적응적 얼굴검출 및 얼굴 특징자 평가함수를 사용한 실시간 얼굴인식 알고리즘 (Adaptive Face Region Detection and Real-Time Face Identification Algorithm Based on Face Feature Evaluation Function)

  • 본 논문에서는 적응적 얼굴영역 검출과 얼굴 특징자 평가함수를 사용한 실시간 얼굴인식 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안한 알고리즘은 명암도 정보와 타원마스킹 기법뿐만 아니라 인종별 얼굴피부색을 사용하여 정확한 얼굴영역을 적응적으로 검출 가능하다. 또한 제안한 알고리즘은 얼굴 특징자 및 얼굴특징자간 기하학적 평가함수를 사용하여 얼굴 인식 효율을 개선하였다. 제안한 알고리즘은 생체인증 및 보안 시스템 분야에 사용 가능하다. 실험에서는 제안한 방법의 우수성을 입증하기 위해 실 영상을 사용하였으며 실험 결과 기존의 방법보다 얼굴 영역 검출뿐만 아니라 얼굴인식 성능을 개선하였다.

자연치와 도재관에 대한 색조선택의 동일성 (Shade Matching Identification of in Vivo Natural Teeth and Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal Crowns)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate shade selection using conventional visual assessment in vivo natural teeth and porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) crown. Maxillary central incisors, lateral incisors and canines of one hundred twenty four college women were used as vivo natural teeth. Fifty one PFM crown for maxillary central incisor fabricated by dental laboratory were used as experimental materials. Using Vitapan Classical Shade Guides, shade selection of natural teeth was measured by each college woman and shade selection of PFM crown was measured by three ceramists with more than ten years career. Both natural teeth and PFM crown shade selection were measured through Shade Eye-Ex. From the shade selection comparing, following results were obtained. The results were as follows: 1. The shade matching identification of natural teeth between the shade selection using Vitapan Classical Shade Guides and the shade selection using Shade Eye-Ex was 27.4% in maxillary central incisor, 13.7% in lateral incisor and 18.5% in canine. 2. Among the shade selection of PFM crown by three ceramists, the shade evaluation of three ceramists were same only in ten cases. In twenty case, those of two ceramists were same. 3. The shade matching identification of PFM crown between the shade selection using Vitapan Classical Shade Guides and the shade selection using Shade Eye-Ex was 38.6% in average. These results suggest that the shade selection using conventional visual assessment should be dealt with care in clinic and need a credible method for shade matching color.

모션 식별 룰을 이용한 컴퓨터의 프레젠테이션 제어 (Presentation control of the computer using the motion identification rules)

  • 손동작 식별 룰을 통한 컴퓨터의 프레젠테이션 제어 시스템을 제안한다. 발표자의 손 동작 식별을 위해 (일반적인 웹캠을 사용하여) 이미지를 입력받아 하르 분류기를 이용하여 사용자의 얼굴영역을 추출한다. YCbCr 컬러모델을 이용하여 손 영역을 추출한 후에 사용자의 얼굴과 손의 무게중심을 이용하여 손의 현재 움직임 상태와 위치를 판별 하였다. 사용자의 손이 모션 감지 룰에 적용되어 프레젠테이션 제어 명령이 실행된다. 제안하는 시스템은 모션 식별 룰을 이용하여 부가적인 기기를 사용하지 않고 배경의 복잡도에 독립적인 프레젠테이션을 제어가 가능한 시스템이다. 실험은 어두운 실내 분위기인 조도범위(lx) 15-20-30에서 프레젠테이션 실험을 통해 안정적인 제어동작을 확인하였다.

  • 최근 국내에서도 유수 기업체들이 앞다투어 CI를 도입함으로써 일종의 붐을 불러일으키고 있다. 이 같은 CI 붐은 디자인을 통한 기업이미지 관리의 중요성에 대한 인식이 증대되고 있음을 반영하는 것이다. 본 연구는 CI 기본 시스템에서 가장 중요한 비중을 차지하는 기본시스템의 구축 프로세스를 체계화하는 것을 목적으로 진행되었다. 기본 시스템 구축의 기본요소인 심볼, 로고타입, 코오포레이트 칼라 등의 선정 프로세스 및 평가기준을 합리적으로 체계화하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 문헌연구와 현장조사를 토대로 CI를 통한 기업이미지 관리의 본질 및 기본시스템 구축 프로세스 정립이 필요성을 고찰하였다. 이어 기본시스템 구축 프로세스를 정립하고 각 단계별 세부 활동내용 및 관리지침을 제시하였다. 또한 기업활동의 목적이나 기본 이미지 전략, CI 도입유형에 따라 그에 부합하는 기본요소 선정절차 및 평가기준도 마련되었다.

Allosteric Probe-Based Colorimetric Assay for Direct Identification and Sensitive Analysis of Methicillin Resistance of Staphylococcus aureus

  • The accurate and rapid detection of methicillin-resistance of Staphylococcus aureus (SA) holds significant clinical importance. However, the methicillin-resistance detection strategies commonly require complicated cell lysis and gene extraction. Herein, we devised a novel colorimetric approach for the sensitive and accurate identification of methicillin-resistance of SA by combining allosteric probe-based target recognition with self-primer elongation-based target recycling. The PBP2a aptamer in the allosteric probe successfully identified the target MRSA, leading to the initiation of self-primer elongation based-cascade signal amplification. The peroxidase-like hemin/G-quadruplex undergo an isothermal autonomous process that effectively catalyzes the oxidation of ABTS2- and produces a distinct blue color, enabling the visual identification of MRSA at low concentrations. The method offers a shorter duration for bacteria cultivation compared to traditional susceptibility testing methods, as well as simplified manual procedures for gene analysis. The overall amplification time for this test is 60 min, and it has a detection limit of 3 CFU/ml. In addition, the approach has exceptional selectivity and reproducibility, demonstrating commendable performance when tested with real samples. Due to its advantages, this colorimetric assay exhibits considerable potential for integration into a sensor kit, thereby offering a viable and convenient alternative for the prompt and on-site detection of MRSA in patients with skin and soft tissue infections.

