The Transmissibility of Rubber Damper in the Compact Disc Player (컴팩트 디스크 플레이어 고무댐퍼의 전달율)

  • The vibration and disturbances from operating the compact disk layer have an effect on the play ability. As the excitation sources of the compact disk player, there are the vibration of the motors and gears, impact by mechanical parts and the external excitations. So, most of the compact disk player have a anti-vibrational system, which is included some rubber or oil dampers. In this study, the vibration characteristics of rubber damper which is used home compact disk player are investigated. The materials and shape of rubber damper are changed, and the transmissibility is measured. As a conclusion, the natural frequency is moved to higher frequency and the transmissibility is reduced by the increasing rubber stiffness. In comparison to butyl rubber damper, the transmissibility of silicon damper was increased by larger restitution elasticity. The hollow damper was effective to reduced the transmissibility.

  • To investigate the vibration characteristics of compact disc player(CDP) due to excited vibration and disturbances, it is necessary to consider the transmissibility of the CDP. The disturbances as well as the temperature in the vehicle are the one of the important factors when CDP is designed. In this study, the effect on the temperature of the oil damper, which is applied to anti-vibration system of the CDP, was investigated. When the temperature was changed from -30 to 90 and the properties of the oil damper (hardness of rubber, viscosity of oil) were changed, the transmissibility was measured.

When the damper rubber has the large hardness, the difference of the transmissibility and natural frequency due to temperature showed the remarkable change as compared with the those of damper viscosity.

  • Page-oriented angle multiplexing Holographic data storage system is the one of promising techniques for high capacity and data transfer rate, but its size and narrow tilt margin is pointed as a demerit. To overcome this weak point, in this paper, 2-axis deck mechanism for compensation of disc is employed to Compact size Holographic Data Storage (CHDS) which consists of minimized optical components and small 2-axis actuator moving linear & angle direction. Compensation of radial/tangential disc tilt with 2-axis deck mechanism is demonstrated.

  • This paper describes a new method of discrimination between the normal disc and the rewritable one. The conventional method of disc discrimination, using Focus error signal, has a heavy fluctuations. To achieve an accurate discrimination, in this paper, the sum of side beam[1]signal is used for that. A new approach is expected to improve the performance of disc discrimination as well as to reduce the signal variation almost by 50%. Techniques in this paper are applicable to the all types of optical disc player, such as CD (compact disc), VCD(Video-CD) and DVD (digital versatile disc) and any other optical disc players.

Cost-Effective Soft Lithography of Organic Semiconductors in OFETs with Compact Discs as Master Molds (Compact Disc를 마스터 몰드로 사용하는 저비용의 OFET용 유기반도체 소프트 리소그래피)

  • OFET have require fine patterning technology for organic semiconductor solution process to be used in actual electronics. In this study, we compared and analyzed the soft lithography method which can form fine patterns more than the conventional spin coating method in order to confirm that it can have better electrical characteristics. The soft lithography method produced a flexible master mold using nano patterns on compact disc surfaces and obtained a 650 nm wide 2,7-Dioctyl [1] benzothieno [3,2-b] [1] benzo thiophene (C8-BTBT) nanowires. As a result, the field-effect mobility of devices fabricated by the spin coating method was 0.0036 cm2/Vs and mobility of devices produced by soft lithography method was 0.086 cm2/Vs, which was about 20 times higher than spin-coated devices and has better electrical performance.

  • In optical disc system, lens actuator of 4-wire has unwanted moment which occurs tilt. The moment around the axis pallet to the tangential direction of the disk occurs to the moving part. when the moving part is moved in tracking direction and focus driving force is applied. This paper analyzed coupled effect due to the moment based on structural analysis and magnetic field analysis, both using finite element method.
