음식 선택 요인에 따른 대학생의 메뉴 선택 행동에 관한 연구- 대전.충남 지역 대학생을 중심으로 - (A Study on College Students' Menu Choice Behavior by Food Choice Factor)

  • Recently, the desire of the students has been changing variously as time passes and its speed is being accelerated. In this respect, this paper aims to demonstrate college students' menu choice behavior. In order to attain the object of this paper, college students in Chung-Nam Province including Daejeon city have been studied. There are many kinds of manu choice factors in food-industry. One of the methods of this study is Khan's food choice factor. The results of this analysis suggest that hypothesis 1-1, the environmental factors for college students were verified as significant effects on menu choice behavior of other people and also hypothesis $1{\sim}2$, self oriented for menu choice behavior showed significant effects. As a result, Khan's food choice behavior should be comparative to each factor focused on diversified environments. And also each factor is not strongly affected in relation to food choice factor. Therefore, students' menu choice behavior will be measured by verifying factors.

이공계 신입생의 대학선택요인이 학업중단의도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of College Choice Factors on Intention to Dropout of First-year Undergraduates in STEM Majors)

  • This study aims to investigate the effect of college choice factors on withdrawal intention of first-year undergraduates in STEM majors. The data for this study were collected from a national sample of 4-year institutions that participated in Collegiate Longitudinal Study funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea during 2013-2014. The data included 1,484 students in STEM majors from 30 institutions, and this study used bivariate and multivariate analytic methods to answer the research questions. This study found that while the internal dimensions of college choice showed a negative effect on the intention to dropout, external dimensions of college choice such as college environment, financial accessibility, admission possibility had a positive effect on the intention. The findings indicate that it is necessary to pay attention to college choice for enrollment management to prevent first-year undergraduates in STEM majors from dropping out.

  • 본 연구에서는 전문대학생의 진로자기효능감 및 진로선택을 분석하였다. 전문대학생의 진로자기효능감과 진로선택은 전공계열과 전공만족도에 따라 차이가 나타났으며, 성별의 경우 진로선택에서만 차이가 나타났다. IT자격증 유무는 진로자기효능감과 진로선택에 있어 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 전문대학생의 경우 진로자기효능감을 높이기위해서는 전공계열별로 전공만족도를 향상시킬 필요가 있으며, 진로선택시 대부분이 전공계열로 진학 및 취업 할 계획이기에 전공에 대한 만족도를 높일 수 있는 다양한 방안이 마련되어야 할 것이다.

고등학생과 대학생의 소비자 선택행동의 차이 비교 (Comparison of consumer choice between high school students and college students)

  • The study purposes to compare consumer choice behavior of high school students with that of college students. Through a questionnaire survey, data were collected from 385 high school students and from 230 college students. The results were as follows; 1) consumer choice behavior patterns were sorted into 'the indifferent type', 'the bragging type', and 'the economic type'. 2) The college students tended to choose new products or famous brands, to do comparison and planned shopping, and to buy more on impulse than the high school students. On the other hand, the high school students tended to buy low-priced products or products at discount prices. 3) The female students chose new and low- priced products and bought more on impulse than the male students. 4) Most of female and male college students belonged to the 'bragging type'. 'The indifferent type' was the most common of male high school students. 5) 'The economic type' was the least of all college students and highschool students.

  • Objectives: Objectives: The objective of this study is to describe the WHO-CHOICE(World Health Organization- CHOosing Interventions that are Cost-Effective) programme, and to consider the application of WHO-CHOICE programme in Korea, especially on the health promotion policy. Methods: Literature review was conducted on the contents of WHO-CHOICE programme in the previous studies, guidebook, and software. We also contacted WHO-CHOICE team at WHO to identify the contents not clearly presented in the documents. Results: The WHO-CHOICE programme is a standardized tool for analyzing and comparing the cost effectiveness of health promotion policies. It is composed of PopMod to measure the health effect of intervention and of CostIt to measure the cost. The cost of tobacco control policy in Korea was analyzed with the cooperation of WHO-CHOICE team preliminary, and the results were different with the results of tobacco control policy on western pacific region of WHO. Conclusions: The cost effectiveness study based on WHO-CHOICE programme could help decide a priority of health promotion policy for settings with limited resources. For the improvement of health, the future work on WHO-CHOICE programme need to be considered.