컴퓨터 시각 인식 기법을 이용한 영상 중첩법에 의한 개인식별 (Image Superimposition for the Individual Identification Using Computer Vision System)

  • In this thesis, a new superimposition scheme using a computer vision system was proposed with 7 pairs of skull and ante-mortem photographs, which were already identified through other tests and DNA fingerprints at the Korea National Institute of Scientific Investigation. At this computer vision system, an unidentified skull was caught by video-camcoder with the MPEG and a ante-mortem photograph was scanned by scanner. These two images were processed and superimposed using pixel processing. Recognition of the individual identification by anatomical references was performed on the two superimposed images. These results were as followings. 1. For the enhancement of skull and ante-mortem photographs, various image processing schemes, such as SMOOTH, SHARPEN, EMBOSS, MOSAIC, ENGRAVE, INVERT, NEON and COLOR TO MONO, were applied using 3*5 window processing. As an image processing result of these methods, the optimal techniques were NEON, INVERT and ENGRAVE for the edge detection of skull and ante-mortem photograph. 2. Using various superimposition image processing techniques (SRCOR, SRCAND, SRCINVERT, SRCERASE, DSTINVERT, MERGEPAINT) were compared for the enhancement of image recognition. 3. By means of the video camera, the skull image was inputed directly to a computer system : superimposing it on the ante-mortem photograph made the identification more precise and time-saving. As mentioned above, this image processing techniques for the superimposition of skull and ante-mortem photographs simply used the previous approach, In other wrods, taking skull photographs and developing it to the same size as the ante-mortem photographs. This system using various image processing techniques on computer screen, a more precise and time-saving superimposition technique could be able to be applied in the area of individual identification in forensic practice.

군복의 색깔을 이용한 피아식별 기법 (IFF Technique using the Color of Military Uniform)

  • 본 논문에서는 차세대 무인 군사 로봇에 활용할 수 있는 적군 및 아군 식별 수단으로 군복의 색깔을 이용한 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법은 전장지역의 군사로봇이 할 수 있는 피아식별법 중에 하나로 로봇에 부착되어 있는 카메라 외에 추가적으로 가져야 하는 장비가 필요 없기 때문에 추가비용 없이 효과적으로 적군을 포착할 수 있다. 군복의 색깔 차이를 식별하기 위해서는 먼저 HOG(Histogram of Oriented Gradients) 기법을 이용하여 사람을 검출한 다음, 이후 검출된 사람영역에 대하여 인체 비율을 고려해서 추출한 상의 부분의 색깔 데이터를 받는다. 이때 색공간은 HSV 공간으로 하여 조명의 변화에 덜 민감하도록 하였다. 북한 군복 색깔 영역의 pixel들만 추출하여 이진화를 한 후, 상의 전체 픽셀에 대한 개수 비율을 계산한다. 비율이 임계값 보다 높을 경우 적으로 인식한다.

A Report on Five New Records of Nudibranch Molluscs from Korea

  • The Korean nudibranch faunal study has been conducted since 2011 and five species including Dermatobranchus otome Baba, 1992, Mexichromis festiva (Angas, 1864), Noumea nivalis Baba, 1937, Hoplodoris armata (Baba, 1993), and Okenia hiroi (Baba, 1938) were newly reported with re-descriptions and figures. Also, Noumea purpurea Baba, 1949 was re-described with illustrations because previous records for this species were given without a description. Two congeneric species in the genus Noumea could be distinguished by ground color, dorsal markings, color of the mantle edge and gills, and mantle and dorsal marking. In addition, mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) sequences of five species were provided for further molecular identification study. Consequently, a total of 43 species have been reported for the Korean nudibranch fauna.

  • Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) with the DNA probe for human chromosome 4 was used to analyse in vitro radiation induced chromosome rearrangement in peripheral lymphocyte. Translocations, dicentrics, acentrics and color junctions involving the painted chromosome were scored according to the Protocol for Aberration Identification and Nomenclature Terminology (PAINT) system. The frequency of chromosome rearrangements including reciprocal translocation, dicentric, acentric fragment and color junction increased with radiation dose. The frequency of dicentric chromosome reduced by the fixation time following irradiation, whereas that of translocation was relatively persistent. The applicability of FISH for scoring stable translocation for biological dosimetry was demonstrated.

CRT 방식 생산공정 제어용 계장시스템 설비의 인간공학적 고찰 (Ergonomic Considerations for the Design of a CRT-based Process Control System)

  • With a general trend toward larger and more complex systems with centralized control, an operator's role of supervisory decision making in the control room becomes more important. Identification of potential man-machine interface (MMI) problems with CRT-based process control systems was attempted using a structured questionnaire survey. Based on the survey results, a laboratory experiment was carried out to investigate the performance of alarm detection on a process control CRT display. The user performance was measured in terms of reaction time from the onset of an alarm sound until the completion of predefined response procedures. The results revealed that for a highly complex tasks, mean reaction time ($\bar{RT}$) with a color consistent display was 10.5% faster than that with the original display, and $\bar{RT}$ with a grouped display was reduced by 8.2% in comparison with the color consistent display.
