Electronics System Design of a Generic Meteorological Buoy (기상관측 부이용 전자통신시스템 설계)

  • This paper is to study and design a generic electronics system for a meteorological buoy. It mainly covers the communication methods of a buoy with base station, data post processing and power design of a generic weather buoy system. The experiment result shows the design is capable to works well in term of data receive from buoy at base station, battery life time and able to work standalone without any power exhausted problem.

  • Culture is the soul of tourism, and communication is the key to the inheritance and development of tourism culture. Therefore, culture and communication are essential for the development of tourism. Digital media art is a new form of art that combines technical, artistic, and media-oriented elements. Its artistic expression and crossover communication capabilities drive its usage in cultural tourism communication. This paper examines the influence of digital media art on tourism culture communication and development by elucidating the concept and characteristics of tourism culture communication and digital media art, applying the theoretical knowledge of communication, and deriving the specific characteristics of digital media art on tourism culture in terms of the transmission-reception relationship, content, medium, and effect. The role and value of digital media art in disseminating and developing tourism culture are discussed. We aim to provide valuable insights for the dissemination of tourism culture.

The Reliability-Based Design Optimization for the Military Communication Equipment considering the Design Uncertainty (설계 불확실성이 고려된 군용 통신 장비의 신뢰성 기반 최적설계)

  • The military communication equipment is required the high reliability for operating adequate functions under severe conditions. This reliability is the essential element for the quality of the product, for the uncontrolled factors, such as the clearance, damage of the material, the reduction of stiffness, which are the designer is unable to handle. In this paper, the uncertainty for the design was supposed to the probability model for the military communication equipment, and the average of the objective function was minimized for reducing design uncertainty. The reliability-based design optimization which was implemented the limit state function was formulated into the mathematical model, so the reliable optimized structure was implemented than the base-line design.

  • The stage space in theatre for the performance of a play requires two aspects of the physical space for a play and the image as the background or the theme of a play. This research focuses on the scene design that creates the background or the theme of a play and communicates it to the audience. The scene design is composed of various design elements of space and objects as the properties of a play. Design elements and the objects are the design languages in various form; plane, three-dimensional, multi-dimensional form. These design language have the significant meaning as a sign like human language. The scene design is completed with rhetorical expression for communication in theatre. This research defines the category of meaning that design elements of scene design can create and the rhetorical expression of the scene design language. King Lear directed by Robert G. Anderson was analyzed with the category of design elements as a sign and the pattern of the rhetorical expression. The scene design for a play is completed effectively by the rhetorical expression of design elements as the design language for communication with the audience in theatre.

The Effect of Consumers' Trust in Communication with Online Fashion Mall Avatars on Performance Expectancy and Re-use Intentions (소비자의 온라인 패션몰 아바타에 대한 커뮤니케이션 신뢰가 아바타에 대한 성과기대 및 재사용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigates the effect of consumers' trust in communication with online fashion mall avatars on performance expectancy and re-use intention. For the empirical study, 207 adults were surveyed using a 5-point Likert scale, and the results were analyzed with SPSS 21.0. The analysis reveals the following results. First, the factor analysis of trust in communication with the avatar, performance expectancy, and re-use intention revealed cognitive and affective trust as subfactors of the trust in communication with the avatar, while purchase choice expectations and performance expectancy were identified as subfactors of performance expectancy for the avatar. A total of five factors, including re-use intention, were recognized. Second, the trust in communication with online fashion mall avatars significantly positively affected performance expectancy for the avatar. Among the subfactors, cognitive trust was determined to have a greater influence on purchase choice expectations than affective trust. Third, the performance expectancy for the online fashion mall avatar significantly positively affected re-use intention. Notably, the subfactor performance expectancy had a greater influence than purchase choice expectations. Finally, trust in communication with online fashion mall avatars significantly positively affected re-use intention. Accordingly, the sub-factor cognitive trust had a greater influence on re-use intention than affective trust. The results of this study are academically significant in that they empirically test the influence relationship between trust in communication, performance expectancy, and re-use intention, considering the personal characteristics of online fashion mall avatars on consumers using the Meta-UTAUT model in the fashion field.
