  • The main purpose of this study is to design the port maketing strategies for strengthening the competitive power of container terminal. So far many attempts have been to analyze the international competitiveness of the terminal. As a results, Six factors hypothesized by this study come from previous research analysis about customers preference for port selection. Those are Cost, Centrality, and Intermediacy, Free trade port, Inland transportation connections, Political and Economic institution, and Port facilities. This study analyze the most important factor about hub port, and transhipment port separately, though questionnaire analysis about users(shipper, shipping company, and freight forwarder) influenced on port selection.   • Recently, many companies want to accept and operate ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) system in their fields ERP does not only include business, but also include finance, account, trade, personnel and BPR(Business Process Reengineering). Especially, it is necessary to have ERP system for companies which have lots of external businesses such as trade and communication sector. In modern society, the manufacture field faces on variable chances of Environment. For this situation, the application of Information technique is one of the main point maintain competitive power. The company should chose a proper method for their future and build Unified Information System on its suitable situation. Nowadays, Adjustment and application of technical method for Internet/Intranet and raised and more advanced Extranet gains its force at the moment. The Unification of ERP and POP system under the distributed environment like this will have a huge influence to us. In this subject, I will think about POP system for operating EPR system and improve its defects that can operate more effective sales, circulation, demand plan. Also, I suggest a proper POP system can handle seperated resources in each part of factory for a plan of shot period, order operating, factory inventory, process control.

Growth Strategy of PASECO as a Global Electronic Company: Focusing on the Middle East Market

  • Purpose - This study aims to analyze PASECO's environment and strategies during its advance into the Middle East to find out the success factors of the kerosene heater market and provide strategic implications for small and medium enterprises' growth based on these factors. Research design and methodology - This study analyzes the success factors of companies operating in the Middle East. As a case analysis study, the method of research analyzes case enterprises through existing literature, newspaper articles, and corporate interview materials. Results - PASECO's success was shown by its high technological power in kerosene heater products, understanding customers' needs, understanding the Middle East market and localization strategy. Conclusions - PASECO has been constantly developing R&D capability to secure competitive products and has released localized products to enhance the satisfaction of its customers in the Middle East and has also been successful by constantly creating new opportunities. The firm's success strategies provide implications for small and medium-sized businesses for greater growth.

  • 국내 산업 전반에 걸친 정보화 추세는 건설산업에도 예외가 될 수 없지만, 급속하게 전파되고 있는 인터넷의 활용을 통하여 효율적인 건설품질관리업무를 수행하고 있는 건설업체는 몇몇 대형건설업체에 불과하다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내 H건설의 품질정보관리시스템(QIMS)의 구축사례를 알아보고, 이러한 시스템의 활용을 통하여, 향후 건설품질경영시스템(CQMS)이 정착되고 발전되어서 국내건설산업 전체가 국제적으로 품질경쟁력을 인정받는 계기가 될 수 있는 기반을 제시하고자 한다.

  • The business's paradigm is rapidly changing from product-out to market-in due to Open-door, intensive competitiveness, the variety of the customer's need. Starting from this needs of the times, CRM based on the understanding which company's value coming from the customers is in everyone's mouth. But it can said that it stay in the Immature level at the understanding of this Importance, strategic approach Therefore, the basic objective of this study is to grope the strategic approach that can stand out basic competitive power of department store during the construction of CRM in department store. To achieve the objective of this study, first, we will find out the general error which companies commit during the construction of CRM, second, we will consider the grafting possibility with e-CRM in the case of the CRM's construction in department store. Finally, we will exhibit the conceptual model of department store's CRM which apply the membership card for effectiveness of the Customer Relationship Management.

  • Recently, many companies have applied data mining techniques to promote competitive power in the field of their business market. In this study, we address how data mining, that is a technique to enable to discover knowledge from a deluge of data, Is used in an executed project in order to support decision making of an enterprise. Also, we develope scoring model on customer attrition probability for automobile-insurance company using data mining techniques. The development of scoring model in domestic insurance is given as an example concretely.

  • More and more medium and small enterprises do business across the world according to generalization of online shopping mall such as eBay and Amazon. But high export and import transportation cost make weak the price competitive power of medium and small enterprises products. Then this paper deals with the development of new business model which can reduce the transportation cost for global logistics through efficiently overcoming the constraints as length, size, and weight of product. We explain this model with application for company which export the automobile parts. We can expect the transportation cost reduction by 50%.

  • In relation to a certification system recently, it is coming out complains about make a rule of thumb certification, problems of after-service and duplication with government certifications. Also there is confusion in operating certification system to lack of properly rule to international standard. These impose a heavy burden on company in terms of times and costs and enhance competitiveness. Nevertheless, the survey was not built yet for the status and problems of the cooperation group standards certification System. So, this study purposes that research on the actual condition and development of operational guide for cooperation group standards certification system. In addition it ultimately improve the certification system for reliability and international competitive power. For more detail on this study, it would be considered conformity assessment, domestic/international conformity assessment and certification criteria. Also comparing survey result on the actual condition with international standards, develop operational guidelines to meet international standards.
