  • In evolutionary algorithm, there exist various models for the evolution of the population with respect to schemes and strategies for reproduction. In the application of the algorithm to a specific problem, one model suitable to the problem is to be properly chosen and a program expert or a software is needed to help implement and test a designed algorithm. In this study, the software for simple evolutionary algorithms(SEA) with one population is developed. The software is designed as an application framework type, so that it may be friendly, allow users to add some program, and operate under the environment of Windows. For this, hierarchical classes for components of SEA are first designed by means of an object-oriented approach and then a library for SEA is built by them. With the library, developed is an application framework that can generate a frame code for an application program. The software proposed here can be used as a generalized tool for solving problems in a wide range of domains.

  • This study investigates Japanese-made Chinese Characters in JIS X 0212-1990(Code of the Su n.0, pplementary Japanese Graphic Character Set for Information Interchange). As a results of detailed investigation, it is found that the number of Japanese-made Chinese Characters in su n.0, pplementary set reaches to 69 characters. Among them, 29 characters are not listed even in the best known chinese character dictionary [대한화사전]. 30 characters are found in the chinese character dictionaries published in Korea, while 39 characters are not found in any of those dictionaries. The distinctive characteristic of Japanese-made Chinese characters is that those chinese characters are made in order to name the things, such as fishes, birds, trees, which do not have Chinese-made Chinese Characters.

  • The concept of a "switching language " between different indexing languages and information retrieval systems has been discussed since the mid-1960s. Some preliminary investigates into the feasibility of switching between mediating tool yielded positive results. The Broad system of ordering(BSO) , a general classification scheme for information exchange and switching, has been under development as a joint FID/UNESCO project since 1973. The purpose of this study is to find out the origin, development, definition, and principle of BSO. The results of the study can be summarized as follows: (1) BSO is a switching language for the purpose of interconnection of information system which is located different regions, or using different indexing languages. (2) BSO is in effect, fully faceted and broad classification system. (3) BSO is not only a subject code but also an ordering system. (4) BSO can be used information retrieval system because the notation of composite subjects is formed by combining notation. (5) BSO has to some extent sacrificed brevity by leaving large unused notational gap for future use. (6) The structure of the scheme is in no way dependent upon the notation. notation.

  • A procedural interface libary for IEEE Verilog 1364-2001 is developed. The lexer and scanner are developed to handle “Verilog-2001” which is the first major update to the Verilog language since its inception in 1984. Also the newly developed XML intermediate format for Verilog-2001 is Presented in the paper. By using the XML intermediate, it allows the portable and scalable development of various kinds of applications. The XML DTD(Document Type Definition) of Verilog is defined and the corresponding XML intermediate format is developed. The paper describes example application of code rule checker which is built using the language interface library.

  • Framework has constructive and extendable code. It is consist of the variable design collections. In the aspect of the classes's collection, it is similar to the class library. but it is different to provide the architecture which is possible to develop the application rather than the collection of the simple classes. In framework it is very important factor to develop and control the component library. In this paper, we design the usable component model through defining the meta-relation between components and proposed the sample case using this model.

  • We present the status of the development of a Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) parameter estimation (PE) pipeline for compact binary coalescences (CBCs) with the Japanese KAGRA gravitational-wave (GW) detector. The pipeline is included in the KAGRA Algorithm Library (KAGALI). Basic functionalities are benchmarked from the LIGO Algorithm Library (LALSuite) but the KAGRA MCMC PE pipeline will provide a simpler, memory-efficient pipeline to estimate physical parameters from gravitational waves emitted from compact binaries consisting of black holes or neutron stars. Applying inspiral-merge-ringdown and inspiral waveforms, we performed simulations of various black hole binaries, we performed the code sanity check and performance test. In this talk, we present the situation of GW observation with the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition to preliminary PE results with the KAGALI MCMC PE pipeline, we discuss how we can optimize a CBC PE pipeline toward the next observation run.

  • A 69-group cross section library consisting of more than 130 materials was generated for thermal reactor applications using the NJOY nuclear data processing system and the recent version of evaluated nuclear data files available from IAEA Nuclear Data Section. The multigroup library was validated through the analysis of various criticality experiments and depletion results of PWR. When used with the WIMS-KAERI code, the average $K_{eff}$ obtained for 47 uranium-oxide and 41 uranium metal fueled critical configurations is 0.9997 with a standard deviation of 0.69 percent. The calculated burnup dependent isotopic inventories of uranium and plutonium generally show good agreement with measured values obtained from depleted PWR pins.s.

  • Transport lattice codes require the resonance integral tables for the resonant nuclides where the resonance integral is a function of the background cross section and can be prepared through a special program solving the slowing down equation. In case the cross section libraries do not include the resonance integral table for the resonant nuclides, the computational prediction produces a large error. We devised a new method using a Monte Carlo calculation for the effective resonance cross sections to solve this problem provisionally. We extended this method to obtain the resonance integral table for general purpose. The MCNP code is used for the effective resonance integrals and the LIBERTE code for the effective background cross sections. We modified the HELIOS library with the effective cross sections and the resonance integral tables obtained by the newly developed Monte Carlo method, and performed sample calculations using HELIOS and LIBERTE. The results showed that this method is very effective for the resonance treatment.

  • This paper describes a multi-mode LDPC decoder which supports 19 block lengths and 6 code rates of Quasi-Cyclic LDPC code for Mobile WiMAX system. To achieve an efficient implementation of 114 operation modes, some design optimizations are considered including block-serial layered decoding scheme, a memory reduction technique based on the min-sum decoding algorithm and a novel method for generating the cyclic shift values of parity check matrix. From fixed-point simulations, decoding performance and optimal hardware parameters are analyzed. The designed LDPC decoder is verified by FPGA implementation, and synthesized with a $0.18-{\mu}m$ CMOS cell library. It has 380,000 gates and 52,992 bits RAM, and the estimated throughput is about 164 ~ 222 Mbps at 56 MHz@1.8 V.

  • TORT is employed for fast neutron fluence calculation at the reactor pressure vessel. KORI Unit 1 reactor at cycle 1 is modeled for this calculation. Three-dimensional cycle averaged assembly power distributions for KORI Vnit 1 at cycle 1 are calculated by using the core physics code, NESTLE 5.0. The root mean square error is within 4.3% compared with NDR (Nuclear Design Report) far all burnup steps. The C/E (Calculated/Experimental) values for the in-vessel dosimeters distribute between 0.98 and 1.36. The most updated cross-section library. BUGLE-96 based on ENDF/B-VI is used for the neutron fluence calculation. The makimum fast neutron nun calculated on reactor pressure vessel for KORI Unit 1 operated for 411.41 effgctive full power days is 1.784x10$^{18}$ n/$\textrm{cm}^2$. The position of the maximum neutron fluence in RPV wall 1/4 T is nearby 60cm below the midplane at zero degree.
