In this paper, we study the robot controller design using the voice and data communication via CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) mobile communication network. We design the robot remote controller using the three methods, telephone call speech recognition, DTMF (Dual Tone Multiple Frequency) realization, SMS(Short Message Service) transmission/reception way via CDMA mobile communication network. We investigate the validity and effectiveness of the proposed remote controller which applied to the mobile robot.

This paper presents two methods of designing a Broadband Impedance Matching (BIM) circuit for maximizing a power line communication (PLC) equipment (or Modem) signal injection into its load at any power line connection port. This optimal (BIM) circuit design is achieved in two phases: Butterworth gain function and Tchebycheff gain function. According to the comparison of simulation and practical results, the performances of two gain functions on BIM are discussed.

The design characteristics of circular vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers are studied by using a newly developed equivalent network. Optical parameters, such as the stop-band or the reflectivity of periodic mirrors and the resonance wavelength, are explored for the design of these structures. To evaluate the differential quantum efficiency and the threshold current density, a transverse resonance condition of modal transmission-line theory is also utilized. This approach dramatically reduces the computational time as well as gives an explicit insight to explore the optical characteristics of circular vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs).

In this paper, we present a method of analysing perturbed linear system by pole sensitivity defined by the rate of pole movement with respect of perturbation. Pole sensitivity give us not only the rate of pole movement but also the directional information of the pole movement. We present a method of design of a LQR by considering the pole sensitivity and show that the suggested method guarantee the stability robustness of parameter perturbation.

VoIP는 IP 단말간에 단순히 음성을 전달하는 데 사용되었다. VoIP는 단말간 음성 통화를 효율적으로 제공하고 있으나 사용자들에게 부가서비스도 지원할 필요가 있다. 본 논문은 VoIP에서 부가서비스 지원을 위하여 SIP 기반으로 CPL을 지원하기 위한 통신 기능의 설계를 기술한다.

Optical fiber subscriber receive communication system is a core technology of multimedia home networks because it provides the high-level quality of data and services. This paper executes an analysis and research on this communication systems and presents the theoretical background for the purpose of understanding the optical communication system principal and explaining signal process flows to divide each block for the implementing ASIC design.

This study purports to contribute in deepening our understanding of ISD (instructional systems design/development) from Edward Hall's concept of intercultural communication. Renowned anthropologist Edward Hall introduced three concepts of cultural differences: time, space, and context. This paper explores how theses cultural dimensions - time, space and context- are reflected in ISD and compares the cultural differences between the east and the west that emerge in the process of applying ISD.

This paper considers a robust observer-based $H_{\infty}$ controller design method for descriptor systems with parameter uncertainties using just one LMI condition. The sufficient condition for the existence of controller and the controller design method are presented by a perfect LMI condition in terms of all variables using singular value decomposition, Schur complement, and change of variables. Therefore, one of the main advantages is that a robust observer-based $H_{\infty}$ controller is found by solving one LMI condition compared with existing results. Numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller design method.

The finite-field multiplication can be applied to the wide range of applications, such as signal processing on communication, cryptography, etc. However, an efficient algorithm and the hardware design are required since the finite-field multiplication takes much time to compute. In this paper, we propose a radix-4 systolic multiplier on $GF(2^m)$ with comparative area and performance. The algorithm of the proposed standard-basis multiplier is mathematically developed to map on low-cost systolic cell, so that the proposed systolic architecture is suitable for VLSI design. Compared to the bit-serial and digit-serial multipliers, the proposed multiplier shows relatively better performance with low cost. We design and synthesis $GF(2^{193})$ finite-field multiplier using Hynix $0.35{\mu}m$ standard cell library and the maximum clock frequency is 400MHz.

21세기 정보화시대에 커뮤니케이션의 혼란 속에서 모노그룹(monogram)은 비쥬얼 아이 덴터티를 위한 시각언어로서 정보전달의 매우 중요한 심 볼로 등장하였다. 모노그램은 비쥬얼메세지의 가장 훌륭한 적임자로서, 오늘날 그 역할이 점차 중요시되고 있다. 본 논문은 심볼 디자인의 조형요소로서, 모노그램의 본질과 기능 그리고 상징성 등을 연구하여 심볼을 연구하는 사람들에게 모노그램의 정확한 이해를 통하여 한국적 모노그램의 발전적 가능성에 그 목적을 두었다.
