하악 매복치 발치 후 $CO_2$ laser 조사의 임상적 효과 분석 (ANALYSIS OF CLINICAL EFFECT OF $CO_2$ LASER ILLUMINATION AFTER SURGICAL EXTRACTION OF IMPACTED 3RD MOLAR)

  • Dental laser provides many advantages to the clinicians. Those are excellent hemostatic effect, good operating sight, minimal adjacent tissue injury, reduction of postoperative swelling & pain, reduction of postoperative infection, reduction of scar tissue & contraction, etc. The purpose of this study is to observe how these advantages work after surgical extraction of impacted third molar. From march 2000 to july 2000, we have randomly divided the patients who had been surgically extracted unilateral impacted third molar into two groups. The first group comprised $CO_2$ laser illumination with 3 watts, defocusing & continuous mode, rotating motion for about 3 minutes after finishing of surgical extraction & suture. The other group patients were not irradiated. The medications in two groups were same. We measured pain, swelling and trismus three times(pre-operation, first day after operation, and 7th day after operation). The number of the patients who had measured three times all are 64, laser irradiated groups are 36 and non-irradiated groups are 28. The age ranged from 19 to 50, with a mean of 27.9 years. The operative time ranged from 3 minutes to 50 minutes, with a mean of 12.1 minutes. In the $CO_2$ laser group, the pain intensity of the 7th day after operation was still increased significantly comparing with that of the pre-operation and the distance which were measured for the swelling was different significantly. In the other group, the mouth opening limitation was still decreased significantly.

  • 점액종은 점액소를 함유한 낭종으로서, 인접 조직으로 선분비물이 유출되거나 소타액선관이 폐쇄되어서 형성된다. 다른 질환과의 감별진단 후 완전히 낭종을 제거해야만 완전 치유가 이루어지며, 절개 배농이나 흡입은 단지 일시적인 방법일 뿐 반드시 재발한다. $CO_2$ Laser를 이용한 구강영역에서의 치료 시 장점으로는 우수한 지혈효과, 우수한 시야확보, 인접조직 손상의 최소화 뿐만 아니라, 작은 혈관과 림프관을 봉쇄하는 능력이 있어 창상치유시 나타나는 염증과정의 초기 증상들을 차단하기 때문에 술후 감염 감소, 술 후 종창 및 동통 감소 등이 나타나며, 반흔조직 및 창상수축의 감소 등이 있다.

Synthesis of Cathode Materials LiNi1-yCoyO2 from Various Starting Materials and their Electrochemical Properties

  • The LiN $i_{l-y}$ $Co_{y}$ $O_2$ samples were synthesized at 80$0^{\circ}C$ and 85$0^{\circ}C$, by the solid-state reaction method, from the various starting materials LiOH, L $i_2$C $O_3$, NiO, NiC $O_3$, $Co_3$ $O_4$, CoC $O_3$, and their electrochemical properties are investigated. The LiN $i_{l-y}$ $Co_{y}$ $O_2$ pre-pared from L $i_2$C $O_3$, NiO, and $Co_3$ $O_4$ exhibited the $\alpha$-NaFe $O_2$ structure of the rhombohedral system (space group; R3m). As the Co content increased, the lattice parameters a and c decreased. The reason is that the radius of Co ion is smaller than that of Ni ion. The increase in da shows that two-dimensional structure develops better as the Co content increases. The LiN $i_{0.7}$ $Co_{03}$. $O_2$[HOO(800,0.3)] synthesized at 80$0^{\circ}C$from LiOH, NiO, and $Co_3$ $O_4$ exhibited the largest first discharge capacity 162 mAh/g. The size of particles increases roughly as the valve of y increases. The samples with the larger particles have the larger first discharge capacities. The cycling performances of the samples with the first discharge capacity larger than 150 mAh/g were investigated. The LiN $i_{0.9}$ $Co_{0.1}$ $O_2$[COO(850,0.1)] synthesized at 85$0^{\circ}C$ from L $i_2$C $O_3$, NiO, and $Co_3$ $O_4$ showed an excellent cycling performance. The sample with the larger first discharge capacity will be under the more severe lattice destruction, due to the expansion and contraction of the lattice during intercalation and deintercalation, than the sample with the smaller first discharge capacity. As the first discharge capacity increases, the capacity fading rate thus increases.increases.s.s.s.

