  • The purpose of this study is to develop an underground Building. Population tends to concentrate in large cities. In result, the cities lacks housings. Underground space may be a attractive space by being able to gain alternative energy and get a cheap site, protect environment at the same time. The earth or ground is a useful medium for a long-term heat source and storage of it's heat. Also the underground space has the status of stabilization, the lower heating load and the similar heat transfer coefficient of the inside wall surface comparing to that of residential space. Utilization of underground space has many advantages to cope with lack of building sites and energy conservation, etc. As a result, it is expected to provide a useful information for the practical use of Underground building.

  • Understanding the light environment in greenhouse cultivation and the light utilization characteristics of crops is important in the study of photosynthesis and transpiration. Also, as the plant grows, the form of light utilization changes. Therefore, this study aims to develop a light extinction coefficient model reflecting the plant growth. To measure the extinction coefficient, five pyranometers were installed vertically according to the height of the plant, and the light intensity by height was collected every second during the entire growing season. According to each growth stage in the early, middle, and late stages, the difference between the top and bottom light intensity tended to increase to 69%, 72%, and 81%. When leaf area index and plant height increased, the extinction coefficient decreased, and it showed an exponential decay relationship. Three-dimensional model reflecting the two growth indexes, the paraboloid had the lowest RMSE of 1.340 and the highest regression constant of 0.968. Through this study, it was possible to predict the more precise light extinction coefficient during the growing period of plants. Furthermore, it is judged that this can be utilized for predicting and analyzing photosynthesis and transpiration according to the plant height.

  • Kinetic data for the acid phase anaerobic digestion were presented in this study and the constants were determined with acid production rate and gas production rate. Process models based on continuous culture theory were used to describe the characteristics of the acid forming microorganisms and to enable further development toward utilization of the process in a more rational manner. Acid phase digestion can be separated with appropriate manipulation of hydraulic retention time in anaerobic digestion. Kinetic analysis of data from the various hydraulic retention times using a phase specific model obtained form the acid phase indicated maximum specific growth rate of 0.40/h, saturation constant of 2,000mgCOD.$\ell$, yield coefficient of 0.35 mgVSS/msCOD utilized and decay constant of 0.04/h for the acid production rate. Similar analysis of data for the gas production rate indicated maximum specific growth rate of 0.003/h, saturation constant of 2,200mgCOD/$\ell$, yield coefficient of 0.035 mgVSS/mgCOD utilized and decay constant of 0.06/h.

  • There are BOD(Biochemical Oxygen Demand) and COD(Chemical Oxygen Demand) in the date of the water pollution in the pollution analysis, BOD and COD analysis the result of the analysis. The computer developed the program in the analysis. Went by BOD, the relation conversion equation type of COD, the control chart, the standard deviation, and the coefficient of correlation etc.. for the purpose of the development of the program. There is a purpose by which it is what coefficient of correlation in the development of this program or not if the value (X and Y) of unknow is understood. In the future, if this program is applied the utilization to not only the data is analyzed about the water pollution but also a lot of fields is proposed.

  • In this study, the characteristics of single-component and other sealant were analyzed to provide repair methods and effective utilization of sealant due to crack generation. Humidity studies have shown that acrylic silicone is effective in many areas of fluidity and temperature change, and that polysulfide-silicon is most effective in resistance to linear expansion coefficient and external pressure. Therefore, the difference between drying shrinkage and thermal expansion coefficient between various building materials and sealant, as well as the use of sealant, is analyzed, and construction methods derived accordingly, and prevention of defects are considered to be part of the construction project.

  • This study describes the results of Coefficient Of Performance(COP) analysis by cycle simulation for two types of absorption-compression hybride cycle using the water/Lithium Bromide solution pair, These types are basic hybride systems introducing a mechanical compression process into the refrigerant vapor phase of the single effect absorption cycle. In absorption-compression hybrid cycles, coefficient of performance is improved compared with absorption cycle. Hybride cycle Type ll is considered as a key technology to support energy utilization system, given its capability of utilizing waste heat to drive system with a high level of efficiency.

  • For the influence of the propagation law of stress wave at the coal-rock interface during the pre-blasting of the top coal in top coal mining, the ANSYS-LS/DYNA fluid-solid coupling algorithm was used to numerical calculation and the life-death element method was used to simulate the propagation of explosion cracks. The equation of the crushing zone and the fracturing zone were derived. The results were calculated and showed that the crushing radius is 14.6 cm and the fracturing radius is 35.8 cm. With the increase of the angles between the borehole and the coal-rock interface, the vibration velocity of the coal particles and the rock particles at the interface decreases gradually, and the transmission coefficient of the stress wave from the coal mass into the rock mass decreases gradually. When the angle between the borehole and the coal-rock interface is 0°, the overall crushing degree is about 11% and up to the largest. With the increase of the distance from the charge to the coal-rock interface, the stress wave transmission coefficient and the crushing degree of the coal-rock are gradually decreased. At the distance of 50 cm, the crushing degree of the coal-rock reached the maximum of approximately 12.3%.

  • Concerning about global warming due to emission of greenhouse effect gas like C02 and depletion of fossil fuels have been spreading. So the need for solar energy utilization is increased. It is essentially important to make efforts to reduce usage of fossil energy resources. In this study, we analyzed the correlation between climatic elements and the photovoltaic power generation. Cloud cover of the correlation coefficient was 0.93. The order of the correlation coefficient was average temperatures, hours of sunshine duration of sunshine and the humidity. To accurately analyze of the degree of correlation for the photovoltaic power generation, additional research about climatic elements that show a high correlation is needed.

  • This research aimed to investigate the relationship between meat quality and muscle-to-fat ratio in specific cuts of pork (pork belly and Boston butt) utilizing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Twenty-eight pigs were selected, and 24 hours post-slaughter, pork belly and Boston butt samples were individually extracted from the left half carcass for MRI assessment. The MRI scans were reviewed using the Picture Archiving and Communications System. Muscle and fat volumes in the pork belly and Boston butt from the cross-sectional images captured by MRI were estimated using Vitrea workstation version 7. Subsequently, these data were processed using Vitrea post-processing software to automatically determine the volumes, measured in milliliters (mL). Additionally, a three-dimensional reconstruction of the organ being studied was generated. The relationship between regions (pork belly and Boston butt) was assessed using Pearson's correlation coefficient, and statistical analysis was conducted using Graph Pad Prism 8. The muscle-to-fat ratio determined by MRI for pork belly was 1 : 0.64, whereas for Boston butt it was 1 : 0.35. Results of comparing the muscle-fat ratio, the correlation coefficient between pork belly and Boston butt was found to be 0.6127 (R2 = 0.3754, p < 0.001) based on MRI analysis. As a result of measuring the muscle-to-fat ratio using MRI as a non-destructive approach, there was a positive correlation between the muscle-to-fat ratios of pork belly and Boston butt.
