직무요구-통제 모형에 의한 간호사의 소진(Burnout)에 관한 연구 (An Empirical Study on the Burnout of Nurses Based on the Job Demand-Control Model)

  • Based on the Job Demand-Control model which was proposed by R. A. Karasek, this study was designed to investigate the relationships among job demand, job control, and job burnout of nurses. In addition, the other aim of the present study was to test the moderating or buffering role of social supports in the relationship between the job demand and job burnout. The analysis based on data collected from 239 nurses who are working in two general hospitals has produced the following results. We found that job demand was primarily related to the exhaustion component of burnout, whereas (lack of) job control was related to the disengagement dimension of burnout. And social supports from the supervisor attenuated the disengagement, whereas social supports from the colleague diminished the exhaustion. But, we found no interaction effects that were expected in the hypotheses. Specifically, social supports didn't buffer the negative effects of job demand on burnout, while job control had the moderating effect which was in opposite direction. The implications of these analyses and limitations of the study were then discussed.

수학 예비교사가 개발한 평가 문항의 교육과정 충실도와 문항 완성도 (Curriculum Coherence and Item Completeness in the Items which Preservice Teachers Developed)

  • 학교에서의 수학 평가는 국가 교육과정과 일관되게 이루어져야 한다. 본 연구는 예비교사들이 교육과정에 충실하게 평가 문항을 개발한 과정을 분석하였다. 예비교사들은 교육과정에 대한 지식을 이미 갖추었지만 평가 문항에 교육과정을 충실하게 반영하지 못했다. 그러나 동료들과 여러 차례의 검토와 수정 과정을 거친 토론 속에서 평가 문항의 교육과정 충실도는 점점 더 높아졌다. 그리고 예비교사들은 토론을 통한 문항 수정을 하면서 교육과정 외에 출제자의 의도에 부합하게 문항을 구성하고, 학생들이 문항을 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 돕고, 문항들 간의 일관성을 갖기 위한 의견을 제시하면서 문항의 완성도를 높여 갔다.

상행대동맥류와 대동맥판막부전증이 동반된 환자의 외과적 치료 (Surgical Management of Ascending Aortic Aneurysm and Aortic Regurgitation)

  • The aneurysmal dilatation of ascending aorta with the aortic regurgitation presents typical surgical problems. Over the years, various surgical procedures had been used for the management of the dilated segment of sending aorta and the aortic regurgitation. The surgical technique Is still in the state of evolution. The one method is the super coronary replacement of the ascending aorta with vascular graft and replacement of the aortic valve with preservation of the coronary ostia as advocated by Miller and his colleague at Stanford University, so called conventional technique". The other is the replacement of aortic valve and the dilated segment of the ascending aorta using a composite graft and transplantation of the coronary ostia as described by Bentall and DeBono in 1968. The controversy appears to evolve around 3 technical problems. One is bleeding from the grafted area. Two is later development of the aneurysmal dilatation of the subcoronary aortic wall when non-composite graft is employed. Three is a management of the coronary arteries. The purpose of this article is to present our experience with 7 cases of annuloaortic ectasia in whom both of these surgical techniques at that employed and to review some of the problems that encountered during the management of these patients .

소방공무원의 직무만족요소에 의한 공간만족평가 영향에 관한 연구 - 인천지방 소방공무원을 중심으로 - (Influence Factors on Job Satisfaction Factor and Spatial Environments Evaluation of Fire-Fighting Officer - Focused on Fire Officials in Incheon Metropolitan City -)

  • A study on how fire officer's job satisfaction factors influence space satisfaction rates. This article will conduct regression analysis for the study on these three problems. 'What are the factors of fire officer's job satisfaction?', 'Does space satisfaction rates influence job satisfaction rates?', 'Which job satisfaction factor influence space satisfaction rate?' Therefore, variables were set based on the prior study, and before regression analysis was conducted, variables were purified through analysis on primary factor and reliability analysis, and hypothesis test was done via variable calculation. According to the prior study, factors that influence job satisfaction rates are as following; self-regulation of tasks, ethics and responsibility level, relationship with colleagues, job identity. And regression analysis showed that space satisfaction rates do not influence job satisfaction rates. The writer thinks that it's showing that Korean fire officers tend to prioritize colleague relationship and job identity over space improvements. And the factor that influence job satisfaction rates turned out to be the self-regulation of tasks, and the writer estimates that it's reflecting the hierarchical organization culture of current Korean fire officers. Therefore, future Korean fire station design plans need to consider a space plan that provides fire officer's private self-regulation of tasks.

중년기 남성의 가족 및 직업관련 변인과 생활만족도의 관계 (The relationships between Middle-Aged Men's Family and Work related variables and satisfaction)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships of middle-aged men's family and work related variables and satisfaction. Based on the results of the study, the following was concluded ; First, there were significant differences in men's satisfaction across education level, economic variables, and occupation. Second, family related variables, work related variables, and work-family conflict were significantly correlated with satisfaction. In reference to family related variable, satisfaction was higher when marital satisfaction is good, parental stress, adult caring burden, and work-family conflict are lower. In reference to work related variables, satisfaction is higher when job stress is lower, job security is lower, and colleague relationship is good. Third, family related variables, work related variables, and work-family conflict were significantly correlated with mutually one another. Specifically, parental stress is correlated with work related variables. A higher correction was reported between work-family conflict and job stress. Finally, results of multiple regression analysis showed that these variable influenced middle-aged men's satisfaction. Moreover, the degree of explanation for satisfaction increased more, when family and work related variables, and work-family conflict add in individual character variables.

