This study examined that the black dress is the one of having aesthetic value as well as symbolism while delivering specific image, from the perspective of color, which is essential element in forming design of the Stage Costume. This study carried out the theoretical research of centering on the literature consideration and the empirical research of centering on a case side by side. It analyzed the works and design based on the clothing, which had been performed in Korea with a revival version of Musical 'Chicago'. Aesthetic characteristics in more than two are being shown in one dress. If so, the following are the results that considered on aesthetics characteristics in black, which were shown in Stage Costume of Musical 'Chicago', which is increasing the theme consciousness through Stage Costume, which is simple and sexy black. First, as emotion of coming to stay in agony and sadness on the basic fact called death, the Stage Costume in black led to being shown sorrow of implying death, fear and murder. Second, the dignity, which corresponds to noble beauty in the aesthetic category, expresses dignity and elegance with flat material in black, and is revealed the aspect of expressing fashion, which emphasized spirit rather than body. Third, as the aesthetic characteristic of causing sexual desire, the sensuality was shown, which has the aspect of being expressed through exposure, concealment and emphasis. Fourth, it was expressed with androgyny, which evokes androgynous image. Fifth, black in Musical 'Chicago' formed the whole mood with a sense of weight by arranging the whole feeling with color in similar tone, thereby having been indicated the harmony of being formed with theme, which is aimed to be indicated in drama.

This study attempts to examine the recent trend of 'Maison & Objet' exhibition which shows everything that forms a space, and seek cases where such 'green amenity' is applied. In terms of morphology, a minimal space was filled with a curved shape, and gradually a design that reproduces nature was produced. As the maximalism gradually emerged, decorative elements were added to the design, and a lot of craft products appeared. In terms of materials, the emotion of naturalism was the most common, and natural wood materials were mainly used. These materials combine with various heterogeneous materials to complete a new design, and natural elements were shaped in space. In terms of colors, the theme in 2016 was 'Wild', and it was possible to see a space where wild nature can be experienced. It showed various colors of nature centered on brown and green of trees. 'Silence' in 2017 is distinguished and characterized by its pink color. Also, pieces of warm reddish brown furniture were made. In the past, brass or rose gold would be trendy, but in 2017, gold or silver colors showed a greater popularity. In 2018, 'Show Room' was the theme, and the representative color was green, which affected new designs with yellow and pink.

The aim of this study is to review the creative fashion installation of Henrik Vibskov, Danish designer. Its intention is to contribute useful information for more innovative fashion presentation. As a research method, document and case study were performed and his collections from 2004 F/W to 2016 S/S were analyzed. In fashion installation, the designer puts objects in meaningful spaces in order to convey a certain message, to make an integrated artwork, and to interact with spectator. It has been used in fashion exhibitions, as well as in the set design of fashion performance and fashion show. The results were as follows. Henrik Vibskov's fashion installation has three features, which are 1)conceptual theme approach that communicates a twisted and metaphoric message, with a poetic and interesting show title, 2) surrealistic scenography that plays with fragmentation of the human body, clustering of plastic and symbolic objects, innovative color transformations, and visual trickery between figures and the background, and 3) setting for multisensory performance that makes spectators interact by making artistic objects and surroundings, which stimulates the five senses. Henrik Vibskov's fashion installation can exist as an independent artwork, and not just as a supporting piece for a fashion show. It has both artistic and fashionable values, and can be an effective fashion presentation communicating his conceptual fashion themes.

The purpose of this study was illumination of the stage costume by applying the study of a subject of human expression, which establishes identity of dramatic characters. This study was conducted by referring a variety of theses, an extensive national and international literature. The color symbolism that is depicted in Shakespeare‘s work manifests the transition period of old days, which was influenced by the Renaissance and the Religious Reformation. And color preferences and the meanings I attach to them in his play, definitely reveal the Middle Ages Christian way of thinking which was obsessively dominated their mind. I also determine that the color preferences and use in Elizabeth Era also distinctively separate the social status, which were also influenced by its social conditions. Besides this, colors that were depicted in Shakespeare's work also shown many similarities from Italian Commedia dell‘arte, which were in vogue all over the Europe. Customary color symbolisms which from natural color experiences were also applied in "The Tempest". "The Tempest" was presented on the first day of November in 1611 for the first time. Following this, many plays and films have been produced in foreign countries and Korea. With an analysis of "The Tempest", costume designs for Miranda and Ferdinanad were illustrated at the end. The costumes for Miranda and Ferdinand were mainly considered to express pure love and vigorous youth of two lovers, symbolizing the image of the theme love, forgiveness, and reconciliation.

