  • In this paper, we carry out research on the convenient and useful Science Instrument Management System in order to make the best use of the necessity of science instrument manager and the convenience of Internet. This System is expected to provide a utilization and a common ownership made list of science instruments of elementary school using XML in the position of standardized web. And we developed the Science Instrument Manage System based on XML, which can manage a science instruments under any circumstances.

  • The harmonics in railway high voltage system is due to common use of 3 phase incoming bus and doing the power converter for traction system on the electric car(or electric locomotive). This paper, we analyze the harmonics mechanism and characteristics of railway high voltage system, also we analyze the problem according to the actual measurement about influence of harmonicsontherailwayhighvoltagesystem. And we proved the countermeasure device(passive filter or L-C filter) of harmonics applies in the field. The test result, we have know that the filter is not fit. Consequently, The countermeasure of harmonics for the railway high voltage system be able to resolve by another filter.

  • The mobile communication network has to offer good quality of services (QoS), high capacity, and more coverage at a lower cost. However, with the increase of cellular user, the shortage of capacity due to unbalanced call distribution and lack of QoS are common. This paper deals with dynamic sectorization for efficient resource management to solve load unbalancing among microcells in CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) microcellular system. Dynamic load balancing can be effected by grouping micro-cells properly and grouping can be developed through a routing mechanism. Therefore, we use ants and their routes to choose the optimum grouping of micro-cells into sectors using Multiple Ant Colony System (MACS)in this paper.

  • The advantages of using components result from their reusability between applications. Applications can be easily implemented by adding components. In this paper, we described the design and implementation process of ASC(Application Service Component) for component-based GIS applications. In our project, there are 5 applications : Road Facility Management, Urban Planning, Cadastral Map Management, Water Supply Management, and Sewerage Management. All of them use MapBase component which supports common GIS functionality. Although they are different applications, some parts of them are same. We analyzed the developed results in 1st and 2nd year, and the achievement of UIS(Urban Information System) project in Busan Metro City in Korea. The UIS of Busan was consisted of 5 applications to equal with our project. Then, we extracted 11 common used components between 5 applications, and implemented 5 common components of them and 2 additional components. They were Authority, GISReport, IndexMap, Measurement, Search, Symbol Manager, and Attribute Display. As we offered them to companies developing application components, they were able to reduce the development time.

  • Navigation Software for the various weapon systems has common functionalities which give the possibility of common use among them. SPL(Software Product Line) framework of the navigation software for weapon system refers to developing a standardized navigation software platform from common functionalities of navigation software, managing the standardized navigation software platform, and developing weapon system navigation software such as navigation software for missile, UAV(Unmanned Air Vehicle), submarine, and etc. from the standardized navigation software platform. In this paper, we propose SPL based navigation software development process, Integrated Development Environment and operational concept of SPL framework. The operational concept will be defined by specifying the role of every stake holders and their activity scenario. The Operational concept would be referenced to implement SPL for other domain through using with detail implementation guide.

  • This paper presents a design method for combinational digital logic systems using time domain based multiplexing and common multi-terminal extension decision diagrams. The proposed method can reduce the 1)hardware, 2)logic levels and 3)pins. In the logic system design, we use two types of decision diagrams(DDs), that is the common binary decision diagrams and CMTEDDs. Also, we propose an algorithms to derive common multiple-terminal binary decision diagrams from CBDDs, and CMTEDDs from CMTBDDs. The CMTEDDs over CBDDs is more compactness in terms of number of non-terminal nodes, where the nodes for output selection variables are not included in the non-terminal nodes. In the logic design, each non-terminal nodes of an CBDDs and an CMTEDDs is realized by a multiplexer(MUX). In addition, we compare the proposed TDBM realization with the conventional one.

  • This paper presents a design method for multiple-output combinational digital logic systems using time domain based on multiplexing(TDBM) and common multi-terminal extension decision diagrams(CMTEDD). The CMIEDDs represents extension valued multiple-output functions, while TDBM systems transmit several signals on a single lines.   • Recently, WiBro has been developed to efficiently support real-time broadcasting with wireless system. MBS (Multicast Broadcast Service) based on WiBro has numerous applications such as DMB. Since the current MBS uses only common channel managed by scheduling, it cannot effectively support many users at the same time. This paper proposes a new counting scheme with which the channel mode can be properly switched between common channel and dedicated channel. It thus allows efficient use of limited radio resource in WiBro for the MBS.

A Survey on actual state or patients visited one emergency medical center (일개 응급센타에 내원한 일부 내원자의 실태조사)

  • We have reviewed 2.876 patients who visited the emergency room from May, 1996 to september, 1996 in order to look for a more appropriate management of the emergency medical system. The result were summarized as followings; 1. Considering sexual distribution, male patients were 59.6% more than female patients 40.4% and according to age categories, first decade of life was most frequent. 2. Distribution according to ca use is most common for the disease 79.8%, and next injury and traffic accident is 11.6%, 6.8%, respectively. 3. According to the department distribution, pediatrics accounted for 37.4%, internal medicine 21.1%, and emergency medicine 10.0%, and these three departments was 66.3% of total number of patients. 4. 67.0% of patients visited emergency room were discharged. Arrived time in emergency room, patients of 41.9% was visited from 17 to 1 hours. 5. Among 196 patients of traffic accident, 160 were male(81.5%) and 36 were female (18.5%). Distribution of the age is most common in 3rd and 4th decade for 63.2%, and region of injury were face 33.3%, head 22.2%, and chest 22.2% and follow-up measures after visiting emergency room is most common transfer hospital 40.8%.
