The trends of recent passenger ships are becoming speedy and luxury style to enhance comfortableness in cabin. In order to meet these trend, ship designer has to improve the sound quality as well as to reduce the sound pressure level in cabins. In this paper, the trend of noise and sound quality of real high-speed coastal passenger ships are measured and analyzed, while running on their regular courses. The sound quality parameters such as loudness, roughness, fluctuation strength, and sharpness are evaluated by Zwicker loudness calculation. In addition, we try to find sensitive critical frequency band for the improving sound quality by using signal editing. Finally, the expected effective design methods are proposed to designer for the improving sound quality of passenger ships.

In an aging society, the mobility and the accessibility are considered sincerely for the elderly and the handicapped person. The slide-up seat system, which helps board and disembark a car via electric power was developed for the elderly, the handicapped and the families who accompany them. In this paper, critical factors and methods to design the mechanism and controller for safety and comfortableness are suggested. The performance of the system including linkage, electrical, and electronic parts was improved by changing the detail design and some parts after durability test for them.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate usefulness of aid table in ERCP operation. Fifteen patients (mean age: $76.0{\pm}11.4$) and Six Staffs are took part in the questionnaire survey. We evaluated usefulness of aid table as follows: comfortableness, psychological stability, satisfaction from extreme satisfaction as 1 point to extreme satisfaction as 5 point by questionnaire. In the results of comfortableness, the patients reported uncomfortable as $1.7{\pm}0.5$ point at ERCP operation without aid table but they are reported comfortable at using aid table as $4.4{\pm}0.5$ point (p-value${\leq}0.000$). In the psychological stability, the patients have satisfaction ($4.8{\pm}0.4$ point) for aid table. In the addition, the patients felt satisfaction ($4.9{\pm}0.3$ point) for aid table. These results are considered that to use of aid table will give a useful to ERCP operation.

Laboratory equipment will continue to be developed and created as long as experiments continue. Up until now, the designs have been focused on the functional role; successfully process the study purpose. However, nowadays, the requirements of providing emotional satisfaction of the design, has increased. Even so, the users are normally limited by specific groups and investments on these designs have been neglected due to small annual production by the small market. Through this study, we have conducted an emotional evaluation on Temperature and Humidity Chamber's (TH Chamber) exterior shape. First of all, we extracted emotional words and placed them in categories that represent these emotions and conducted an emotional evaluation on four typical TH chamber models. They were selected based on its door lock type and control box type. The result showed that the 'fixed type' of control box and the 'handle type' of door lock were most favorable by the users, satisfying the five representative emotions; 'Attractiveness', 'Classiness', 'Comfortableness', 'Pleasant' and 'Satisfaction in Usability'. Particularly, all 4 emotional words in the 'Satisfaction in Usability' category recorded over 3.65. This indicates that Satisfaction in Usability is relatively an important category when expressing laboratory equipment. The result of this research is expected to be used as a basic data to find a way of right approach in laboratory equipment design.

The main purpose of this study was to provide understanding of the meaning of post menopausal womens' lived body changing experience. The methodological approach was guided by Van Manen's hermeneutic phenomenological methodology : inquiring and investigating experience as it was lived rather than as conceptualized : reflecting and analyzing the essential themes which characterize the phenomenon : and describing the phenomenon through the art of writing and rewriting. Multiple strategies for data collecting were used ; in depth face-to-face interview ; analysis of womens' writings : artistic work : and analysis of examples of phenomenon in art, literature, and drama. Although the experience was different for all of the women interviewed, essential themes of experience emerged ; Drifting through the years (solitude, in the twilight of life, loneliness, change of taste, forgetfulness, the sense of missing something), A walking weather forecast, Standing on the threshold of losing ki energy, Lately taking care of my body, Seized with fear all of a sudden, Keenly feeling the preciousness of life, Preferring comfortableness to prettiness, Wanting to recall my past years, A strong impulse to rechallenge life, Becoming more fond of friends. Findings from the artistic and creative inquiry further validated the interview findings and the meaning discovered. The study illuminated meaning and simultaneously validated the phenomenological research process. Essential themes for understanding women's experience, implications for education, research, and practice, direction and need for continuing inquiry were identified.

Recently, interest that intra-abdominal pressure has been increased as change of pathophysiology to critical patients. The intra-abdominal pressure is measured by cystometry what can be available for non-inclusively. However, conventional methods have some problems such as low SNR, weakness of environment temperature, and unsuitable size of sensor. In this paper, a new subminiature pressure sensor module and sensing system are proposed using a sensor of semiconductor type and FPCB. The module is more stable, flexible, and smaller than the conventional catheter. The performance of the developed module is evaluated by various quantitative analysis indexes. The proposed sensor has the high sensitivity and suitable size for measurement of cystometry more than the conventional method. In order to prove efficiency between conventional and proposed method, proposed method compared for sensitivity, fixable, and size. The proposed method will be help measurement of intra-abdominal pressure of patients due to high accuracy and comfortableness.