Factors Affecting Employee Loyalty: A Case of Small and Medium Enterprises in Tra Vinh Province, Viet Nam

  • The study aims to identify the factors affecting employee loyalty in the case of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Tra Vinh province, Viet Nam and to find out critical factors affecting the loyalty of employees in SMEs. This is implemented with the method of collecting primary data of 320 employees working at SMEs in 5 districts including: Cau Ngang, Tra Cu, Chau Thanh, Cang Long, Tieu Can) and Tra Vinh City, Viet Nam. Using the multivariate regression method, the researchers have found 6 factors affecting employee loyalty: colleagues, leaders, job characteristics, remuneration policies, organizational culture, and working environment. Particularly, learning opportunities may not be not statistically significant for employees' loyalty towards small and medium-sized enterprises in Tra Vinh province. From the above research results, the authors have proposed implicational piolicies such as: focusing on colleague relationships, improving leadership of business owners, attaching importance to appropriate work arrangement, having appropriate remuneration policies for laborers, building effective organizational culture and working environment to improve employee loyalty at SMEs. From the above policy implications, helping business owners realize the aspirations of workers in small and medium-sized enterprises more closely in the future, in order to sustainably develop the business system in Vietnam.

학교 외부공간의 자연적 감시 취약지역 분석기법에 관한 연구 (A Research on the Analysis Method of School Exterior Space Lacking Natural Surveillance)

  • The number of school crime has grown continuously for last ten years and its intensity also has reached to serious condition. The concept of CPTED(Crime Prevention through Environmental Design) needs to be focused for improving school environment regarding this context. The exterior space of school environment is variously exposed to school crimes committed by colleague students and also intruders. From the perspective of school CPTED, Natural surveillance as one of the practical strategies requires the micro-scale analysis which clarifies local visibility at each different school exterior space. Thus, the purpose of this research is to develop the analysis method clarifying visibility condition at exterior space of school environment, which supports finding the condition of natural surveillance. The programmed analysis algorithm generated quantitative results clarifying Degree for static visibility and Clustering Coefficient for user tracking visibility. The result of this study produced the analysis method feasible to clarify weak natural surveillance conditions at school exterior spaces. Also, it is expected that the developed analysis method will be used to improve the layout of school exterior space from the perspective of CPTED.

신경외과 임상전문간호사의 역할갈등과 직무만족에 관한 연구 (A Study on Role Conflict and Job Satisfaction of Neurosurgery Clinical Nurse Specialist)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe role conflict and job satisfaction of Neurosurgery Clinical Nurse Specialist(NCNS) and to identify associated factors. Method: The target populations was 77 NCNSs from 30 general hospitals. Data were collected with self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using t-test and ANOVA. Results: The overall mean scores of role conflict and job satisfaction were $3.60({\pm}0.54)$ and $3.04({\pm}0.46)$ respectively. Significant variables affecting role conflict were the working period as NCNS, the number of colleague NCNSs in working hospital, and assignment of prescription rights. The significant variable affecting job satisfaction was assignment of prescription rights. There was no statistically significant correlation between job and role conflict. Conclusion: The variable effecting both role conflict and job satisfaction was the extent of prescription rights. In order to improve the quality of patient care and to protect Neurosurgery Nurse Clinical Specialist, the enactment of law on prescription practice is needed.

생비골 유리 피판술을 이용한 수부의 복합조직 결손의 재건 (Reconstruction of Composite Defect of Hand with Two Segmented Osteocutaneous Fibular Free Flap)

  • The advent of free bone flaps has made successful replacement of extensive areas of bone loss in the upper and lower extremities. The microvascular free bone flaps have faster healing without bony absorption or atrophy and can heal in the hostile environment of scarred bed or infection. Since the fibula free flap introduced by Taylor and colleague in 1975, it has been used extensively for skeletal reconstruction of extremities. In 1988, the folded vascularized fibula free flap was first described as a technique to reconstruct significant long bone defect of upper and lower extremities. During the same time, the fibular free flap has evolved to become most preferred choice of mandibular reconstruction. Up to present day, few reports have been made on the fibular free flap used for reconstruction of injured hand containing metacarpal bone and soft tissue defect. We present here our new and unique experiences with vascularized fibular osteocutaneous free flap as useful and satisfactory one for reconstruction of hand with composite defects.

보건진료전담공무원의 간호연구 활용의 장애요인 및 근거기반실무 활동과 역량 (Community Health Practitioners' Perception of Barriers to Research Utilization, Current Status and the Competence in Evidence based Practice)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify community health practitioners' (CHP) perception of barriers to research utilization, current status and competence in evidence-based practice (EBP). Methods: From all over the country, 126 CHP completed an e-mail survey. Results: The items with the highest barrier scores were that it is difficult to understand articles written in English and physicians will not cooperate with implementation. There were statistically significant differences in the scores for attitude toward EBP and knowledge in EBP by education level and nursing academic society membership status. When faced with a problem, the nurses usually use related regulations or asked a colleague for advice. Conclusion: Results indicate an awareness of the necessity of applying EBP, need to improve readiness to use EBP voluntarily and actively, and need to search for various factors that are barriers to research utilization. There is a need to develop and apply EBP training/education programs to find new evidence that might actually support previous practice for which nurses lack confidence. Guidelines that consider CHP task characteristics and barrier factors to research utilization should be developed.
