A Study on the Collection Use of an Academic Library: Focused on the Analysis of Circulation Statistics of the A-Academic Library Users (대학도서관의 자료 이용에 관한 연구 - A대학도서관 이용자의 대출통계 분석을 중심으로 -)

  • The goal of this study is to analyze use patterns of library collections using circulation statistics of academic library user's. For this purpose, the 264,804 circulation-related data of A-academic library which were occurred between March 2012 and February 2013 were collected and used. Five patterns of common user group (undergraduate, graduate students, professors, staffs, the others users) are identified for this study. Gross circulation statistics was analyzed and compared for different users groups and for different subjects. And based on these analysis results, author understood degree of collection use by subject, degree of collection use by user groups, latest materials preference in collection use by subject, latest materials preference in collection use by user groups.

Elementary School Teachers' Recognition for the Implementation of 2009 Revised National Science Curriculum (2009 개정 과학과 교육과정의 실행에 대한 초등학교 교사의 인식)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze elementary school teachers' implementation for the emphasis on the revision, major contents, teaching and learning method, and evaluation in the 2009 revised national science curriculum. To fulfill the purpose of this study we carried out a survey with 222 elementary school teachers. Main findings of this research were as follows: First, they highly agreed to the increase in class hours and the application of subject classroom, but they had a lower recognition for setting the subject groups. Second, the degree of necessity in discussion and STS was relatively high, but the degree of implementation in science writing, discussion and STEAM was low. Third, in teaching and learning method, they showed a high performance for mutual cooperation, student-led activities and communication, but, a low implementation for open inquiry and instruction considering individual differences. Fourth, in the evaluation of science learning, they showed a high implementation for evaluation based on achievement standards and one based on the understanding and application of basic concepts, but, a low implementation for the development of common evaluation tools. Fifth, it seemed that their recognition for amount, level and interest of science contents and inquiry activities was appropriate and positive.

Evaluating the Predictive Validity for the New Pressure Sores Risk Assessment Scale (수정욕창위험 사정도구의 예측타당도 평가)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was To exam the skin and pressure sore and To evaluate the predictive validity for the new pressure sores risk assessment scale. Method: There was finally 211 neurosurgery subject admitted in Chung-Ang Univ. Hospital from Nov, 11, 2002 to Feb, 11, 2003. Data was collected three times per week from 48-72hr after admission until incidence of pressure sores or discharge or die. Inclusion criteria were; (1) no pressure sores at admittance, (2) at least 3 times assessment, (3) adults older than 16yrs, (4) patients consent to participate in study. Result: 1. 34 case of 211 developed pressure sores(11.6%). 2. The coccyx area was the most common occurrence site of pressure sores. 3. At the cutoff point 23 of sensitivity 100%, specificity 76.3% was higher in 2003 than specificity 63.8% at the cutoff point 26 of sencitivity 100% in 1991. 4. "Moisture" of subscale for pressure sores risk factor was the strongest predictor. Conclusion: This study shows that the New Pressure Sores Risk Assessment Scale still predict the risk of developing pressure sores in neurosurgical subject.

The Study on the Cost Analysis Based on ABC System in Clinical Laboratory (활동기준원가시스템을 이용한 임상병리과 검사 서비스 원가 분석)

  • The main purpose of this study is to compare the traditional cost system and ABC(Activity Based Cost) system of clinical laboratory department in a hospital. The study subject was 296 services in clinical laboratory from March, 1997 to August, 1997. In a new costing system, cost for a lab test consist of direct cost element, activity based cost element, and allocated common cost element. In a traditional cost system, cost elements included direct cost element and indirect cost allocated based on test volumes The major findings of this research were as follows. 1. In the application of ABC system, total cost was analyzed as follows. Direct cost was 39.3% of total cost. Activity cost and allocation were 20.9% and 39.8%, respectively. The results of analysis to use traditional cost system were as follows. Direct cost was 39.3% and it was as same as the result of direct cost of ABC system. Indirect cost was 60.7%. 2. Activities of clinical laboratory of subject hospital were registration, pre-test operation, test, test result handling, delivery, culture, post-test operation, technical support, management support, and educational support. 3. The differences of the case of higher number of test case being carried out, the cost of ABC system was lower than the cost of traditional cost system. Otherwise in the case of lower number of test case being carried out, the rests have not been appropriately evaluated, and effective management were needed in clinical laboratory.

