U-City related researches and development have been actively conducted in Korea since 2002. According to the Act on Ubiquitous City Construction, "U-City" is defined as "the city to provide ubiquitous service anytime anywhere through the existing ubiquitous backbone systems and ubiquitous technologies, ultimately for the purpose of improving urban competitiveness and quality of life. This research explains the plan to develop collective management technology for integrated operation of U-Space which makes up U-City. Specifically, this report is intended to suggest basic approach of identifying collective management elements of each U-Space type, developing integrated management system and creating interface module to link the system with urban integrated operation center.

많은 과학 분야 응용 어플리케이션들이 대규모 데이터 처리를 수행하면서, 병렬 I/O의 중요성이 급속도로 부각되고 있다. 특히 집합 I/O는 병렬 I/O의 중요한 개념 중 하나이며, 응용 프로그래머들이 쉽게 대용량 데이터를 취급할 수 있도록 해주고 있다. 본 연구에서는 원래의 집합 I/O들과 집합 I/O를 효과적으로 쓰기 위한 방법 중 하나인 부분군 기법의 성능을 측정하고 분석하였다. 실험 결과를 통하여 두 종류의 부분군 기법이 서로 다른 성능을 보임을 확인하였다. 집합 쓰기의 경우 부분군 기법은 성능저하를 나타냈으나 집합 읽기의 경우 적은 데이터를 사용하는 경우 우수한 성능을 보여 주고 있음을 확인하였다.

IBM developed the MPI-IO, we call it MPI-2, on the General Parallel File System. We designed and implemented various Matrix Multiplication Benchmarks to evaluate its performances. The MPI-IO on the General Parallel File System shows four kinds of data access methods : the non-collective and blocking, the collective and blocking, the non-collective and non-blocking, and the split collective operation. In this paper, we propose benchmarks to measure the IO time and the computation time for the data access methods. We describe not only its implementation but also the performance evaluation results.

왜 한국의 국회는 첨예하게 갈등하고 파행적으로 운영되는 모습을 빈번하게 보여주고 있는가? 이 질문과 관련하여 본 연구는 국회의 집합적 의사결정 구조에 대한 정당들간의 인식 차이가 존재하고, 이것이 국회 내 갈등과 불신을 심화시키는 요인으로 작용하고 있다는 점에 주목하고 있다. 구체적으로 본 연구는 뷰캐넌과 튤락이 제시한 대의민주주의 하의 집합적 의사결정 모델을 활용하여 의회 내 신뢰의 문제는 다수 의사의 존중과 소수 의사의 보호를 최적으로 추구할 수 있는 토대가 된다는 점을 논의하고 있다. 그리고 한국의 국회가 최적의 집합적 의사결정을 이루어내지 못하는 이유는 국회의 집합적 의사결정 구조에 대한 합의가 부족한 상황 속에서 다수결적 방식과 합의적 방식을 선호하는 정당들이 서로 충돌하기 때문이라는 점을 지적하고 있다. 이를 토대로 본 연구는 한국의 국회가 최적의 집합적 의사결정을 이루어내기 위해서는, 그리고 국회 내 정당들간의 신뢰를 회복하기 위해서는 합의적 의사결정 제도의 도입을 확대하고, 장외투쟁과 물리적 저항 등과 같은 비제도적 수단의 동원을 방지하는 것이 최선의 선택이 될 수 있다는 점을 제안하고 있다.

본 논문은 집단보호장비에 들어가는 회로카드조립체의 고장 원인 분석 및 품질 개선에 관한 연구이다. 해당 장비는 현재 운용중인 무기체계의 구성품으로 냉난방 기능뿐만 아니라, 화생 방어 역할을 한다. 그런데 군에서 운용중에 응축부조립체의 팬이 동작하지 않는 현상이 다수 발생되었다. 이에 따라 고장 원인을 분석하였고 특정 회로카드조립체가 소손됨을 확인하였다. 고온의 환경조건에서 지속적인 냉방가동에 따라 부품이 가열되고 이에 따라 고온에 노출된 전자부품이 열화되어 소손됨을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 본 논문은 이를 해결하기 위해 방열판을 적용하여 과온 동작에 의한 고장빈도를 낮추고 회로카드조립체의 수명을 연장한 품질 개선에 관한 연구이다. 개선된 회로카드조립체는 실험을 통해 방열성능을 확인하였다. 뿐만 아니라 체계 호환성 검사, 양압유지, 소음 시험, 작동시험 등을 통해 성능검사를 마쳤으며 현재 개선된 제품을 적용중이다. 이번 개선을 통해 현재까지 해당 회로카드조립체에서 발생한 고장은 없으며 해당 장비의 품질이 향상됨을 확인하였다.

The purpose of this study was to examine dental hygienists' knowledge of implant operation, which is recently emerging as one of the important medical services in the dental treatment sector. It's ultimately intended to serve as a basis for the preparation of more effective, appropriate implant-education programs for dental hygienists and to help them, who take a crucial part in implant operation, provide better dental services to patients who are in need of implant operation. The subjects in this study were 368 selected dental hygienists who were working in the dental institutions in the region of Taegu. The results of this study were as below: 1. The largest number of the dental hygienists investigated, 34.1%, were at age 25 to 27. The second most common age was 24 and under, and the third most common age group was 28 to 30. For educational level, most of them, 91.0%, were junior-college graduates, and 9.0% were being in or graduated from four-year-course university. Concerning career, 52.7%, the greatest percentage, had worked for one to three years, and 41.3% had a four-year or higher career. 812%, most of them, were working in dental clinics, and 18.3% were serving in dental hospital or general hospital. 2. Many of the dental institutions were providing implant operation services, as the dental institutions where 64.9% of the subjects were working conducted implant operation. In relation to the necessity of implant operation, the dominant opinion, 73.0%, was thai it's needed to make oral slate healthier. So there was a strong tendency to ad mit implant as one of the necessary treatments in the dental treatment sector. 3. Their collective mean implant knowledge got $57.02{\pm}14.11$. And the collective average of 21 items was $2.7153{\pm}0.6720$ on the basis of 5 points, which was below the average(3 points of Likert scale). This meant that the dental hygienists didn't have a good knowledge or understanding of implant. When it's taken into account what role should be performed by dental hygienists, their implant knowledge should be increased. 4. As a result of examining the effect of the general characteristics on their implant knowledge, the educational level(t=-3.481, P=0.001) and the type of dental institution where they were working(F=16.476, P=0.001) made a significant difference. 5. Their implant knowledge was significantly different according to whether or not the dental institution they were serving conducted implant operation (t=7.199, P=0.001). And, whether or not they agreed to the necessity of implant operation also generated a significant difference to their implant knowledge(F=8.610, P=0.000).

The road traffic noise becomes aggravated due to the rapid increase of motor vehicles. It has a great effect on the dwelling environment. Therefore we investigate the characteristics and sources of the motor vehicle noise through grasping the status of the motor vehicle noise. Traffic noise results from the collective contribution of the noise produced by individual motor vehicles. The motor vehicle noise varies enormously depending upon its type and mode of operation.

In this paper, we introduce IEC 60300(Dependability program management) into urban transit system, and propose effective method to apply IEC 60300 to Subway Corporation. The dependability is the collective term used to describe the availability performance and its influencing factors such as reliability performance, maintainability performance and maintenance support performance. A dependability program covers all phases of a system's life cycle from planning to operation and possibly disposal, and is composed of program elements divided into tasks.
