Methods: Secondary data analysis was performed using data of 1,321 low-income adolescents in 123 regions found on the Survey on Service Satisfaction with Community Child Care Center. • This study examined the predisposing, enabling and need factors, based on Andersen's behavioral model, affecting intention to use community organizing services at a community welfare center. 725 people aged 20 and older who lived in Gwang-jin-gu participated in this study and multiple linear regression analyses were utilized to analyze the deputation. The results demonstrate that intention to use is primarily affected by predisposing factors, age and duration of education. Female and more educated people were significantly associated with the intention to use community organizing services. Enabling factors, reputation and image of the community welfare center significantly affect intention to use community organizing services. People are more likely to use community organizing services when there is higher reputation of the community welfare center and better image of the community welfare center. Finally, intention to use is primarily affected by welfare consciousness, a need factor. People who have liberal welfare consciousness are more likely to use community organizing services. These findings provide implications and suggestions for increasing intention to use community organizing services at a community welfare center.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore ways to revitalize the community-based child care community by identifying the factors that are hindering and activating the operation and use of this community by elementary school students. To this end, an in-depth interview survey was conducted of operators of child care communities in Jeollabuk-do and users of caring communities. Detailed themes, sub-ranges and upper ranges were determined through a qualitative research method. As a result of the study, it was determined that the basic environmental weakness of the caring community and its lack of power are the things hindering the operation and use of rhe communities the most. On the other hand, the main activation factors for community-based child care community activities were the stabilization of the environment and the strengthening of the internal capacity of the care community. This study is meaningful as basic data for the safe establishment and activation of a community-based child care community, which is emerging as an alternative to the child care gap due to the prolonged effects of COVID-19.

  • The main objectives of this research are to compile all the researches published in the registered academic journals to study the trends of researches and analyze the relationships between research contents and the social factors so that the accomplishments of community related researches and future tasks can be identified. For this purpose, 97 papers published between 1973 and July 2011 were chronologically organized and analyzed in terms of research methods, main contents, and their relationship with social factors. The key findings are as follows; 1) Researches on multi-family-housing community started in 1973 mainly focusing on the social factors of neighbors in a complex; since 2000, however, the researches on physical factors were increased the most followed by psychological and social factors accordingly. 2) The research findings were not fully developed to give a guidance for appropriate space programs or an analysis of residents' preference on facilities. The cause of this shortfall is due to the fact that there was a lack of studies on residents' usage of community facilities based on quantified database. 3) More comprehensive researches should be conducted in the future for vitalizations of community through facility supply system and design guidelines, development and operation of community programs and measures to enhance community awareness targeted on public housing and more diverse types of housing being apart from typical multi-family-houisng provide by private sector.

  • Purpose: This study tries to systematically understand factors that explain levels of happiness among pregnant women in the Ecological systems theory. Methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted with 169 pregnant women in Korea. Collected data from self-report questionnaires were analyzed by hierarchical regression analysis using the SPSS statistics 23 program. Results: A total of 5 models were examined according to individual, microsystem, mesosystem, exosystem, and macrosystem in the Ecological systems theory. In the first model including individual factors, extraversion, neuroticism, and physical and psychological change constitute significant factors explaining happiness. In the second model with microsystem factors and in the third one with mesosystem factors, marital intimacy appears to be a significant factor. In the fourth model including exosystem factors, community service is a significant factor. In the final model with social atmosphere, personality (${\beta}=.15$ for extraversion; ${\beta}=-.30$ for neuroticism), physical and psychological change (${\beta}=-.15$), marital intimacy (${\beta}=.35$), and community service (${\beta}=.18$) turn out to be significant. These factors explain 59% of the variance of happiness in the pregnant women in Korea. Conclusion: Considering the fact that pregnant women's happiness is explained by microsystem and exosystem factors as well as individual factors, developing intervention programs that can promote influencing factors such as marital intimacy and community service is necessary to improve levels of happiness among pregnant women in Korea.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate factors that explain the degree of need for community welfare services designed for the residents of Wonju City. For this purpose, we identify five categories of community welfare services : employment no income supporting programs, residence supporting programs, public health programs, family programs and welfare facilities for enhancing quality of life. The data come from 234 adults living in Wonju city, Major findings can be summarized as follows. Firstly, we find that participants are well aware of needs for community welfare service, and that the degree of need for public health services is the highest among the five types of welfare programs. Secondly, we find differential effects of the individual factors such as predisposing, enabling, and need, and the community factors such as quality of environmental facilities which make daily lives convenient, and residential region. Particularly, environmental facilities appear to have a strong association with high needs for the majority of welfare services. Finally, differences between urban and rural areas are still observed. These results suggest that the responsibility of Wonju city for providing diverse and adequate welfare services should be emphasized. Priorities for welfare policies based on the empirical data are also taken into consideration in the process of developing community welfare policies.