Recently, in accordance with elevation of life style and economics, the public demand became increasingly concerned about drinking water quality. Without an adequate supply of safe water, healthy and comfortable life could not exist. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide the guidelines and the basic informations to enable supply of clean, tasty and healthy drinking water acceptable for various demands. We analyzed the quality of tap water, mineral water, purified tap water using home tap water purifier. And we researched on the sense of the public complaint over the tap water. We proposed several items relating to the comfortableness of water quality and the target value. Also we presented a case of water supply system for purity and the points at problem The items and target value are as follows 1. turbidity : not more than 1 degree 2. dry residue : $30~200{\;}mg/{\ell}$ 3. hardness : $10~100mg/{\ell}$ 4. free carbon dioxide : not more than $20mg/{\ell}$ 5. $KMnO_{4}$ consumption not more than $3mg/{\ell}$ 6. odor threshold not abnormal 7. residual chlorine : not more than $0.4mg/{\ell}$ 8. water temperature' not more than $20^{\circ}C$ 9. manganese : not more than $0.01mg/{\ell}$ 10. iron : not more than $0.02mg/{\ell}$ 11. aluminum : not more than $0.1mg/{\ell}$

This study is on the brassiere of reduce clothing pressure. To set the measurements of bras for women in their 20s, considering the comfortableness in wearing and tightness, this paper conducted a questionnaire survey concerning breasts and bras as well as measurements of body and contact surface pressure. As a result of comparing the discrepancies between the lower chest circumferences of the body and the bra, it was revealed that 67.0% were wearing one that was bigger than the body size. Most of them mentioned 'feeling of tightness' as a reason(60.4%), which suggests there are problems of the total length and elasticity in the process of making bras. The favorite bra types are wire type(57.9%), mold type(24.3%), and strapless type(10.4%).it is recommended that the total length of lower chest circumference be increased. The result and the recommendations of this study are as follows: First, the total length of brassiere be increased by 5cm from the current patterns in the process of manufacturing. Second, elasticity of the lower-side tapes be extended from 120% to 170%.

This study was conducted to provide some basic information for promoting efficiency in university food services. Subjects were 309 students of A, B and C university. The survey was done by questionaires, and the data were analyzed by SAS program. The quantity and nutritional values of food was evaluated as appropriate but temperature and freshness of food, use of seasonal food, variety of menu were indicated as unsatisfactory. Male students marked lower points on the price but female students gave lower scores for variety of menu and use of seasonl food. Employee hygiene fast service and neatness and kindness of workers were evaluated as appropriate but food sanitation and cleanness of dishes were indicated as unsatisfactory. A and B university students scored low marks on food sanitation. Female students scored higher marks on the employee's neatness. Arrangement of tables and chairs, location of returning utensils, location of counter use of menu board and ventilation facilities were scored as average but interior decoration and heating facilities were scored as low level. Students of a school scored low mark on the arrangement of tables, location of counter, heating facilities and interior decoration but students of B school scored low mark on the use of menu board. Calmness and comfortableness of dining hall was unsatisfactory but location of dining hall, serving time and waiting time were evaluated as appropriate. In conclusion improvements for temperature and freshness of food, use of seasonal food, variety of menu, food sanitation, cleanness of dishes, interior decoration, heating facility and resting area were indicated as necessary.

This paper presents the sound-based emotion estimation method and the growing HRI (human-robot interaction) system for a Mon-E robot. The method of emotion estimation uses the musical element based on the law of harmony and counterpoint. The emotion is estimated from sound using the information of musical elements which include chord, tempo, volume, harmonic and compass. In this paper, the estimated emotions display the standard 12 emotions including Eckman's 6 emotions (anger, disgust, fear, happiness, sadness, surprise) and the opposite 6 emotions (calmness, love, confidence, unhappiness, gladness, comfortableness) of those. The growing HRI system analyzes sensing information, estimated emotion and service log in an edutainment robot. So, it commands the behavior of the robot. The growing HRI system consists of the emotion client and the emotion server. The emotion client estimates the emotion from sound. This client not only transmits the estimated emotion and sensing information to the emotion server but also delivers response coming from the emotion server to the main program of the robot. The emotion server not only updates the rule table of HRI using information transmitted from the emotion client and but also transmits the response of the HRI to the emotion client. The proposed system was applied to a Mon-E robot and can supply friendly HRI service to users.
