This paper aimed to suggest decision-making method for forest management planning using integer programming. Thus, the study examined 85 stands consisting of Korean pine, Japanese larch and oak stands-all of which were at the most suitable time for tending, selection thinning, commercial thinning and final cutting-in the experimental forest of Kangwon National University. The forest management model comprised one objective function, maximizing harvest volume in each stand according to tree species and the kinds of practices, and seven constraints: frequency and stands of practices, minimum and maximum yields, even yields, maximum production, and decision-making varialbes. Besides, the entire period intended by the study was 10 years, divided into 5 management periods. In conclusion, the forest management planning model using integer programming proved that among 85 stands, forest practices were conducted over 68 stands (202.8 ha), producing the total harveted volume of $20,000m^3$, while the rest was reserved. This case study could help make decisions on whether and when the forest practices and harvests could be done in a specific condition.

There is both a commercial and social imperative for innovation-led economic development. The data on inventions shows the importance of cities in the role of creating this important foundation to innovation. The importance of new venture firms in the innovation process of taking inventions to market is widely recognised, and with this recognition the science parks and science cities are working to understand and replicate the social, business and technology environments which are most fertile for these companies. This paper reviews how those with an interest in this process have addressed this challenge with new business practices and planning activities. It draws particularly on the experiences of Tech City in London and the Surrey Research Park

Fixed-mobile convergence services can be defined as the combination of previously separate fixed and mobile services, and networks and commercial practices. Examples of fixed-mobile convergence services include single voicemail box, single number and unified messaging across fixed and mobile networks. Recently as more voice is transferred to mobile networks, convergence services between fixed and mobile become more important. In Korea convergence services are only starting to become established, and are likely to become an important part of any operator's offering. In this paper, I search the different levels of fixed-mobile convergence services and the trends and regulations for fixed-mobile convergence services in major countries. And at the same time I also try to find a new direction of future regulatory principles related to fixed-mobile convergence services.

Metal casting is a process in which molten metal or liquid metal is poured into a mold made of sand, metal, or ceramic. The mold contains a cavity of the desired shape to form geometrically complex parts. The casting process is used to create complex shapes that are difficult to make using conventional manufacturing practices. For the optimal casting process design of sleeve parts, various analyses were performed in this study using commercial finite element analysis software. The simulation was focused on the behaviors of molten metal during the mold filling and solidification stages for the precision and sand casting products. This study developed high-life sleeve parts for the sink roll of continuous hot-dip galvanizing equipment by applying a wear-resistant alloy casting process.

International Factoring transaction in Korea is different from that of financially advanced countries in terms of legal system and commercial and financial practices. As for the domestic factoring, Korean factors are only involved in advances often on a with recourse basis. With regard to the international factoring, Korean factors do not accommodate whole account receivables from clients (suppliers) but handle on a selective basis. Among Korean banks, KEXIM (Export and Import Bank of Korea) is sole factor for international transactions. Currently KEXIM and several foreign banks handle factoring provide factoring services with limitation to invoice discounting which is largely extended to large corporate names. Therefore this is far different from factoring in Europe and Americas designed for small exporters with non recourse advances. In respect of legal environment, receivable assignment is subject to debtor' acknowledge or approval of such assignment according to Civil Law Act. To remove the legal obstacles, Korean government have prepared new law which allows factor's own notification of assignment (and thereby reimbursement right) to debtor with some evidences.

The Incoterms(R) 2010 rules take account of the continued spread of customs-free zones, the increased use of electronic communications in business transactions, heightened concern about security in the movement of goods and changes in transport practices. And the Guide to Incoterms(R) 2010 is the authoritative companion work to Incoterms(R) 2010, the ICC rules on the use of domestic and international trade terms. The guide responds to business needs for a better understanding of these ICC rules that are used in countless commercial transactions every day. But, contrary to the previous guidebook, there is many errors and mistake in the Guide to Incoterms(R) 2010 which should be amended. The purpose of this paper is to point out the problems and amend the errors and unify the expression in guidebook.

North Korea sharing a border with China has developed economic relations with China for a long time. During the cold war(from 1950s to late 1980s), political, military and economic ties between the two countries have become stronger because they had maintained the same political and economic system. However their economic relations have significantly changed after China has adopted market economies since the late 1970s. In particular, trade volume has been shrinked significantly since the late 1990s when China began to ask hard currency payments in their commercial transactions. This paper aims to investigate the conditions and prospects of trade and logistics relations between North Korea and China including the problems existed and then make some suggestions to foster their trade relations. In conclusion in order to develop its trade relations with China, it is suggested that North Korea should make significant changes in its economic and logistics system including infrastructure, institutional schemes, social and trade practices ect. because most problems in bilateral trade have been incurred from North Korea.

A lot of efforts have been made to improve maritime safety by means of enhancing safety legislation and verifying the compliance thereof. However, with the development of mutual insurance, it is contributing more and more to better maritime safety. The P＆I clubs to be discussed in the paper are now not only exercising controls and providing guidance in event of emergencies, but also keeping close and continuous monitoring over safety operations and conditions of those vessels entered, through their world-wide network and advanced communication, and by professional accident-handling teams. In view of this, it is necessary to discuss the roles of commercial shipping and the close linkage between it and onboard safety practices. The paper looks at first basic principles in maritime insurance, and then focuses on the rules and activities of P＆I clubs and their implications upon shipboard operations.

The objectives of this study are ; 1) To analyze the time use and the invironments of rural housewives household labor according to the characteristics of agriculture. 2) To investigate the factors influencing household labor time. In this study, the rural areas are divided into two groups according to characteristics of agriculture. One is traditional agricultural area-Seokchon Dong in Youngcheon Kun, and the other is commercial agricultural area-Dongpo 1 Dong in Sungju Kun. Two areas are located in Kyungpook Province. 145 housewives dwelling in above two villiages were interviewed. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentile, T-test, x2-test, and multiple regression analysis. Results are as follows; 1) household labor time had not significant differences Hetween Youngcheon and Sungju. But agricultural labor time was longer in Sungju than in Youngcheon. 2) household labor environments in Sungju were better than those in Youngcheon. 3) household labor time was influenced by agricultural labor time and socio-cultural time.
