  • The audio data have been communicated using analog methods or simple protocols. However, with the advent and improvement of various multimedia functions, many audio devices have been integrated into a mobile handset in which interconnection lines are very complicated. Conventional point-to-point connections such as $I^2S$ and PCM demand more power consumption whenever more devices are attached. In this paper, we design a common bus digital audio interface that communicates with only two wires and employs the clock gear method to reduce bus power consumption. The comparison results show that the proposed common bus connection can reduce more than 30% of power consumption as compared with point-to-point connection if more than three devices are connected.

  • Current IEEE 802.11p which is suggested for vehicle to vehicle communication supports one hop communication. Thus, it has a limitation to carry out efficient data dissemination. In this thesis, we suggest LTE-D2D based vehicle network to provide efficient data dissemination in the vehicle environment. In this network architecture, we use name based message with IP packet options and we put the intermediate vehicle node called 'super vehicle node' and each normal vehicle node in the cell requests data to the super vehicle node. The super vehicle node responses data to the normal vehicle node. Performance analysis is based mathematical modeling. We compare LTE cellular network to LTE-D2D based vehicle network about throughput according to packet delivery time.

  • In this paper, we suggest a message-based communication protocol and a dynamic role assignment mechanism for efficient cooperation and teamwork of agents in computer game environments. This role assignment mechanism is a new one different from both existing static and dynamic mechanisms, in which all decisions related with role assignment are made at once in design phase or execution phase. According to our mechanism, all possible role sets are determined in design phase. Detail decisions regarding which agent takes what role, however, are made in execution phase. This mechanism for role assignment can minimize the negotiation effort in execution phase. Therefore, this mechanism is quite effective especially in real-time multiagent environments. Through experiments, we show the superiority of the new dynamic role assignment mechanism.

  • This paper proposes a load balanced reliable routing protocol called LBR (Load Balanced Reliable routing) in wireless networks. The LBR protocol transmits messages through a reliable path considering the balancing of the traffic load. Recently, the authors have proposed a multipath-based reliable routing protocol called MRFR, which is an appealing protocol for fault tolerant reliable data transmission. However, However, MRFR has no concern with the problem of load balancing, which results in increasing congestion and consuming high energy at some network nodes. As a result, the problem affects negatively the performance of the network. Taking account of load balancing as a route selection criteria can avoid routing through the congested nodes and allows to find better routes. In this paper, we extend MRFR by considering load balancing in the route discovery process of reliable communication. The simulation results showed that the proposed protocol outperforms AODV in terms of end-to-end delay, packet delivery radio, and average jitter. Compared to MRFR, the LBR protocol has the same packet delivery ratio, and obtains a better efficiency of load balancing.

  • Plain old Web Services came true a services integration with use the XML that will be able to define a platform-independent document format in basic document format. Hut, the XML document decreases the efficiency of the whole application program with connects frequently in relatively slow communication media like network environment, embedded system or use the resource limited small-sized instrument like mobile. In this paper, we implemented the algorism of Fast Infoset, which can convert XML into Fast XML using the Fast Inoset method and PER encoding rules in ASN.1 and constructs Test Bed. Also, it is compared with the existing pure XML message method in difference of process performance after encoding SOAP messages of XML basis when constructing web service.

  • This paper introduces a method of sending and registering SMS using mobile LBS (Local Based Service) in social network service environment. This method acquires the location of the target person and object through the API and LBS, constructs the SMS based on the obtained information, and transmits and registers the SMS in the mobile environment. The composition of the SMS is the personal information of the object to be searched, the current position and the position of the object. Therefore, the user can quickly and accurately grasp the brief items and locations of objects to be searched through SMS. Also, Today we will improve the quality of life by providing upgraded service for shortening of appointment time and delivery.

  • Non-verbal communication is important in human interaction. It provides a layer of information that complements the message being transmitted. This type of information is not limited to human speakers. In human-robot communication, increasing the animacy of the robotic agent-by using non-verbal cues-can aid the expression of abstract concepts such as emotions. Considering the physical limitations of artificial agents, robots can use light and movement to express equivalent emotional feedback. This study analyzes the effects of LED and motion animation of a spherical robot on the emotion being expressed by the robot. A within-subjects experiment was conducted at the University of Tsukuba where participants were asked to rate 28 video samples of a robot interacting with a person. The robot displayed different motions with and without light animations. The results indicated that adding LED animations changes the emotional impression of the robot for valence, arousal, and dominance dimensions. Furthermore, people associated various situations according to the robot's behavior. These stimuli can be used to modulate the intensity of the emotion being expressed and enhance the interaction experience. This paper facilitates the possibility of designing more affective robots in the future, using simple feedback.

  • This paper deals with the development of a deep-learning-based robot that recognizes various types of stairs and performs a mission to go up to the target floor. The overall motion sequence of the robot is performed based on the ROS robot operating system, and it is possible to detect the shape of the stairs required to implement the motion sequence through rapid object recognition through YOLOv4 and Cuda acceleration calculations. Using the ROS operating system installed in Jetson Nano, a system was built to support communication between Arduino DUE and OpenCM 9.04 with heterogeneous hardware and to control the movement of the robot by aligning the received sensors and data. In addition, the web server for robot control was manufactured as ROS web server, and flow chart and basic ROS communication were designed to enable control through computer and smartphone through message passing.

  • Detecting anomalies in human movement is an important task in industrial applications, such as monitoring industrial disasters or accidents and recognizing unauthorized factory intruders. In this paper, we propose an abnormal worker movement detection system based on data stream processing and hierarchical clustering. In the proposed system, Apache Spark is used for streaming the location data of people. A hierarchical clustering-based anomalous trajectory detection algorithm is designed for detecting anomalies in human movement. The algorithm is integrated into Apache Spark for detecting anomalies from location data. Specifically, the location information is streamed to Apache Spark using the message queuing telemetry transport protocol. Then, Apache Spark processes and stores location data in a data frame. When there is a request from a client, the processed data in the data frame is taken and put into the proposed algorithm for detecting anomalies. A real mobility trace of people is used to evaluate the proposed system. The obtained results show that the system has high performance and can be used for a wide range of industrial applications.
