The need for and components of a contemporary community pharmacy externship for pharmacy students have not been clearly identified in Korea. Mail survey was performed among 20 college of pharmacy deans and 800 community pharmacists to analyze the current status and develop a consensus regarding major focus area and criteria of community pharmacy externship to be implemented under the separation of dispensary from medical practice in year 2000. Mail survey yielded $80\%\;and\;23.5\%$ response rate for pharmacy school deans and community pharmacists, respectively. Of the 16 pharmacy schools that responded 14 said they have externship program in hospital pharmacy, and only 8 pharmacy schools responded of having externship program for community pharmacy. However, these community pharmacy programs lacked criteria and standard guideline for the externship. The results of survey revealed that community pharmacy externship program for students should be organized and directed toward developing expert knowledge and skills in pharmacy practice activities, clinical services, communications, pharmacy management, and professionalism. Pharmacy practice components should include competencies and skills in computer application, prescription processing, dispensing, pharmaceutical compounding, Narcotics Control Law application, maintenance and provision of drug information, and laws and regulations. Clinical service components should include the ability to identify patient's drug-related problems, provide long-term patient care and appreciate drug therapy services. Communication skills should be taught to effectively express his/her professional opinion, deduce the needs of others, utilize appropriate techniques and media to communicate ideas and conduct a patient interview and to obtain patient drug history. Pharmacy management skills should be taught to be efficient in medical insurance and drug control process. It was found that professionalism, morality, pharmacy practice experience, ability to provide clinical services, collect and provide drug information and regality are important criteria of preceptors. Externship sites should possess the ability to stock various drugs, access and provide diverse pharmacy services and should have private patient counseling area. Most pharmacists agreed that top 200 drugs' generic and brand name, indications, dosage, side effects, and contraindication should be instructed during the externship. It was also found that student and preceptor should be evaluated for their performances during the externship. This information will be incorporated into teaming objectives for students and to develop Academic Extemship Program Guidelines.

Because LRT project is large infrastructure projects investing enormous budget and required continuous maintenance after construction, it is the global trend to perform business in terms of life-cycle from the initial construction, operation to disposal. It is very important LRT to manage interfaces efficiently and to integrate vehicle, civil, track, electricity, communications, signals, operations, facilities organically. Global companies of the railway developed countries including Europe are getting orders a large rail project and preempting the world market based on engineering technology. But, domestic LRT systems engineering is the subcontracting level to the lack of practical skills and experience. Thus, technology securement is very urgent for the independence of systems engineering technology and overseas advance based turnkey. In this paper, we are going to study applicable systems engineering technology focusing on LRT system based on international standard ISO/IEC 15288.

The purpose of this study were to discuss on the importance of community youth development programs and review the enhancement of competence in youth The research methods used the extensive review of related literatures. Based on the major results, the implications and suggestions were as follows. First, community youth activity will need to provide the opportunities of enhancing the competencies and a full complement of positive connections to youth programs. Second, communities promote to engage youth as partners with adults in the process of positive youth development. Third, youth development organizations operate to support the programs to prevent risky-behaviors or treat specific problems in terms of community youth contexts. Finally, collaboration and network are necessarily required among youth, adults, family, school, organizations within the community. Changes to work and workplace are so significant that policies refer to 'the knowledge society' at the same time 'information society'. Future workers will need to have the skills of information and communications management and control.

Recently, health care facilities has been rapidly reformed. This reformatioin has been so per vasive that even the newest hospital is rapidly becoming obsolete. Since the health care field is continually evolving, architecture for health must be adapted to the new environments. Today, a society with the emphasis on the broader, interactive scope of grobal markets and grobal communications, pursues the health network as the next step in evolution of health care facilities. Therefore, architectural firms will be forced to develop new skills, services, emphases, and organizational structures in order to respond to the rapidly changing needs and demands. It is our hope to present the possibilities of this healthcare network of the future.