  • Joint mobilization and mechanical traction are common treatment forms for mechanical cervical spine problem. The purpose of the study was to investigate the effectiveness of cervical mobilization and mechanical traction on active range of motion of cervical spine. Sixty volunteers, aged between 21 and 24 years (mean age 22), were recruited. Each subject was divided into one of three groups; mechanical traction, general coordinative manipulation, and mobilization group. Active range of motions in the cervical were measured before and after each treatment technique from each subject on the three occasions. In the cervical range of motion, all subjects regardless treatment technique showed significantly increasing ranges after applied treatment technique in all directions except extension and left rotation in the mobilization group.

  • From the mid-1990s in Korea, performance assessment has been continuously emphasized in school mathematics and thus many researchers and teachers have been steadily studying this topic. But the concepts relevant to performance assessment and its purposes are very confusing because the mathematics educators' different views and voices are vary. As a result most mathematics teachers experience trouble in executing performance assessment properly and effectively in their math class. This unability for proper execution of performance assessment was once again revealed in this study which dealt with 15 articles on performance assessment. These 15 articles includes almost every article written on the topic of performance assessment that have been published in 4 domestic journals since December 1997. By examining this inability, it is required that its concepts and purposes should be organized with a common view and newly defined in the near future.   • The implementation of electronic transaction raises some new legal and institutional problem so it is necessary for us to prepare alternatives. As the development of electronic transaction is difficult without smooth settlement of dispute the pursue of smooth settlement of dispute is very important menu. while the most common method relating to the settlement of dispute is litigation. them relating to the litigation, the subject of governing law so jurisdiction and the subject of governing laws should be resolved above all. Further more in addition, the old act prior act was regarded as insufficient in that it lacked rules on international governing law to adjudicate, or international adjudicatory governing law, where as the expectation of the public was that the private international law should function as the basic law of the legal relational encompassing rules on governing law given the increase of It international disputes. for the move the private international law has also attracted more attention from the korean. Therefore, governing law to application concerned about electronic transaction should be prepared and the environment to keep electronic transaction secure and stable be guaranteed. And we should make plans to protect companies and consumers and should make efforts to expand electronic transaction infrastructure .

  • In examining the relationship between fashion and art which are intimately interrelated, the body is a suitable subject in that it is the common object of representation. This study investigates and compares the images of the body in Francis Bacon's paintings from 1940s to 1970s and the formative aspect and aesthetic value of the abstract body images in Rei Kawakubo's designs since 1980s. The figures in Bacon's paintings are confusingly and atypically deformed as well as distorted, which are the combinations of the anatomies without references, not so much represented objects as experienced sense. Kawakubo's designs attempt to deform the body, moreover, she transforms the body; represent abstract forms without association with any other figures that exist, emphasizing sculptural or architectural shapes of garment. She suggests extensive visual language of dress by challenging the norms of beauty. The body in Bacon and Kawakubo's works is dispersive as well as complex in that the body images are deconstructed, fragmented, and exaggerated. Respectively, they articulate the perception of the body in postmodernism era by destroying the myth of subject; furthermore establish the aesthetics that transcend conventional ideals by reevaluating as well as refusing the standards of beauty.

Development of flipped learning class model for nail beauty education (네일미용 교육을 위한 플립러닝(flipped learning) 수업모형 개발)

  • Flipped learning research has been applied in various educational fields since 2015 and the educational effects have been discussed in previous literature. In the beauty field, flipped learning research is insufficient; in particular, it is difficult to find research on flipped learning specifically concerning nail beauty education. The purpose of this study is to develop a model for applying flipped learning to nail beauty education which should involve practical training based on theory. Such an approach is considered effective. Data were collected and analyzed focusing on previous studies with flipped learning applied as a research method. The subject of the research is "Nail Color Design 1", a common nail major elective subject at J college. The "Nail Color Design 1" course is a practice-oriented course in the form of theory and practical classes. Consequently, the flipped learning education model for nail beauty was designed by reflecting learners' needs through the ADDIE instructional design model. It was applied based on the education structure of the Pre-class, In-class, and Post-class of the PARTNER instructional learning model. This study deviates from the traditional practical education model, and has educational significance as a practical model in which flipped learning is applied to nail beauty subjects and self-reflection is derived through project practice.
