Nowadays, multimedia and Hypermedia become hot topics in information industry. Due to high capacity of media storage and fast communication network, it is possible to exchange text data as well as image, moving picture and voice. Especially to apply hypermedia under CALS standard environment, the relation between international standard and CALS standard needs to be considered. This study introduces conceptual background and processing model of HyTime (Hypermedia Time-based Structuring Language) which is a specification of hypermedia exchange, Hyper ODA (Hyper Open Document Architecture) which is a major multimedia communication basis, MMCF (Multimedia Communication Forum), AHM(Amsterdam Hypermedia Model), and DSRM(DAVIC System Reference Model) reference model which helps determination of hypermedia communication specification Although they are international standard, provisional standard or non-standard, it discusses the Possibility of adopting them as CALS standard. Hence, this paper chooses the best recommend for CALS among these models.

In this paper, we described a design and implementation of a sensor node for environmental monitoring. The main focus of design for sensor nodes is to isolate MCU for treating sensors from the RF module for considering various communication environment. The second is to make the interface between MCU and varity of sensor. In addition, we choose a narrow band communication module, cc1020, for the admittance of Korea government comminication law. We also use a uC/OS-II as an operating system which is famous for 8bit MCUs. We showed that the communication performance is sufficient to use the communication module in a out-door environment through several experiments in that it is possible to transmit between loom distance through experiments in a mountain.

Multi-agent technologies are essential in realizing the upcoming ubiquitous environment. In the multi-agent environment, each agent has its own set of services and stores these services in the service repository of the multi-agent system. By using this repository, the user can retrieve the most appropriate service. In this paper, we propose an efficient service repository architecture that can improve the existing agent-based service discovery.

In this paper, we investigate the outage performance of a cognitive relay network. We consider mutual interference in an independent, non-identically distributed Nakagmai-m fading environment. We first derive the close-form outage probability expression, which provides an efficient means to evaluate the effects of several parameters. This allows us to study the impact of several parameters on the network's performance. We then derive the asymptotic expression and reveal that the diversity order is strictly determined by the fading severity of the cognitive system. It is not affected by the primary network. Moreover, the primary network only affects the coding gain of the cognitive system. Finally, Monte Carlo simulations are provided, which corroborate the analytical results.

Development of mobile technology has brought a rapid change in people's lifestyle. Mobile is currently expanding its scope and diffusing the range in diverse fields of smart environments. Many of the means are being used as an alternative of communication by users in the mobile environment. Among them, it is currently in an increasing trend of using mobile stickers as a means for communication. This study is intended to analyze mobile stickers as a means for communication and seek for a direction of development of mobile stickers through analysis on user preference.

In this paper, we present a practical implementation of the MPEG-21 multimedia framework for broadcasting and communication convergent services. MPEG-21 standard technology was exploited to build a convergent service framework. Using this framework, a service model and several scenarios have been successfully designed and implemented. In addition, interoperability, which is the main objective of a multimedia framework, especially in a convergent environment consisting of heterogeneous networks and various types of devices, has been addressed in detail. The experimental results show that the implemented test bed provides a next-generation multimedia service; that is, universal multimedia access (UMA), meeting the requirements of a broadcasting and communication convergent environment.

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between problem behaivior of children and parent-adolescent communication family cohesion and adaptability as the variation of psychological environment of family. The subjects of this study were 494 children of sixth garders randomly selected from four elementary schools in Seoul and their parents. The result of this study showed that Empatic and supportive communication of parent-child above all father-child was suggesting to prevent children behavior problem. It is needed to consider family cohesion & adaptability according to behavior problem of character to develop suitable coping ability. Father and mother' endavor for opening communication. It was needed that to improve family cohesion & adaptability as a psychological environment of family.

Security is a primary concern in group communication, and secure authentication is essential to establishing a secure group communication. Most conventional authentications consist of knowledge-based and token-based methods. One of the token-based methods is a X.509 certificate, which is used under a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI); it is the most well-known authentication system in a distributed network environment. However, it has a well-known weakness, which only proves the belonging of a certificate. PKI cannot assure identity of a person. The conventional knowledge-based and token-based methods do not really provide positive personal identification because they rely on surrogate representations of the person's identity. Therefore, I propose a secure X.509 certificate with biometric information to assure the identity of the person who uses the X.509 certificate in a distributed computing environment.