The Most Serious Engine Faults Are Those That Occur Within The Engine. Traditional Engine Fault Diagnosis Is Highly Dependent On The Engineer'S Technical Skills And Has A High Failure Rate. Neural Networks And Support Vector Machine Were Proposed For Use In A Diagnosis Model. In This Paper, Noisy Sound From Faulty Engines Was Represented By The Mel Frequency Cepstrum Coefficients, Zero Crossing Rate, Mean Square And Fundamental Frequency Features, Are Used In The Hidden Markov Model For Diagnosis. Our Experimental Results Indicate That The Proposed Method Performs The Diagnosis With A High Accuracy Rate Of About 98% For All Eight Fault Types.

This research explored the importance of conflict resolution in communication between adolescents and their parents. A teaching and learning plan on communication using the Active listening, I-message method and no-lose conflict resolution method was developed and applied to teaching the 'Communication among Family Members' unit in the middle school home economics and technology textbook. The experimental class of 203 students using the active listening, I message and no-lose conflict resolution method in communication was compared with a comparative class of 163 students using only the active listening and I message method, investigating the amounts of communication, conflicts, functional communication and degree of satisfaction the students perceived regarding relationships with their parents via pre and post tests. Both groups showed significant increases in their amounts of communication and functional communication. However, only the experimental class showed an increase in their degree of relationship satisfaction with their parents. Both groups evaluated the lesson positively.

This study is to find out a way to foster self-directed learning math skills for the low-income youth at child care centers. Taking advantage of EBS materials, we found the youth, low-income youth in particular, were positively influenced to learn mathematics in the way of self-directed and action learning. This program gives a model of the self-directed math learning using the EBS mathematics materials. From the survey of this study, we found see that students started to have a positive attitude for learning and they started to gain new mathematical concept, and improved their problem solving, reasoning, communication and representation skills with these new leaning environments. This study tells us that this type of cooperative learning could help them to have an objective assessment, and gave a positive impact on self-directed learning.

This paper is aimed at finding whether foreign students' Korean speaking skills can be increased or not through memorizing whole Korean sentences and pair works. First, the advance studies on the effects of this teaching method were surveyed. Second, the activity of this study was mainly pair works with foreign students, so how to do this activity was described. This activity was intended to help each other with keeping study and correcting errors while drilling in class. Thanks to this convergence teaching approach the students' frequency of target language, the Korean language was dramatically increased, and their motivation and energy were brought from this activity. They have to do communications with each other because each pair was made of one Chinese and one Vietnamese. They have no choice but to use Korean in communication. Finally, the questionnaire and interviews also showed that almost all of the students were satisfied with this convergence teaching approach.

This study has investigated the way to improve the communication skills emphasized in mathematics education, and analyzed the effects of Communication Oriented Mathematics Lessons on the mathematical disposition and the academic achievements. For this research, two groups of first grade students from D elementary school in Daegu city were selected which had been proved homogeneous in mathematical disposition and academic achievements via a preliminary test. The experimental group was given Communication Oriented Mathematics Lessons (COML) while the control group was given Traditional Classroom-based Instruction (TCI). COML were given along with first grade, first level mathematics for eight weeks, to improve communication skills of the students who were unfamiliar with mathematical communications. The schemes for the education include revising, summarizing, asking questions, and participating. The results of the study were summarized for mathematical disposition and academic achievements. First, COML is effective to evaluate the will to solve problems in the mathematical disposition of the students, and to make it useful for them to live their lives and to learn other subjects. Second, previous studies have shown contrary interpretations on the effects of COML. This study has found that it does not improve the students' scores on the original form of academic achievement test.

DDC(Digital Down Converter) is a conversion technology to decimate to a lower sampling rate and DDC for the future development of communications technology has the necessary skills. So, it has been recognized in the wireless and the SDR(Software Defined Radio) system as essential components. In addition, research is underway on spectrum sensing for efficient communications environment due to the shortage of frequency resources. In this paper, the DDC systems were analyzed for CIC(Cascaded Integrator Comb) Filter, WDF(Wave Digital Filter), SRC(Sample Rate Conversion) each module. Moreover, we proposed a linkage effectively between DDC system and Spectrum Sensing for improve the efficiency of use of frequency by computer simulations. The simulation results of the DDC system was applied to the spectrum sensing capabilities. Also, performance and complexity of the results were derived and proposed system was the result of the check.