Consumer Choice Model in No-frills Airline Industry

  • Despite the explosive growth of no-frill airline industry, very little is known about how consumers make purchase decision in such settings. Today's airline industry requires choice models consistent with consumers' true preference sets. This study used conjoint analysis to identify these ideal choice models. 38 percent of the subjects were found to use compensatory and 62 percent non-compensatory models. Our findings suggest a need to base choice-making promotions on ideal choice models if the promotion is to lead consumers to decisions consistent with true preferences.

타 지역 거주 간호학과 신입생의 인성, 자아탄력성, 진로선택몰입이 대학 생활 적응에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Personality, Ego-resilience, and Commitment to Career Choice on the Adaptation to College among New Nursing Students from Various Regions)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the effects of personality, ego-resilience, and commitment to career choice on the adaptation to college among new nursing students residing in various regions. Methods: The participants were 175 freshmen in nursing departments at 7 universities located in D Metropolitan city. Data were collected through an online questionnaire from June 20, 2022 to July 1, 2022. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS/WIN 28.0 software. Results: The average scores of participants were as follows: personality (4.10±0.41), ego-resilience (3.55±0.62), commitment to career choice (3.36±0.59), and adaptation to college (3.63±0.58). The factors influencing college adaptation were ego-resilience, personality, satisfaction with nursing major, and commitment to career choice. The combined explanatory power of these variables for college adaptation was 64.8%. Conclusion: This study highlights the necessity for developing educational programs, training initiatives, and curricular activities to enhance ego-resilience, foster appropriate personality, increase satisfaction with nursing major, and improve commitment to career choice levels among new nursing students residing in various regions.

의류제품의 상표선택행동유형에 관한 연구 (A study of College Students' Brand Choice Behaviors)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the brand choice behaviors of male and female college students in their twenties, to examine the differences in their information-searching activity to the type of the behaviors and shopping places for purchasing apparel products. The data were analyzed by Factor analysis, Ouster analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test. The results are as follows: 1. With regard to the brand choice behaviors of male and female college students in their twenties, two factors were produced as 'consumers' loyalty to brand' and 'brand switching behavior'. 2. The brand choice behaviors were classified into three groups as 'a brand-switching group', 'a loyalty-to-brand group', and 'an indifferent-to-brand group'. There were significant differences between the groups. 3. The results for demographic differences in terms of the brand choice behaviors showed that there was a significant difference in 'brand switching behaviors' by gender. 4. There were significant differences in the media for information search and the places for shopping apparel products in terms of the brand choice behaviors.

국내 전문대학교 문헌정보과에 진학하는 학생들의 전공 선택요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Factors Influencing the Choice of Library and Information Science as a Major among College Students)

  • 본 연구는 국내 전문대학교 문헌정보과에 진학한 학생들을 대상으로 하여 설문조사를 실시함으로써 전공 선택에 영향을 미치는 요인(개인 요인, 가정 요인, 고등학교 요인, 대학교 요인, 사회 요인)을 통계적으로 검증하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개인 요인과 사회 요인이 전문대학교 문헌정보과 전공 선택에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 사회 요인보다 개인 요인이 전문대학교 문헌정보과 전공 선택에 더 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 개인 요인은 전문대학교 문헌정보과 전공 선택에 유의미한 정적(+)인 영향을 주는 반면에 사회 요인은 전문대학교 문헌정보과 전공 선택에 유의미한 부적(-)인 영향을 주는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 국내 전문대학교 문헌정보과들이 대학입학자원의 감소에 대비하기 위한 유용한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

의과대학과 의학전문대학원생들의 진로적응성에 따른 직업관, 진로선택, 전공미결정요인 비교 (Work Value, Career Choice, and Specialty Indecision Based on Career Adaptability of Medical College and Graduate School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences between medical college students and graduate school students with regard to the factors that shape career choice and specialty indecision. One hundred and thirty-three students from a medical school participated in this study. The students completed a survey, which collected information on career choice, specialty indecision, and career adaptability. Significant differences were found between high and low career adaptability groups in factors that affected specialty choice and indecision. Students with high career adaptability were significantly more affected by 'intellectual content of specialty,' 'ages and characteristics of patients,''patient contact experience during the early years of medical school,' and 'greater opportunity for research.' Among the specialty indecision factors, students with high career adaptability were affected by 'several specialties equally appealing to me' and 'many interests,' while students with low career adaptability were affected by being 'unaware of my abilities,''unaware of my interests' and having 'learned my choice was not possible for me.' The factor having the greatest influence on specialty indecision was 'need more information and support,' and there were no significant differences in these factors between the two groups. The results suggest that the development of career counseling and education programs need to be designed for medical college students and graduate students in terms of career adaptability and specialty indecision.
