Underground comics is a trend of comics started by reflecting hippie culture in the 1960's. It reflects hippie culture proclaiming return to nature and denying war with no humanity and social systems of material civilization expresses anti-culture in a radical and humorous way. Robert Crumb adds the features of hippie culture to comics aggressively with issuing comic book, series. Especially received great response from hippie. It became the chance for underground comics to improve further. includes works like 'Whiteman' expressing the hidden desire of conservative middle class or 'Keep on truckin' describing youths in hippie culture as characters lording it over somebody, strutting confidently across various landscape. The Comic was published and distributed independently and character-driven comic that reflected the variety of hippie culture. The Comic represented the characteristics of the underground comics very well. Winding lines and points, a strong contrast, were used for excellent graphical effect. These comics escaped from heroic comics of the era and played great roles in opening an era of underground comics which express satires of social culture more freely.

The modern is image age, and The visually expressed symbols have much influence on individuals or enterprises and have an effect on the variety of individual and the innovation of management. Espacially, the symbols carry on the axis composing total image. According to the reason of positive & negative five elements, this paper analysised and studied the meaning of symbol design which analysis the thoughtful, abstract and formal meaning. This is the most fundmental elements and principals and means the good symbol composed harmoniously the positive & negative five elements give good image. Namely, the symbols of the Eum & Yan which applied the philosophical reason of the Orient thought became good image. The lively elements of design composed the reason of Eum & Yang have effect on auspicious and upgrade one step to the dimension of symbol design. The purpose of this paper analysises and understands the meaning of symbol was composed the positive & negative five elements. In the point of view of modern design. the overlOOking elements of the symbol(line, form, space etc) reminded and established the new model which the new idea approached by the thought of the positive & negative five elements.

Content is the complex of art and technology of trend, so it is important to experience different technologies for content education. Today, many non-profit organizations plan and operate numbers of programs for disabilities, low-income, and minority families to enhance the quality of life and the realization of social integration. These programs are limited to museums and galleries, not so pro-actively in progressing. Various contend education is necessary to the expansion of cultural exchange for the culturally alienated area. Naver is running an outreach program named . It is an experience-based outreach program where current cartoon / webtoon writers come directly to the school to inform students about the basic story of comics and comic techniques. However, the fact that the is not centered on the marginalized area but is centered on the Seoul Gyeonggi area, has the limitation that they can not benefit from a wide range of programs because they have a space limit of 'school', and, has a spatial limitation that the experience of the work is excluded. 'Outreach programs in marginalized areas' must be reorganized into a fluid dimension, not a fixed, single-system program. You should be able to experience and experience your work by directly using various professional equipment of comics based on your capacity and experience, local culture, religion, and society. These program participants will gain the effect of attractive and effective learning with empathy with their comic experience. Meanings of Comics content outreach program are following: First, the rich cultural archive can be used efficiently by providing various contents to existing outreach programs with the educational limitation of museums and galleries. Second, Comics contents can be enjoyed as a part of our life by understanding diversity and technology of contents. Third, because it is the program of expertise' participation, it can remodel, and restructure the severed experience in remote areas for the continuous growth and development, and furthermore, it can enhance the understanding of society.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics that appear when actual comedy movie is made into animation, from the singularities which arise from producing remake of existing media contents into animation. Animation and slapstick comedy movies possess a similarity in that they both evoke laughter from the viewer via exaggerated motion, expression and action. In the case of live action film, people must carry out the acting and there exists spatial limitations, whereas animation does not have such limits, which allows the comic animation to materialize spatial scene directing and acting which are different from that of live action comic films, despite the fact that they share elements of the same genre. Accordingly, this study performs comparative analysis of and which is based on the contents of the same event, from the English comedy TV program and the , the TV animation which is a remake animated version of the original series, to conduct comparative analysis the character acting and the scene directing in accordance with the live action movie and animation. The result of studying the point that makes it easy to create comic genre into animation and the advantages possessed by the media of animation, through analyzing two works that deal with the same character and the same event, were as follows. It was proven through the analysis that comedic directing with doubled composure and amusement is possible through the anticipation of exaggerated directing in the acting through expression and action, and diversity of the episodes with added imagination in the story, as well as the estrangement effect of the slapstick expression and etc.

Purpose: This study was intended to develop and evaluate the cancer prevention education for general population with different educational media such as booklets, cartoons, web frame comic strips, web flash animation and flash animations on personal digital assistants (PDA). Methods: A total of 125 subjects were divided into 5 groups, each group having 25 members and assigned a different educational media. An educational media was assigned to each group to evaluate the effect of education in the first intervention. In the second intervention, 4 other media, excluding the previously used one, were used to educate the subjects and find out the preferences of educational media. Results: Knowledge about cancer increased significantly after cancer prevention education. They preferred animations on the internet to other media, the highest. Conclusion: Educational programs with various media should be developed for subjects to choose based on their preferences.

