This research is an experiment to examine on the realization of Natural Color using R, G, B LEDs and this experiment was performed to cover two different stages. 1) When Natural Color using R, G, B LEDs was realized without correction in first stage, all color(R, G, B, C, M, Y) series had highly range of error from 0.0200 to 0.1500. 2) When R, G, B of LEDs was mixed at the ratio of 1:4.5907:0.0601 for realization of white in second stage, white was not realized to excitation purity. The second stage was Performed based on the three primary colors theory found out by Thomas Young in England and Hermann Ludwig Ferdinand von Helmholtz in Germany.
We realize a color reflective display without any color filter and sub-pixelation concept, by which the full or single color realization is basically impossible. In this study, we use a 3-electrode on the lower substrate with indium tin oxide (ITO) glass. The width of a rib is $30{\mu}m$, a cell size is $150{\mu}m{\times}150{\mu}m$, and the space of lower electrodes is $10{\mu}m$. To get the single color, we drive this panel by a identical algorithm based on the movement of charged particle in color fluid within a cell with hermetic seal. According to the driving method, the lifetime of panel is different.
We propose a three-electrode type electronic paper display and its fabrication process to realize single color at the same display panel. We establish a fabrication process with the mixing of electronic ink, loading of this ink, electronic ink assembly, packaging and driving. Also, we discuss an operating principle of this panel and the induced image reversal phenomenon by electric field area of the lower electrodes. This phenomenon is not occurred for the panel having $10{\mu}m$ electrode space. By this pixelation structure like this three-electronic paper display, a single color realization without color filter is possible and various kind of color is defined by a dye selection for charged particles and electrically neutral fluid.
We propose a fabrication process of a 3-electrode type reflective display and ascertain the realized color panel. The first design is proceeded with basis on Ti electrode for fast panel fabrication, easy align process, and high reflection of a white image. To observe the particle movement at the lower electrodes and optimize the space between electrodes, we design the second patterns, from which we establish a fabrication process with the mixing of electronic ink, loading of this ink, electronic ink assembly, driving, and packaging. After aging process, we ascertain a normally driving panel with black, white, and blue color.
A three-electrode type reflective display (electronic paper) is designed to apply an independent electric field to each three electrodes of the cell including two electric-type of particles and electrically neutral color fluid, so single color realization is possible. In particular, the movement of particles and optical properties are decided by the electric field between two electrodes on the lower substrate. So, the effect of electric field by the distance between two electrodes on the lower substrate is studied with electrode spacing with $10{\mu}m$, $15{\mu}m$, $20{\mu}m$, and $25{\mu}m$. By our experimentation, the driving voltage induces more reliable movement of charged particles and the optical properties as compared with the threshold voltage. We ascertain the single color realization and non-inverted particle separation is possible. So the more desirable optical properties are observed in case of the short electrode like $10{\mu}m$.
The purpose of this study is the realization of LED light environment closely resembling the Autumn daylight which people feel comfortable with. This research was conducted through an optical experiment and Emotional evaluation through human's eyes. Human beings are affected by the color of light, quality and light intensity. Unlike the past when human beings have worked mainly in daylight, the urbanites today spend most of the time in indoor spaces. Therefore, the artificial light is needed to strive toward a spectrum of daylight. This study is purposed to provide the pleasant light environment for human beings and build its database. This study course is expected to contribute to the new design methodology of the related fields under the development of the LED emotional lighting color.
As various materials and new methods can be used due to developments in science and expansion of thinking, modern architectural color composes extensive possibilities exceeding its physical role of the past. In particular, rather than the initial external expression, the secondary connotative interpretation is more important in interpreting architectural color. This is because color interpretation changes the meaning of space based on light. Also, the development of digital technology has shifted the use of architectural color from passive realization to a more proactive concept and value. In other words, such shift leads to a new discussion on architectural color such as non-representation, invisibility, and non-physicality as the concept of fixed time, space and movement has been weakened. This paper begins by conceptualizing the digital space, a term widely used to interpret the architectural color of digital space. And it will be categorized as non-representational architectural color, invisible architectural color, and non-physical architectural color, by combining the characteristics of digital space with the modern architecture's color examples. Digital space overcoming the space time is differently interpreted from the past color expression. Modern architecture's color which substitutes the passive view with active body takes a role delivering various axes of discussions with synaesthesia.
This paper describes the realization of the full-color to the degree of nearest white light by compounding high brightness Red, Green and Blue LEDs with appropriate proportional index. Once these three colors; red, green and blue are mixed, they are genearlly additive mixing and produce white light color contrasted to negative mixing. The luminous efficiency is defined as the product of the efficiency(lm/w), which indicates the degree of perceptual response by the human eye to unit energy(W) of light emitted by an active display devises and as the conversion efficiency of the device from electric power consumed to optical energy produced. We will deduce the each number of LEDs theoretically and design several shapes of LED displays for the full-color. Finally theoretical predictions will be compared with the measured data with different type of display designs.
As an essential factor of plasticity in fashion, color reflects socio-cultural trends and has possessed different symbolism in its historical development. This study aims to search for an academic approach towards finding out how the concepts and symbolism of the color white were expressed in actual clothing. This will be realized through the investigation of the various meanings this particular color possesses. The secondary purpose of this study is to give shape to the results of above said academic investigation by proposing their integration into actual fashion design. The methodology employed in this study and results are as follows. First, the symbolism of the color white abstracted from the research of literature on this subject was classified into six categories; purity, grace, abstinence, sublimity, decorativeness, and avant-garde. Second, for empirical research, six designs were developed and produced into white dresses. The development of these dress designs was realized by presenting the symbolism of the aforementioned six categories into images, and the formative constructions of these images by applying various design details, expressive techniques, and characteristics of the materials. Through an investigation into the color white, which has been excluded from previous chromatics research as a major color, integration of the symbolism and chromatic image of this color into the actual fashion design process is made possible. The significance of this study is in that it proposes multifarious possibilities in fashion design, and also in extending the horizon of chromatics research in fashion through the realization of the above process.
