  • If a image doesn't include sufficient data of output size and resolution, we will scan again the image. Interpolation generates a new pixel by methematical average of processing. In the interpolation method, there are nearest neighbor interpolation, bilinear interpolation and bicubic interpolation etc. This study was carried out for the purpose of researching compatible method to digital scan image caused by only different interpolation methods. Nearest neighbor interpolation show superior effect in the drawing image. Bilinear interpolation show reduction in detail and contrast. Bicubic interpolation show superior effect in the digital photo image USM(Unsharp Mask) application after extension by interpolation show better than extension by interpolation after USM(unsharp mask) application.

  • The most industrial instruments for monitoring and control are occurring the extension problem and the external protocol compatibility. In this paper, we developed the boards for the industrial communication monitoring that are able to convert the protocol in various communication between devices and instruments. These are consisted the main board and several sub-board. They can have extension using the main board connection. The sub-board support the each communication method or data transfer. The main board was used the Atmega 2560 Microprocessor of AVR series, and the sub-boards are have the Atmega 256 or Atmega 128 in the AVR series. We have designed to connect the sub-board using placed the 4 RS485 serial slots in the main board. The sub-boards were developed to support the analog and digital I/O. These are able to have monitoring by CAN and Ethernet communication. The experimental results, we obtained good data transfer rate and conversion rate.

  • One of the major functions of rural extension services is to transfer agricultural technologies and information, and advanced new agricultural techniques developed by research institutes, which are meaningful when they are transferred to farmers for practicl application. Information materials can be transferred in the form of newspapers, radio and television broadcasting, printed materials, audio-visual aids, and public communication networks. Agricultural information systems in the era of localization should be oriented toward county extension services, and the following points should be emphasized for more effective dissemination of agricultural technologies : 1) Central organization of the Rural Development Administration should put more emphasis on the production and dissemination of agricultural information to support activities of extension agents at the county level. 2) An Agricultural information center should be established for more effective collection, analysis, processing, production and dissemination of various agri-related information. 3) An advanced and unified network system should be adopted for more accuate and rapid information flow throughout the country, and reinforcement of manpower and facility at the county level should be emphasized for more effective dissemination of agricultural information.

  • Agricultural extension service in Ethiopia was started in early 1950s with mandate of transferring local research outputs and technologies to farmers, and importing technologies and improved practices from abroad. Extension service provided in this early time was limited to areas surrounding the experiment stations. Since then, Ethiopian Agricultural extension service has passed through at least five stages: the land grant extension system, the Comprehensive Package Programs, the Minimum Package Projects, the Peasant Agricultural Development Program, and the Participatory Demonstration and Training Extension System (PADETS). The comprehensive package extension program was initially implemented in selected pilot areas and eventually to be scaled up to cover about 90% of the farming community within 15-20 years time. The program used demonstration plots managed by development agents and used to train farmers organized through various field days. However, since all of these programs were operational in only small areas, the vast majority of the country was out of their reach. Through Participatory Demonstration and Training Extension System, the extension service in Ethiopia has come under the spotlight and government debates and external reviews are putting additional scrutiny on the system. Despite this long history, the system is still in its infancy in terms of coverage, communication and institutional pluralism. Currently in Ethiopia the Agricultural extension is provided primarily by the public sector, operating in a decentralized manner through which extension is implemented at the district level. Therefore, the main focus of this paper is to scrutinize the past, the present and the future Agricultural extension system in Ethiopia.

  • In this paper, a new robot system is designed and manufactured to improve the educational robot. The main processor is realized using the ARM Cortex-M3 and the co-processor is implemented by AVR ATMega2560 to deal with data coming from sensor modules. The processor of sensor modules was developed by the AVR ATMega8. The communication system is composed with IIC communication to alleviate the load of main processor. We have developed the educational robot system adopting the hub module for extension characteristics.

  • Implementation of faster pairing calculation is the basis of efficient pairing-based cryptographic protocol implementation. Generally, pairing is a costly operation carried out over the extension field of degree $k{\geq}12$. But the twist property of the pairing friendly curve allows us to calculate pairing over the sub-field twisted curve, where the extension degree becomes k/d and twist degree d = 2, 3, 4, 6. The calculation cost is reduced substantially by twisting but it makes the discrete logarithm problem easier if the curve parameters are not carefully chosen. Therefore, this paper considers the most recent parameters setting presented by Barbulescu and Duquesne [1] for pairing-based cryptography; that are secure enough for 128-bit security level; to explicitly show the quartic twist (d = 4) and sextic twist (d = 6) mapping between the isomorphic rational point groups for KSS (Kachisa-Schaefer-Scott) curve of embedding degree k = 16 and k = 18, receptively. This paper also evaluates the performance enhancement of the obtained twisted mapping by comparing the elliptic curve scalar multiplications.

  • This paper discuss the sequential digital logic systems and arithmetic operation algorithms which is the important material in computer architecture using analysis and synthesis which is based on extension logic for binary logic over galois fields. In sequential digital logic systems, we construct the moore model without feedback sequential logic systems after we obtain the next state function and output function using building block T-gate. Also, we obtain each algorithms of the addition, subtraction, multiplication, division based on the finite fields mathematical properties. Especially, in case of P=2 over GF($P^m$), the proposed algorithm have a advantage which will be able to apply traditional binary logic directly. The proposed method can construct more efficiency digital logic systems because it can be extended traditional binary logic to extension logic.

  • The 3D ultrasonic anemometer transmits measured data by connecting PC and RS232C interface. Depending on the observation location, it is often necessary to extend the cable connecting the PC and the sensor. When installing on the test bed of the Air Meteorological Agency, the original AWM2919 cable was required to be extended because the distance between the PC container and the equipment installation site was more than 30 m. The cable was extended through a process such as extending the AWM2919 cable, converting the interface with the PC from RS232C to RS485, and testing the RS485 communication. After the equipment was installed with an extended cable, data were remotely collected and analyzed to confirm successful cable extension.

  • Fluorescent nucleic acids were prepared utilizing the polymerase extension (PEX) reaction to incorporate fluorescent molecules. 2'-Deoxyuridine triphosphate (dUTP) derivatives possessing pyrene molecules as fluorophores were synthesized using the aqueous-phase Sonogashira coupling between 5-Iodo-dUTP and acetylene-linked pyrene molecules. The incorporation of the pyrene (Py)-labeled deoxyuridine triphosphates (PyU) into DNA by polymerase was evaluated by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, demonstrating that the PyU can work as a good substrate for the PEX reaction. The fluorescent properties of the functionalized DNA prepared by the PEX reaction were characterized by steady-state fluorescence measurements. The Py-conjugated DNA showed typical emission spectra of the pyrene, and the DNA with two pyrene molecules connected to each other by a diethylene glycol linker exhibited a broadened emission attributed to the electronic interaction between the Py molecules.