In making gardens, garden designers establish a principle using specific colors, collect materials, and combine them with their own aesthetic senses. This study is design mothed through the species and characteristics of flowering plants used in the Barrington court created by Gertrude Jekyll and Sissinghurst's white garden created by Vita Sackville-West, both of which are the most renowned gardens that used the white color. The analysis of each individual plant used in the gardens will be based on the season, colors, shapes, plant heights and aromaticity. Through their gardens, how the flowering plants aesthetically united with each other in creating the white gardens will be reviewed. To represent the freshness of spring, Jekyll planted Campanula spp. and Lilium spp. in the garden. Vita Sackvill-West aims at the moonlight in a summer night and features Delphinium spp., Rosa mulliganii, and R. longicuspis. The color of the flowers is in white, varying from pure white, ivory and silver. To prevent monotony due to monocolor flowers, the forms of the flowers are intense. To make white flowers look better, the colors of leaves include light green, light gray and bright and greenish yellow. Overall, cool colors are used to give a mystique, coolness, cleanness and to produce an fascinating and plaintive atmosphere, getting joined with white flowers and reflected light in the night. The White Garden has made significance in the history of landscape architecture: it was the starting point of garden design through theme colors, based on the idea and technology of planting design methods that discover the potential of colors and withdraw limits. And it also made a significant contribution to the advancement of garden art with combinations by aesthetic principles.

By understanding physiological characters of plants and the environment, plant design should decide the relationship with other plants from the designer's curiosity of the plant's color, texture, form and other aspects. There are a traditional tendency that many designers put the plant's color ahead of other aspects. This study explores 4 gardens of Gertrude Jekyll's Munstead Wood, Vita Sackvill-West's Sissinghurst, Christopher Lloyd's Grest Dixter and Lawrence Johnston's Hidcote Manner. The flower border of Munstead is started with light grey and blue at the edge and it gets stronger colors like red and orange as the line comes to the middle. It is noticeable that white an blue colors were used unlike before. Sissinghurst made use of purple color which was very seldom used before and Dixter added orange to magenta color that was already there, giving a strong visual effect and through juxtaposition it could realize the wanted effect. A strong red border line was created in Hidcote Manner. Above mentioned designers arranged various colors so that visitors can experience different spacial senses according to observer's direction. In the cognitive space the main color and the secondary color arranged leading to the fact that the observer recognizes it as a whole. In plant design time means seasonal performance which influences the main color arrangement like gradation or contrast. Moreover, space determines the color's zone when it comes to plant design.

Children's Picture Book is the literature with which children face for the first time as a form of close harmony between text and picture. The picture book shows what is happening and also what may happen mn the children's surroundings and takes great Influence on their creativity, thinking ability, emotion, and Intellectual ability by delivering affluent story through the pictures. The color expressed in the children's picture book is as much important as other formative elements such as shape and texture, and the expression of color on the basis of color emotion is much more Important In that It appeals to the children's feeling. The color which is expressed through the illustration of children's picture book conveys distinctly the motion and feeling of characters who are expressed un the picture book as well as distinction of theme and background and expresses persuasively the whole process of plot and atmosphere so that it might convey various emotions such as delight, sorrow, pleasure, wonder, and fear to children. This thesis alms at analyzing various effects of color contrast, process of color, hue variation, and use of color according to the atmosphere of each cut and the process of plot by selecting the children's picture books which were published abroad and home on the basis of color concept, emotion, and image association which children feel In order to Investigate and analyze the symbolism of color and emotional effect expressed through the illustration of children's picture book, and presenting a direction of color use to produce high-level children's picture book with illustrators individuality and artistry.

