A Pseudo Multiple Capture CMOS Image Sensor with RWB Color Filter Array

  • A color filter array (CFA) helps a single electrical image sensor to recognize color images. The Red-Green-Blue (RGB) Bayer CFA is commonly used, but the amount of the light which arrives at the photodiode is attenuated with this CFA. Red-White-Blue (RWB) CFA increases the amount of the light which arrives at photodiode by using White (W) pixels instead of Green (G) pixels. However, white pixels are saturated earlier than red and blue pixels. The pseudo multiple capture scheme and the corresponding RWB CFA were proposed to overcome the early saturation problem of W pixels. The prototype CMOS image sensor (CIS) was fabricated with $0.35-{\mu}m$ CMOS process. The proposed CIS solves the early saturation problem of W pixels and increases the dynamic range.

아동복 색채선호에 대한 조사연구 (A Study on Color Preference of Children's Wear)

  • The purpose of this study is to survey the color preference of mothers for the clothing of their children whose clothing is usually chosen by their mothers. The survey was performed by showing 60 color samples to provide the useful data for the fashion color planning. The result of this study shows that the prefe-rences in hue and tone are different mainly by season. The most preferred colors are yellow for boys and pink for girls in spring white in summer-beige in fall and black in winter. The most preferred tones for boys are pale in spring and summer dull in fall and dark in winter For girls light tone is most preferred in spring and pale in summer bright in fall and dark in winter Analysis of tone preferences in 6 colors shows that bright and clear are commonly preferred tones for children's clothing. Pale light vivid tones of yellow green and blue are preferred for girls and boys. Dark purple is preferred in fall and winter while pale tone is preferred in spring and summer. Red is preferred for girls especially in pale bright vivid tones while dark grayish and deep tones are preferred for boys in fall and winter.

울금 분말을 이용한 우피의 천연염색 (Natural Dyeability of Cow leather dyeing with Turmeric powder)

  • Dyeing properties of cow leather was investigated with Tumeric powder. The effects of dyeing conditions, mordanting conditions, color change, and color fastnesses were studied. The results were as follows. The dye uptake increased as dye concentration, dyeing temperature, and bath ratio increased. In the effect of dyeing time, the highest dye uptakes showed at 20 minutes and decreased after that point. Pre mordanting was more effective than the post mordanting, and the dye uptakes improved all mordanted fabrics. The highest K/S values showed in pre-Al sample, and the lowest K/S values showed in post-Cu one. The values of Hunter on the samples were more changeable $L^*$ and $b^*$ than $a^*$, and all samples showed Yellow color in Munsell value. But the mordanting methods and mordanting agents were not significant in the color changes. The light fastness of dyed samples showed 1 grade, the dry cleaning and abrasion fastnesses did not improved except post-Fe wet sample.

韓國 傳統服色에 대한 考察 (An Investigation on Traditional Costume Colors in Ancient Korea)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the traditional costume colors in ancient Korea. The results of this study can be summarized follows : The traditional costume colors in ancient Korea was affected on Chineses goverment official\`s costume colors, specially in Tongil Silla Dynasty. Goverment official\`s costume colors were purple(紫), red(赤), yeoolw(黃), blue(靑). The traditional Korean colors for clothes were devided in the white costume for low class and the colored costume of high class. The traditional Korean colors for colthes became fixed in the later Chosun dynasty, According to developing of dyeing technic, the prohibition of red costume for low class made for wear red undercloth. And on account of costume color in sumptuary law occured the transition of costume color. As transition of costume color, yellow(黃) changed in light in light yellow(松花色), purple(紫) did in dark green purple(茶割) Also it was found that the traditional Korean color for clothes was many kinds of soft, deep, natural colors out of red(紫)·yellow(黃)·white(白)·black(黑)·blue(靑).

  • The LCD backlight technique using light-emitting diode(LED) has been studied in the recent backlight market. The white light is need for LCD backlight and it is generally implemented by combining the RGB-LEDs to obtain the high brightness. However, RGB-LEDs have different color characteristics for the current and temperature variations, which results in the color shift problem. The color shift characteristics of RGB-LEDs for the current and temperature variations are investigated in this paper. This result can be used to control the color of backlight system using RGB-LEDs.

  • Because Image on the CRT change under different illuminants, human is difficult to see original color of object. If what is information of used illuminant on capturing object know, image can be transformed according to viewing condition using the linear matrix method. To know information of used illuminant at an image, the spectral radiance of illuminant can be estimated using the linear model of Maloney and Wandell form an image. And then image can be properly transformed it using color appearance model. In this paper, we predict the spectral radiance of illuminant using spectral power distribution of specular light and using surface spectral reflectance at maximum gray area. and then we perform visual experiments for the corresponding color reproduction according to viewing condition. In results, we ensure that the spectral radiance of illuminant at an image can be well estimated using above algorithms and that human visual system is 70% adapted to the monitor's white point and 30% to ambient light when viewing softcopy images.

  • Compared to conventional molding technology, the color uniformity of light direction emitted from LED is improved with PCB type lead frame technology in which metal thin film is used and transfer molding technology which makes the density of phosphor uniform by manufacturing high density LED lamp. The light efficiency and the color uniformity of the LED are improved by molding the phosphor layer outside of chip and controlling the thickness of the phosphor layer. CIE x,y difference of LED in major axis is also improved uniformly from 0 to 90 degrees.

  • 최근 주목받고 있는 광원인 LED를 이용하여 국소 환부 부위의 무영 촬영을 위해 의료용 링 라이트를 개발하였다. 개발된 링 라이트는 PWM 방식을 이용하여 다양한 광량의 조절이 가능하도록 설계하였으며 각각의 LED를 독립적으로 제어함으로 색온도 및 연색성의 조절이 가능하다. 또한 환부의 연속 촬영을 위한 지속광과 순간적인 촬영을 위한 플래시 모드의 동작이 가능 하다. 본 연구에서는 환부의 순간적인 무영촬영을 위해 구성된 인터페이스 회로를 이용하여 순간적인 플래시 기능의 응답속도를 확인하였다.

  • With the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, people need healing. Research in neuroarchitecture shows that people feel happy and stable when working with nature, and patients heal quickly. Therefore, This study aims to quantitatively analyze the colors that help psychological healing in the painting images depicting nature by setting 'Natural Colors' of Biophilic Design as the subject of research. So the purpose of this study was to measure Biophilic Color and to develop Biophilic Color Palette. We extracted Biophilic colors using Impressionist Monet's Landscape painting. After extracting colors using Photoshop Color Picker, we converted RGB color code to NCS color code and Munsell color code. The results of this study were as follows; The ratio of Y was high in the GY-series and YR-series. This is due to the characteristic of impressionism that expresses the change of color by light in close relationship with light. Y is universally considered to be pleasant, representing happiness, sunshine and optimism. Therefore, it is possible to create an environment that helps psychological healing by utilizing the Y-series color palette. Average Blackness was 28. Average Chromaticness was 34.61. The significance of this study is to propose a biophilic color palette that is useful for psychological healing by quantifying the color code of biophilic colors depicted and expressed with adjective images and idiomatic color names. Quantitative and empirical studies on healing colors are needed continuously and should be actively utilized in healing environment planning.
