  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between dance passion, self-management, and dance immersion. Specifically, passion for dance was subdivided into obsessive-compulsive passion and harmonious passion, and these were selected as exogenous variables. In addition, it is intended to provide theoretical and educational implications by analyzing the structural equation model composed of endogenous variables of self-management and dance immersion. The subjects of this study were college students majoring in dance, and the final 206 students were selected as effective samples by the convenient sampling method. For data processing, frequency analysis and reliability analysis were performed using SPSS 23. In addition, AMOS 21 was used for confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation model analysis. As a result of the study, first, it was found that both compulsive passion and harmonious passion have a positive effect on self-management. Second, self-management was found to have a positive effect on dance immersion. Third, it was found that compulsive passion had a positive effect on dance commitment, but harmonious passion did not have a statistically significant effect on dance commitment.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the shear bond strength of the composite resin bonded on the bleached enamel surface according to its surface treatment. 90 extracted human premolars were divided into six groups. : enamel unbleached (control group) and enamel bleached with 15% carbamide peroxide for 2 weeks (experimental groups: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5). The surface of bleached enamel in all experimental groups was treated by following manners. Experimental group 1 : catalase immersion for 3 mimutes. Experimental group 2 : catalase immersion for 15 mimutes. Experimental group 3 : artificial saliva immersion for 1 hour. Experimental group 4 : artificial saliva immersion for 48 hours. Experimental group 5: surface reduction of the bleached enamel about 0.5mm-1mm with superfine diamond bur. Composite resin molds(3mm height, 3mm diameter) were bonded to the untreated enamel and treated. The shear bond strengths of composite resin bonded to enamel of each specimen were tested with universal testing machine at a crosshead speed of 5mm/min and 500Kg in full scale and analyzed statistically. The following results were obtained : 1. Control group had the highest shear bond strength with $19.92{\pm}5.14$ MPa and experimental group 5 had the lowest shear bond strength with $11.15{\pm}4.23$ MPa. 2. Control group showed significant differences in shear bond strength with experimental group 1(P<0.05). 3. Control group showed significant differences in shear bond strength with experimental group 5(P<0.05). 4. Experimental group 4 showed significant differences in shear bond strength with experimental group 5(P<0.05). 5. Experimental group 3 showed no significant differences in shear bond strength with experimental group 4(P<0.05).

  • Since the late 1930s, acrylic resins have been the materials of choice for the fabrication of complete denture bases. It has excellent esthetic properties, adequate strength, low water sorption, and low solubility. But acrylic resin has disadvantage of processing shrinkage that reduces denture retention and accuracy of denture occlusion. Metals also have been used in denture base material. Metals used in denture bases display excellent strength and dimensional stability. The major disadvantages associated with metal denture bases include increased cost, difficulty in fabrication, compromised esthetic qualities, and inability to re-base. The purpose of this study is to compare the artificial tooth movements of complete dentures with resin bases and metal bases after curing, deflasking, polishing immersion in water for 1 week and 4 weeks. Twenty-four maxillary complete resin denture bases with artificial teeth were fabricated. Twelve of them were resin based and other twelve of them were metal based. Fine crosses were marked on the incisal edges of right central incisors and distobuccal cusps of be second molars. Measurements were done for the changes of distances of reference points at the time of wax denture, after deflasking after decasting after polishing after immersion in water for 1 week and 4 weeks Meaurements were done to the accuracy of 0.001mm with a measuring microscope. The results were as follows : 1. Metal base showed significantly less tooth movement than resin base after curing and decasting (p<0.01). 2. Metal base showed significantly less tooth movement than resin base after polishing (p<0.01). 3. After immersion in water for 1 week and 4 weeks, metal base showed less movement than resin base. Difference was significant for anterior-posterior distances (p<0.01), but not significant for molar-to-molar distance (p>0.01). 4. 1 week and 4 weeks of immersion failed to compensate the initial processing shrinkage of metal and resin bases (p>0.01).

  • To determine physical and physiological factors for Liriodendron tulipifera L. somatic embryo germination, temporary immersion bioreactor (TIB) system was investigated. It was designed to immerse liquid media with plantlets so that it was able to adjust the immersion time. Immersion of 120 minutes every 4 hours and 60 minutes every 4 hours was found to be effective in germination (91.64%, 85.67%, respectively). However, hyperhydricity of the plantlets was higher in short immersion time (15 minutes every 6 hours) and long immersion time (120 minutes every 4 hours) (51.61%, 34.28%, respectively). Immersion of 60 minutes every 4 hours showed the lowest hyperhydric plantlets, and also it showed the lowest activities of abscisic acid (ABA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and catalase. The overall results implied that immersion time of media affected germination and growth of somatic embryo, and it was able to make use of germination and growth of L. tulipifera somatic embryos.

  • This study aims to discuss ways needed to prepare their careers through relations between the personal internal factors perceived by college students in the process of career preparation and the external factors they experience during college life. To this end, the study conducted not only a questionnaire survey of 927 students at K University in Seoul but also hierarchical multiple regression analysis, independent two sample t-test, and one-way ANOVA (analysis of variance). The study set career preparation as a dependent variable, presented research models in four steps, and the explanatory power of each model was statistically significant. According to the findings of the study, both Model 1 and Model 2, gender had a significant impact on career preparation. Also, when self-directedness was added to Model 2, self-directedness had a greater impact on career preparation than gender did. When satisfaction with extracurricular activities was added to Model 3, this factor turned out to be helpful for career preparation. When college immersion, or a sense of belonging to college, was added to Model 4, the higher the sense of belonging students perceived, the more helpful they felt it for their career preparations. This study is expected to be helpful in preparing a policy to support college students' career preparation by grasping the relations between the personal characteristics of college students and career-related activities and college immersion they experience during college life.
