제주시와 부산시 해안변의 경관훼손부분에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 해안경관은 초점경관과 경관흡수인자들에 의하여 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 부산시과 제주시의 해안경관을 조사한 결과 횟집수조 내 공급되는 해수를 인근 해역에 해수 파이프를 설치하여 이용하고 있으나 무질서하게 설치된 해수 인수관으로 인하여 아름다운 해안경관의 미관을 해치고 있으며 부산시나 제주시를 찾는 관광객들의 많은 불만을 야기시키고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 해수인수관의 색상과 질감 그리고 그것을 관찰하는 행인이나 관찰자에 의한 두 가지 정보에 의하여 해안경관이 결정됨을 알 수 있었다.

Various numerical models that have been developed for marine environments and applied to coastal waters in USA were introduced briefly. Inter alia, with regard to an integrated monitoring and modeling system, the main features and outline of system, the system architecture for data management and representation system, and the incorporation of internet based technology were described. An example of application of an integrated system to coastal waters was also presented. The prospective research works to improve the capabilities and to advance the functionality of an integrated monitoring, modeling and management system were suggested to be the instrumentations for various monitoring parameters, the new development and/or advancement of various numerical models, the relevant internet based technologies. etc..

The composition of water-friendly space in the port and harbour developments provides the accessibility to the sea and thus resting & recreational function of the local citizen, which should be treated importantly for the eco-friendly coastal development. However, the high demand on water-friendly space can induce another environmental problem because most port and harbour developments require marine reclamation and the water-friendly space are made up on the reclamation area. The present study analysed the problems and suggested matters to be considered in composing the water-friendly space of port and harbour developments. The study also established the management direction by site characteristics of port and harbour. In addition, we attempt to find a plan to avoid the water-friendly space composition with environmental damage and to secure the environmental and public soundness in site selection, land use and facilities plan based on case studies.

KOMPSAT-2 was successively launched on July 28,06. She carries Fine Spatial Resolution Sensor with three channels. It is 4m monochromatic and 1m panchromatic. The main purposes would derive fine urban map and digital elevation model(DEM).Therefore we extend to coastal environment monitoring using the adjacent effect of radiation due to an interaction of radiation between heterogeneous surface and atmosphere. With data analysis of ASTER on TERA, which is 15m resolution in visible and near infrared wavelengths, we found atmospheric aerosols were always large. Note that data analysis was limited in Nagoya bay, Lake Tahoe, California & La Pozuelos, La Picasa, Argentina. Thus this time we expect data analyses around isolated island and peninsula in west and south coast of Korea.
