  • The powers used in the robot drive motor system are mostly DC sources such as batteries. Even AC powers in some systems are generated from DC sources by the inverter. It is can be forecasted that the DC-link communications will be widely used invarious industrial application. In this paper a novel BLDC motor drive system by using DC-link communications is proposed. The characteristic of this system is the communication only needs 2 DC lines. There are not additional lines to translate the reference signals and the reliability of the system is enhanced especially in some badly circumstance. The number of lines can be least when applied in the multi motor control system and the slip ring design can be simplified when applied as rotation machine. The reasonableness of proposed motor system is clarified by the PSIM simulation and the hardware prototype.

  • This paper presents a bidirectional DC-DC converter suitable for low-voltage super capacitor-based electric energy storage systems. The DC-DC converter presented here consists of a full-bridge circuit and a current-fed push-pull circuit with a high frequency (HF) transformer-link. In order to reduce the device-conduction losses due to the large current of the super capacitor as well as unnecessary ringing, synchronous rectification is employed in the super capacitor-charging mode. A wide range of voltage regulation between the battery and the super capacitor can be realized by employing a Phase-Shifting (PS) Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) scheme in the full-bridge circuit for the super capacitor charging mode as well as the overlapping PWM scheme of the gate signals to the active power devices in the push-pull circuit for the super capacitor discharging mode. Essential performance of the bidirectional DC-DC converter is demonstrated with simulation and experiment results, and the practical effectiveness of the DC-DC converter is discussed.

  • Authentication is a mechanism to establish proof of identities, the authentication process ensure that. Who a particular user is. Nowadays PC and laptop user authentication systems are always done once a hold until s explicitly revoked by the user, or asking the user to frequently reestablish his identity which encouraging him to disable authentication. Zero-Interaction Authentication (ZIA) provides solution to this problem. In ZIA,. a user wears a small authentication token that communicates with a laptop over a short-range, wireless link. ZIA combine authentication with a file encryption. Here we proposed a Laptop-user Authentication Based Mobile phone (LABM). In our model of authentication, a user uses his Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone, which work as an authentication token that provides the authentication for laptop over a Bluetooth wireless link, m the concept of transient authentication with our combining It with encryption file system. The user authenticate to the mobile phone infrequently. In turn, the mobile phone continuously authenticates to the laptop by means of the short-range, wireless link.

  • In this paper, we investigate an interference mitigation scheme by antenna selection in device-to-device (D2D) communication underlaying downlink cellular networks. We first present the closed-form expression of the system achievable rate and its asymptotic behaviors at high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and the large antenna number scenarios. It is shown that the high SNR approximation increases with more antennas and higher ratio between the transmit SNR at the base station (BS) and the D2D transmitter. In addition, a tight approximation is derived for the rate and we reveal two thresholds for both the distance of the D2D link and the transmit SNR at the BS above which the underlaid D2D communication will degrade the system rate. We then particularize on the small cell setting where all users are closely located. In the small cell scenario, we show that the relationship between the distance of the D2D transmitting link and that of the D2D interfering link to the cellular user determines whether the D2D communication can enhance the system achievable rate. Numerical results are provided to verify these results.

  • This paper deals with determination of parameters of permanent magnet linear synchronous machine(PMLSM) for high thrust and improvement of speed performance. To satisfy these characteristics, PMLSM with double-sided PM mover and slotless ring-winding stator is presented. And using multilaver method, this paper analyzes the electromagnetic field phenomena and estimates parameters such as back-EMF and thrust constant. These parameters are used to derive DC link voltage of voltage source inverter with space vector pulse width modulation(SVPWM) using a digital signal processor and encoder pulse signal. The DC link voltage is one of the most important factor for accurate design. It enables to determinate dynamic operating range of system. Hence, performance evaluation is performed through dynamic modeling. Finally, in this paper, dynamic characteristics according to DC link voltage are presented as experiment result.

  • In order to achieve faster content distribution speed and stronger fault tolerance, a P2P peer can connect to multiple peers in parallel and receive chunks of the data simultaneously. A critical issue in this environment is selecting a set of nodes participating in swarming sessions. Previous related researches only focus on performance metrics, such as downloading time or the round-trip time, but in this paper, we consider a new performance metric which is closely related to the network and propose a peer selection algorithm that produces the set of peers generating optimal worst link stress. We prove that the optimal algorithm is practicable and has the advantages with the experiments on PlanetLab. The algorithm optimizes the congestion level of the bottleneck link. It means the algorithm can maximize the affordable throughput. Second, the network load is well balanced. A balanced network improves the utilization of resources and leads to the fast content distribution. We also notice that if every client follows our algorithm in selecting peers, the probability is high that all sessions could benefit. We expect that the algorithm in this paper can be used complementary to existing methods to derive new and valuable insights in peer-to-peer networking.

  • An increasing demand for esthetic restorations has led to the development of new ceramic systems. In-Ceram, a glass-infiltrated alumina ceramic has three to few times greater flexural strength than other ceramic glass material. Because of its high strength, In-Ceram has been suggested as inlay, crown, laminate veneer and core material for resin bonded fixed partial dentures. This clinical application requires a stable resin bond to In-Ceram core. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the shear bond strength between In-Ceram core and resin cements according to various surface treatments and storage conditions. The surface of each In-Ceram core sample was subjected to one of the following treatments and then bonded to Panavia 21 or Variolink II resin cement. ; (1) sandblasting with $110{\mu}m$ aluminum oxide powder, (2) sandblasting and silanization, (3) sandblasting and Siloc treatment, (4) sandblasting and Targis link application. Each of eight bonding groups was tested in shear bond strengths after the following storage times and thermocycling. ; A) 24 hours storage in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$, B) 5 weeks storage in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ C) 5 weeks storage in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ and thermocycled 2,000 thormocycling for every 10 days(totally 10,000 thermocycting) in $5^{\circ}C-55^{\circ}C$ bath. The bond failure modes were observed with scanning electron microscope(SEM). The results were as fellows : 1 The shear bond strengths of sandblasting group were significantly lesser than the other groups after 24 hours water storage. No significant difference of bonding strengths was found between storage time conditions(24 hours and 5 weeks). The shear bond strengths showed a tendency to decrease in Variolink II bonding groups and to increase in Panavia 21 bonding groups. 3. After thermocycling, the shear bond strengths of all groups were significantly decreased(p<0.01) and Targis link group exhibited significantly greater strengths than the other groups(p<0.05). 4. Panavia 21 bonding groups exhibited significantly greater bonding strengths in sandblasting group(p<0.01) and silane group(p<0.05) than Variolink II bonding groups. 5. In observation of bond failure modes, Targis link group showed cohesive failure in resin part and silane group and Siloc group showed complex failure and sandblasting group showed adhesive failure between In-Ceram and resin.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new dynamic channel allocation algorithm for TD-SCDMA with cross time slots. In order to reduce the interference in cross time slot, the mobile stations (MSs) are divided into two groups: the Near Group consisting of MSs near by the base station(BS) and the Far Group including the MSs far from the BS. The reverse link for MSs in the Near Group and forward link for MSs in the Far Group are allocated to the cross time slot. In cellular systems, a BS has multiple neighbor BSs. Some of neighbor BSs can operate in the same direction link while the others have cross time slot. Thus, it is required to determine which BS has the most significant impact in terms of interference. We divide each cell into 6 areas based on the direction of arrival of smart antenna and the most significant neighbor sector is determined with this division. The proposed allocation method and area division method can avoid the severe interference in cross time slots and increase the system capacity about 2%~9% compared to FCA, and 0.5%~1.3% compared to RCA.
