteristics' survey is showed up to improve effect of corporate complex cultural space. This study is analyzing the corporate complex cultural space through experience marketing for the company which wants provide differentiated experience of various space expression methods and catching current position. Also, this study places its significance to give a way to increase space preference and effect of corporate complex cultural space. Based on the result of this study, I hope the future corporate complex cultural space will develop refreshingly.