This study was performed to determine what the plant material were selected to reflect in the 2016 Korea Garden Show designer's garden. It was analyzed that plant material was used to display the theme of the garden and to create a specific space. Under the given theme of 'K-Garden, Shinhallyu Garden(new style garden culture) with the most Korean taste', the plants were used to highlight the theme in two types: 'representation' and 'expression'. There were two 'representation' gardens that imitate a particular space of Korean taste and four 'expression' gardens that showcase the designer's thoughts with abstract concepts and concrete objects. Three gardens included both types of garden. The way of revealing the subject with plants was used more for 'expression' than for 'representation'. There were eleven spaces for 'representation' of the Korean taste, a vegetable garden, faucet, pond, field, nature, a Hanok court garden, groves of bamboo, tile roof, stone wall, rock and backyard of a Hanok connected to the mountain. The planting material was used in two ways: reflecting only the ecological characteristics of the plant, and considering the ecological and visual characteristics together. Vegetation plantings reflecting the ecological characteristics were observed in all eleven spaces. Nine of the spaces reflected the growth environment of the plants, but the other two did not reflect the ecological characteristics of the plants, unlike the designer's intention. In the case of the four spaces that considered the ecological and visual characteristics together, color and size were considered visual characteristics. The plants in the seven spaces that included 'expression' as the theme were selected to reflect the visual characteristics in the order of color, shape, texture, and size, rather than reflecting ecological characteristics. A group planting method was applied. When the plants were used as materials for creating space, Norman(1989) analyzed three enclosure factors(overhead, vertical, ground plane). Only two deciduous trees were used in the overhead plane while five species of evergreen shrubs and thirty species of various deciduous plants were used in the vertical plane. There were forty-five species (nine trees and thirty-six herbaceous plants) forming the ground plane, and various herbaceous plants were utilized without duplication in each garden. The designer's garden of the Garden Show played a role in introducing new groundcover plants to the public. Three of the nine gardens did not include ornamental plants, and the use of decorative plants in other gardens was few compared to the number of plantings. In the Korea Garden Show designer's garden, most of the plants were being used with the intention of exposing the theme or architectural uses. In the 2016 Korea Garden Show designer's garden, many species of plants were used as materials for showcasing themes rather than for creating spaces. Also, the method of 'expression' was used more than the method of 'representation' in order to highlight the theme. This indicates that the planting materials reflect visual characteristics such as color, shape, texture, size rather than ecological characteristics.

In film, color is a tool for storytelling and a metaphor for a story's theme. This study constructs efficient and objective data by analyzing color images of movies delivered to the audience. This Research the visual perception process of color in films and studies the processes accepted by the audience. Through this research process, we examine the emotional response caused by the visual stimulus of film color and quantify the visual factor through color in the film as a factor that effectively induces the emotional response of viewers who watch the movie. This study analyzes the mise-en-scene of Wes Anderson's film, Royal Tenenbaum, and studies the role of communication in cinematic colors. Quantitative analysis of color distribution data is performed using computer color analysis program on the colors displayed through 10 chapters of mise en scene. Through color analysis, it was analyzed that Anderson composed the movie scenes in red and yellow red (YR) with low saturation and medium brightness. Through this analysis, we study how color is used throughout the film and how the quantitative form of its use is to be used as the psychological factor controlling audience's emotion.

The research, aiming an automatic pattern design of Korean Costume by utilizing CAD system, tried Grading, Seaming and Marking with a theme of girl's color-strip blouse & skirt. The content & conclusion of the research can be outlined as follows; 1) As we reviewed the current situation of Korean costume which becomes more likely celebrational or festival costume, while the demand of it is getting increase, it's being dealt mostly as ready-made dresses with different qualities & designs. Especially childrens ready-made ones were highly demanded to be picked up as the theme. 2) For the original drawing of children's color-strip blouse & skirt, Kyung-Ja Park's drawing method was used here, and for the substitute of particular body parts absolute size, Joo-Won Lee's standard size chart from a size-study by ages. 3) To work with CAD system we had input master pattern, drawn for age 5 as basic size, then graded six step-sizes for 1-11 years old. For add-subtract of particular body parts size, we graded through computing the standard variation among items to get the pattern developed into ready-made standard size, we can make precise plotting by grading wanted size very rapidly if we correct the rule of changed items different from standard size to make utilization possible enough with easy order method of ready-made Korean Dress. 4) We produced Marker after attaching a margin to seam accordingly by parts for each pattern using P/D/S to mark, In mass gament-cutting, the loss of time and material can minimized. In this research the apparel CAD system which has been utilized and only be western fashion industry was introduced for the design of ready-made Korean costume and utilized it in Grading, Marking which are critical steps to improve productivity and have reported the result in the research. Thus we expect that less cost, improved productivity and better quality with minimized loss of material from marking as well as from prompt and precise size-drawing. Furthermore the utilization of CAD system is considered as an effective one in terms of the research & the development to remove effective one in terms of the research & the development to remove irrational elements in the design and production process of Korean costume as well as in terms of the study of Korean Costume development through creative works of Korean Costume.
