The progression of curing of dementia is associated with a gradual decline in functional, cognitive, emotional and social abilities. Patients with dementia currently cause many social problems, which will become more serious in the near future. It is considered that patients with dementia are so much influenced by the quality of physical ward environment ; so we need to improve environment of dementia ward dept. Factors of physical environment which effect patients with dement1a can be classifided both into 'Interier design' ; material, color, lighting, equipment and auxiliary design and into 'Sense of sight & hearing' ; illumination, ornament & indication, noise, and fancy.

In this paper, a new intelligent moving target tracking and surveillance system basing on the pan/tilt-embedded stereo camera system is suggested and implemented. In the proposed system, once the face area of a target is detected from the input stereo image by using a YCbCr color model and then, using this data as well as the geometric information of the tracking system, the distance and 3D information of the target are effectively extracted in real-time.

Melanin is a black pigment, responsible for hair and skin color. In order to find the melanin stimulatory technique which prove useful for a gray and a white hair-preventive agent or tanning agent, we developed atmospheric pressure plasma jet (APPJ) and tested for tyrosinase activity and melanin production in melanoma (B16F10) cells in vitro. We found plasma dose dependent increase in melanin production. To explore the contributing mechanism in melanin synthesis, intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) and MAP kinase signaling pathways were studied. Furthermore, the development of plasma technology for melanin synthesis and planning for in-vivo future studies will be discussed.

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the relationship among image, customer satisfaction and loyalty of fashion Extension brands. It is expected that this study will provide guidance to fashion companies that are planning to expand their brand in setting up marketing strategies and service strategies. The results of the study are the following. First, women consumers in their 20s had an perception that second brands provided diverse and unique products at cheap prices. However, after purchasing the products, they recognized that the second companies' service level was not so satisfying. Second, consumers were satisfied with the brand awareness, reputation, image, design, color, and packing conditions of the second brands while being not satisfied with the pricing. Third, when the study examined brand loyalty of second brands, consumers have shown high loyalty to the four subsidiary brands. Fourth, the satisfaction level for the four second brands had a significant effect on the brand loyalty for each second brands.

Ocean Scanning Multispectral Imager (OSMI) is a payload on the Korean Multi-purpose SATellite (KOMPSAT) to perform worldwide ocean color monitoring for the study of biological oceanography KOMPSAT will be launched in the middle of November this year. The radiometric performance of OSMI is analyzed for various gain settings in the viewpoint of the instrument developer for OSMI calibration and application based on its ground performance measurement data for 8 primary spectral bands of OSMI. The radiometric response linearity and dynamic range are analyzed for the image radiometric calibration and the estimation of OSMI image quality for the ocean remote sensing area. The dynamic range is compared with the nominal input radiance for the ocean and the land. The noise equivalent radiance (NER) corresponding to the instrument radiometric noise is compared with the radiometric resolution of signal digitization (1-count equivalent radiance). The best gain setting of OSMI for ocean monitoring is recommended. This analysis is considered to be useful for the OSMI mission and operation planning, the OSMI image data calibration, and users' understanding about OSMI image quality.

The aim of this study is to extract the design vocabulary of flexibility from analyzing Steven Holl' architectural works. For this purpose, the four works were selected and the design elements like their concepts, elevations, plans, furnitures, lights, materials, and colors were analyzed. The results of this study are as follows ; First, flexible design method is shown in adaptable space planning by using system of hinged panel and multi-functional furniture of various form. Second, Windows were made a plan of the geometric partition of surface and with clear materials for expanding space to outside. Third, the changing of level and the using of the phenomenological elements like a light color, water, and materials were applied for enhancing the image of the flexible space.

Diagnosis of maxillofacial lesions is very difficult. Recent developments in computed tomography enable the production of three dimnesional images of complex anatomical structures from a series of conventional computed tomographic sections. Methods of three-dimensional analysis of computed tomographic images have recently been described. Mostly, reports have concentrated on applications relative to congenital deformities. In this report, one method of three dimensional reformatting is reviwes. Images formed by this method have solid surface appearance and can be color enhanced and manipulated to isolate anatomic structures of interest. The program allows tissue densitis, volumes, and distances. This report emphasizes maxillofacial applications other than those previously reported in the surgical and radiological literature.

This research deals with the residential environment for the elderly and describes characteristics to give a positive effect on elderly's health and quality of life in Sweden. Five elderly care home recommended by a municipality staff in Stockholm are surveyed on $01\~03$ October 2003. The results of this study are as follows: 1) homelike atmosphere is regarded as a basic design concept and is applied to size, materials, scale, color, and furniture of elderly housing in Sweden, 2) regarding of the exterior features, it is similar to the ordinary house rather than institution building, 3) arrangement of spaces is planned for several small groups consisting of 6-8 residents, 4) open-space planning on public kitchen and dinning room allows residents to feel comfortable when they can hear a sound and smell a meal, 5) private flat is to provide amenities for sleeping, rest, storage, social interaction, meals, hygiene and other every activities

The purpose of this research is to get basic data for R&D to activate and popularize the Practical Korean Costume. This research was carried out by theoretical study with literature and practical study with development of model based on the result of questionnaire. 1. In theoretical study the concept of 'Korean-image' of modern costume as well as 'Modernization' of Korean traditional costume has been suggested and 'traditional beauty of costume' which can be evaluated generally was considered. 2. In practical study the results of the questionnaire showed the objective numerical value of the element of Korean design which is firmly recognized by korean people. With the results the methods of development and composition of design have been suggested in the harmony of 'traditional' and 'modern' through the modernization in terms of form composition fabric color. It is expected that development direction of Practical Korean Costume which can be settled in everyday life with more independent cultural identity should be suggested. Additionally the research results will be useful for merchandise planning of costume industry.

As a multi-mission GEO satellite, Communication, Ocean, and Meteorological Satellite (COMS) is scheduled to be launched in the year 2009. COMS has three different payloads: Ka-band communication payload, Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI) and Meteorological Imager (MI). Among the three payloads, MI and GOCI have several conflict relationships; one of them is that if MI mirror moves vertically larger than 4 Line Of Sight (LOS) angle while GOCI is imaging, image quality of GOCI becomes degraded. In this paper, MI scheduling algorithm to prevent GOCI's image quality degradation will be presented.
