OpenFOAMⓇ을 이용한 공압출기 다이 내부 유동 모사 및 가시화에 관한 수치 연구 (Numerical study of the flow smulation and visualization in the co-extrusion die using OpenFOAMⓇ)

  • It is of great importance to obtain the uniform layer thickness in the multi-layer co-extrusion processes. In the present study, the three-dimensional numerical simulation was carried out using the open source code named OpenFOAM(R) to understand the flow characteristics in the multi-layer die. In this numerical study, Multi-thin-layers were successfully computed depending on the number of repeating units. The generation mechanism for the multi-layer was numerically verified by the flow simulation and visualization in the co-extrusion die using OpenFOAM(R). The results suggested that the multi-layer has a divided and folded mechanism similar to the stretching and folding in the chaotic flow.

  • In this paper, we will introduce how we utilize 3D design model information at factory automation field with welding robot OLP system which is in using at out shipyard. At this area, so far, most of design information is used in NC data generation for steel cutting, but we can utilize 3D model information at more wide and complex area likes robot welding. Moreover, OpenGL which is a graphic library can be possible to verify robot NC data is correct or not through 3D simulation even if some one is not a expert at robot handling.

  • 국제해사기구(IMO: International Maritime Organization)의 선박 조종성능에 관한 기준이 발효되고, 최근 환경에 대한 관심이 지속적으로 증가하는 것과 더불어 항해 안전성, 특히 해난사고에 기인한 해양오염 방지에 관한 관심이 증가함에 따라 초기 설계단계에서부터 선박의 조종성능을 정확히 추정하는 것이 매우 중요하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 선박 조종성능을 추정할 수 있도록 선박 고유 조종 운동 특성을 선박운항에 관련한 항해센서와 함께 선박 운항에 동일한 운전 조건으로 구성하고 HILS(Hardware In the Loop Simulation)을 적용하여 선박조종 신뢰성을 향상 시킬 수 있는 방법을 제시한다.

  • 맥동 TEA $CO_2$ 레이저에서 나오는 레이저 빛살의 파형을 이론식의 전산 시늉값과 비교하여 보았다. 레이저는 정규전이 $10.6\mum$ P-20 전이선만 발진하므로 이 전이선에 더운띠 R-23 의 효과를 고려하여 계산하였다. 그 결과 출력파형의 꼴이 실험치와 잘 일치하였다.

  • 국방 모델링 및 시뮬레이션(Modeling & Simulation) 소프트웨어 분야에서 분산 시뮬레이션 기술표준인 HLA(High Level Architecture)의 적용이 늘어나고 있으며, 시뮬레이션 요소의 재사용성 및 신뢰성 확보를 위한 개발 프레임워크 제공이 핵심기술로 떠오르고 있다. 특히, 시뮬레이션을 위한 공통 서비스를 제공하는 M&S 프레임워크가 개발되었다. 또한, 가상의 시험 환경을 제공하기 위한 요소 중 시험환경의 구성을 위한 시나리오 모델이 있다. 본 논문에서는 시험 환경을 구성하기 위한 M&S 프레임워크 내의 시나리오의 스키마 설계에 대해서 기술한다.

  • This paper presents the results of an integrated navigation performance analysis for selecting the sensor of an unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) using Monte Carlo numerical simulation. An inertial measurement unit (IMU) and Doppler velocity log (DVL) are considered to build the integrated navigation system. The position error and price of the sensor are selected as performance indices to evaluate the volunteer integrated navigation systems. Monte-Carlo simulation is introduced to analyze the circular error probability (CEP) and its variance. Simulation results provide the proper sensor combination for integrated navigation in relation to the performance and price.

  • A process flowsheet simulation model based on ASPEN PLUS was developed to investigate the effect of co-gasification of coal and rice husk on the gasifier performance and pollutant emissions in IGCC power plant. The analyses were done for an 02-blown, pulverized gasifier using coal and rice husk as feedstock, parameter employed the blending ratio of rice husk in coal were investigated. From the simulation results, it was found that gaseous pollutant emissions were reduced substantially with the increase of the blending ratio of rice husk. An optimum range between 15% and 25% rice husk-to-coal ratio was found to be the optimum point in terms of gaseous pollutant emission per energy output for sui fur and nitrogen compounds.

불꽃점화 반켈 로터리 기관의 성능 시뮬레이션 (A Performance Simulation for Spark Ignition Wankel Rotary Engine)

  • Performance simulation for a Spark Ignition Wankel rotary Engine is presented in this paper. The volume of chamber at each eccentric shaft angle is evaluated by using geometric models of housing and rotor. A thermodynamic model which includes the first law of thermodynamics, combustion and convective heat transfer from chamber contents to surroundings is imployed. A thermochemical equilibrium model which considers 10 species(CO, $CO_2$, $O_2$, $H_2$, $H_2O$, OH, O, NO, $N_2$) in the burned gas region, is also employed. Four processes of gas exchange, compression, combustion and expansion are considered and the pressure, temperature and composition of chamber gas at each eccentric shaft angle in each process are computed in this performance simulation. This performance simulation must be useful for optimal design of Spark Ignition Wankel Rotray Engine with parametric study for various design parameters and operating conditions.

Cycle Simulation에 의한 가솔린기관의 성능과 배출물 예측 (The prediction of performance and emissions of a spark ignition engine by cycle simulation)

  • The prediction of performance and emissions is presented for a spark ignition engine. a two zone, zero-dimensional model was employed which included thermodynamics, combustion and hear transfer, and a kinetic model employed for NOx. The model was used to analyze the processes of compression, combustion and expansion. Cylinder pressures and temperatures were calculated as a function of crankangle as well as engine performance and emissions. Predictions made with the simulation were compared with experimental data from a four cylinder spark ignition engine. Calculated pressures and, Co and Co$_{2}$ concentrations showed acceptable quantitative agreement with data. But calculated No concentrations were slightly different. A parametric study of the effect of variations in speed, combustion duration and spark timing was carried out. This simulation can be useful for design of spark ignition engines.

THE CHANCES OF PERMAFROST INDUCED BY GREENHOUSE WARMING: A SIMULATION STUDY APPLYING MULTIPLE-LAYER GROUND MODEL

  • Many of past studies using physically based numerical climate models indicate that increases in atmospheric $CO_2$could enhance summer dryness over continental region in middle-high latitudes. However the models used in those studies do not take account of permafrost in high latitudes. We have carried out a set of experiments applying a version of global climate model that can reproduce realistic distribution of the permafrost. From the results, it is indicated that permafrost functions as a large reservoir in hydrologic cycle maintaining dry, hot summer over continents in northern middle-high latitudes, and that the $CO_2$warming would reduce this function by causing climatological thawing of permafrost, which would result in moister and cooler summer, and warmer winter in the same region. The present study indicates that an inclusion of very simple description of soil freezing process can make a large difference in a model simulation.