This study examined the storytelling characteristics of the super-compressed web drama "72 seconds". By analyzing all seasonal episodes of "72 seconds" and applying the various storytelling methodologies and related theories, this paper derived the main storytelling characteristics of "72 seconds" as follows. First, through the composition of the microscopic non-plot, the story value of empathy and fun is maximized, even though there is no dramatic composition compared to the general movie or drama. Second, by the specialization of everyday life, it leads to the transition from everyday experience to the new context. In other words, it provides a consensus through the cognitive expansion and interest by unfamiliarity of the ordinary experience to the audience. Third, based on the characteristics of super-compression and short theme, it utilizes fully stylistic narration like rapping. This makes the audience feel novel and further enhances the branding effect of content. And finally, based on various hybridity and variation, it uses remediation actively in all respects, especially comedy genre and comic factor.

Extractive fermentations with the extract of Jerusalem artichoke in an aqueous-two-phase-system of polyethyleneglycol(PEG) and dextran(Dx) were investigated to obtain the effects of composition of PEG and Dx on both fermentation ,characteristics and partition ratio of alcohol. The specific growth rate of K. Fraglis CBS 1555 increased with a decrease of concentration of PEG and Dx. It augmented along with concentration of initial sugar up to 80g/l but decreased thereafter. The specific production rate of alcohol showed a rising tendency up to 100g/lof initial sugar, whereafter represented a decreasing trend. The partition ratio of alcohol between two phases augmented according to decrease of Dx comic. and increase of PEG cone. regardless of initial sugar concentrations. The ratio, however, decreased with Increment of initial sugar concentration at constant composition of PEG and Dx. The partition coefficient of alcohol had an ascending effect to the increase of PEG cone, but it had little effect on the changes of concentrations of Dx and initial sugar. The present study suggests that the optimum composition of PEG and Dx in the aqueous-two-phase-system by extractive fermentation were around 6.5%(w/v) of PEG and 3%(w/v) of Dx in considerations of emulsion state, sedimentation and separation of two phases, alcohol partition ratio, and specific growth rate.

All costumes used for dramatic effect delivers the character's individual data such as sex, age, social position, job, personality, and sense of values in the scene and leads the progress of drama as a media that describes psychological condition and image of the drama etc. symbolically. Therefore, it has a meaning of finding out the importance of film costume, recognizing the traditional culture through the expression and creativity limited to the age in expression, finding out the unique Korean beauty and succeeding it to the future generation. The film is the first costume drama in Korea, which is remake work of Lt;Les Liasions dangereuses, 1782> in the age of the King Jeongjo in Joseon Dynasty. And is comic costume drama that the story goes as a man of the noblest birth debuts as a filthy novel writer. Both films have remarkable grace, elegance and magnificence as having Joseon Dynasty on the background, and treats irregularities and dissipation hidden in the noble society that looks elegance on the surface. Writers in England's colonies and former colonies have long struggled with the advantages and disadvantages of employing the language of the colonizer for their creative work, an issue that today reaches beyond the older imperial trade routes in the era of "global English." Creative writers in widely disparate locations are now using global English to their advantage, with what can be described as post-postcolonial strategies. This essay explores the politics of global English, beginning with a satiric dictionary of "Strine" (Australian English) from 1965, and then looking back at the mid-1960s debate at Makerere University between Ngugi wa Thiong'o and Chinua Achebe, in which Achebe famously asserted the importance of remaking English for hi own purposes. The essay then discusses early linguistic experiments by Rudyard Kipling, who became the world's first truly global writer in the 1880s and 1890s and developed a range of strategies for conveying local experience to a global audience. The essay then turns to two contemporary examples: a comic pastiche of Kipling-and of Kiplingese-by the contemporary Tibetan writer Jamyang Norbu, who deploys "Babu English" and the legacy of British rule against Chinese encroachment in Tibet; and, finally, the Korean-American internet group Young-hae Chang Heavy Industries, who interweave African-American English with North Korean political rhetoric to hilariously subversive effect.

We experienced the partial Inhibition of entry of Taxoplasma gondii Into MDCK cells when the FBS was depleted from media. MDCK cells and Toxoplasma (RH strains) were co-cultured, the penetration was inhibited up to 60-80% with concentration-dependence of FBS. Inhibitory effect was clear when the conc. of FBS was over 1% (v/v) with 50% inhibition comic. of 5%. When ToxopLosma was pre-incubated with FBS and then applied to MDCK cells, there were no inhibitory effect, but when FBS was added to Toxoplasma- MDCK co-culture, the time of adding was c10cal with rapid inhibition. And when FBS was further treated with heat ($95^{\circ}C$, 10 min), the Inhibitory effect was decreased slightiy in both raw and inactivated FBS. The FBS factor(s) might participate to neutralize secreted materials which enhancing penetration or Intervene between receptor-ligand blnding at the moment of entry through sterically rather than functionally.
