Study about the Increase of Welfare, Medical Care and Education Effect in the River

  • The river technology of Japan was highly developed and achieved much result in flood protection, water use and the environment. Nowadays, the function which is requested to the river is changes because the society changes from growth to maturity. In this study, we suggest the functions of the river in the maturity society about future welfare, medical care and education based on field research of case study. In this research, we pay attention to the functions related with culture, one) function of healing, mental stress improvement and life, two) function of landscape, education and recreation. And this paper proposed the usage of the river where adopt to the times, a function and the value of "the river as the space". We made a questionnaire to 187 river managers, and 90% of answers wear positive for use the river as the medical aspect, health and the welfare. Furthermore, based on research result of hospitals and welfare facilities which used a river for their activities, we suggest to develop and use the river walk, to design a city and rivers as one, and to use many facilities which are located on river front more active, those are improve the new river functions.

Production cross sections of radionuclides in the proton induced reactions on natural iron with the proton energy of 57 MeV

  • The production cross sections of 55,56,57Co, 52gFe, 52g,54Mn, 51Cr, and 48V from the natFe (p,x) reactions were measured using a proton energy of 57 MeV at the Korea Multi-purpose Accelerator Complex (KOMAC) in Gyeongju, Korea. The conventional stacked-foil activation method and offline γ-ray spectroscopy were used to determine the excitation functions of proton induced nuclear reactions on iron. The measured excitation functions were compared with experimental data in literature and theoretical data from the TENDL-2021 library. The present data show generally good agreement with other experimental data, but discrepancies were found between the present data and the excitation functions of the TENDL-2021 library in the investigated energy range, except for 56,57Co and 54Mn.

  • This paper proposes a design of self-tuning fuzzy rules and membership functions based on genetic algorithms. Sub-optimal fuzzy rules and membership functions are found by using genetic algorithms. Genetic algorithms are used for tuning fuzzy rules and membership functions. A arbitrary speed trajectories are selected for the reference input of the proposed methods. Experimental results show the good performance in the DC motor control system with the self-tuning fuzzy controller based on genetic algorithms.

  • Transoral $CO_2$ laser microsurgery has been widely used for various laryngeal diseases. Laser cordectomy for the management of early laryngeal carcinoma has advantages with regards to oncologic results, preservation of laryngeal functions, morbidity and cost in comparison to those of open surgery or radiation therapy. $CO_2$ laser is also applicable to benign vocal fold lesions such as nodules, polyps, cysts, reinke's edema, granulomas, papillomas, hemangiomas and glottis webs. $CO_2$ laser is suitable for microsurgery because it has small focus size and hemostatic effect. We should also recognize the risks of $CO_2$ laser for safe use.

  • Lately, the Intelligent Electronic Device(ED) and the Power System Automation make subjects of discussions and studies. The IED uses microprocessors to practice a lot of functions. In the analog time, an equipment practices only one or two functions. But according to the development of microprocessor and digital technology, it can be implemented by using those kinds of state of the art technology and its function is become more and more powerful. Also, the proliferation of IED makes possible to construct power system automation. An automation of power system make more convenient, safe, and accurate power system. In this paper, a digital protective relay which is a kind of IED and the power automation system are briefly discussed with development and application cases.

  • The LCD TV has many variable functions for consumer. Low temperature driving below minus 20 degree is also one of key functions. Since LCD is not self-luminance device, it is needed backlight system. Recently EEFL(External Electrode Fluorescent Lamp) widely substitutes for CCFL(Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp). It is more cheaper, higher efficiency, and easy to drive parallel connection compared to CCFL. In this paper, several conditions for low temperature driving of EEFL are investigated and a new boost-half bridge inverter for low temperature driving is proposed. Mode analysis is described and experimental results is represented to verify validity of the proposed inverter.

  • Alzheimer's disease is believed to be associated with the loss of cholinergic activity in the cortex and hippocampus. In addition, it has been reported that the monoaminergic systems which also controls brain functions are disturbed in Alzheimer's patients. Based on these neurochemical background, a number of cholinesterase inhibitors including tacrine and its analogues and some monoamine oxidase inhibitors such as L-deprenyl and monoamine reuptake inhibitors have been developed for the treatment of dementia, but all of the known drugs are not truly effective. We thought that a drug that activates only one neurotransmitter system is not effective enough for the treatment of the symptoms associated with Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia, and we conceived that an agent enhancing both central cholinergic and monoaminergic functions would be useful for the treatment of dementia

  • This paper describes what an operational change detection tool requires and the software which was designed and developed according to the requirements. The top requirement for the application of the software to operational change detection was identified: minimization of false detections, missing detections and operational cost. In order to meet such a requirement, the software was designed with the concept that the ultimate decision and isolation of changes must be performed manually by visual interpretation and all automatic algorithms and/or visualization techniques must be defined as support functions. In addition, the modular structure of the proposed software enables the addition of a new support function with the minimum development cost and minimum change of the operational environment.

  • 본 논문에서는 최근에 디지털논리시스템의 회로 구현시에 적용되기 시작한 분할설계기법의 한가지 방법을 제안하였다. 기존의 디지털논리회로설계기법은 적용되는 개별소자를 어떻게 효과적이며 효율적으로 이용하느냐 하는 것이 큰 목적이었으나, 최근의 전자공학의 발달과 회로의 집적도가 높아짐에 따라서 디지털논리설계기법은 각각의 모듈을 구성하고 있는 소자들의 개별소자를 사용하는 것보다는 복잡하더라도 좀 더 경제적이고 다기능의 분할설계기법이 요구되고 있다. 이러한 내용을 근간으로 본 논문에서는 효과적인 분할기법을 이용한 스위칭함수구성의 한가지 방법을 제안하였다.

전단변형함수에 따른 역대칭 앵글-플라이 복합면재를 갖는 샌드위치판의 휨거동 평가 (Bending Assessment of Antisymmetric Angle-ply Composite Sandwich Plates with Various Shear Deformation Functions)

  • 본 연구에서는 Lagrangian/Hermite 보간함수를 혼합정식화한 유한요소법과 다양한 전단변형함수로 역대칭 앵글-플라이 샌드위치판 모델을 비교하였다. 제시된 전단변형함수는 판의 상하면에서 전단응력이 0이 되는 다항식, 삼각함수, 쌍곡삼각함수 및 지수함수로 구성되어 있다. 모든 전단변형함수는 해석해(Analytical solution)와 비교하였으며, 합리적인 정확도를 갖는 것으로 예측되었다. 특히, 지수형태의 전단변형함수가 복합면재를 갖는 샌드위치판 해석에 있어서 상대적으로 가장 우수한 결과를 보였다.