전동식 운동기기의 부하방식에 따른 근력증진 효과 (Effect on Improvement of Muscle Strength for Loading Pattern using Electric Exercise Instrument)

  • This study is to compare muscle strength between isotonic exercise and isotonic & isokinetic exercise. Participants are 12-man and 10-woman whom they are healthy without medical history in shoulder, elbow and lumbar joint. We performed experiment total 4-weeks that exercise 3-days a week each exercise pattern. We measured shoulder, elbow and lumbar joint torque with BIODEX and circumference of muscle in upper arms once a week. The result showed that isotonic & isokinetic exercise pattern significantly more improved joint torque in shoulder, elbow, lumbar than isotonic exercise pattern. Because that isotonic & isokinetic exercise pattern supplied muscle strengthen and caused muscle contraction. This exercise pattern can be used new exercise training method for major athlete and normal people. Also this pattern can be used rehabilitation treatment.

Multifidus Thickness Comparison between the Effectiveness of Abdominal Bracing and Maximum Expiration Maneuvers in Lumbo-Pelvic Upright Sitting Posture

  • Background: Trunk flexor-extensor muscles' co-activation and upright posture are important for spinal stability. Abdominal bracing and maximal expiration are being used as exercises to excel torso co-contraction. However, no study has on comparison of the effect of this exercise on multifidus in the upright sitting posture. Objectives: This study aims to verify the effectiveness of abdominal bracing and expiration maneuvers in lumbo-pelvic upright sitting. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Eighteen healthy women were recruited for this study. The multifidus muscle thickness of all subjects was measured in three sitting conditions (lumbo-pelvic upright sitting, lumbo-pelvic upright sitting with abdominal bracing, and lumbo-pelvic upright sitting with maximum expiration) using ultrasound. One-way repeated measure analysis of variance was used for the evaluation. Results: Compared to lumbo-pelvic upright sitting, lumbo-pelvic upright sitting with abdominal bracing and lumbo-pelvic upright sitting with maximum expiration were associated with significantly increment of muscle thickness. There was no significant difference in muscle thickness between lumbo-pelvic upright sitting with abdominal bracing and lumbo-pelvic upright sitting with maximum expiration. Conclusion: Abdominal bracing and maximum expiration could be beneficial to increasing lumbar multifidus thickness in lumbo-pelvic upright sitting.

증발가스 재액화 드럼의 단열구조에 관한 실험적 연구 (The Experimental Study of Insulation Structure for BOG Re-liquefaction Drum)

  • 재액화 드럼은 과냉각된 LNG를 증발가스에 직접 분사하기 위해 상부에 스프레이 노즐을 설치하고, 기액 분리가 용이하도록 데미스터를 설치한 제품으로, 소형 재액화 설비의 재액화 효율을 높이기 위해 개발한 제품이다. 드럼의 상온 내압기밀시험에서는 설계압력의 1.5배 이상의 압력에서도 누설(Leak)이 없었으나, 단열성능시험 중 온도변화에 따른 수축/팽창으로 인해 볼트풀림 현상이 발생하였다. 제품의 지속적인 사용을 위해 플랜지 결합부의 단열 시공은 탈부착이 가능하도록 개발하였으며, 기존 단열과의 열침입량 비교 결과 드럼 내 유입 유량 대비 매우 미미함을 확인하였다.

족관절 근육의 전운동 시간과 전기역학적 지연 분석: 앉은 자세와 선 자세의 비교 (Analysis of Premotor Time and Electro-Mechanical Delay of Ankle Joint Muscles: A Comparison between Sitting and Standing Postures)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare premotor time(PMT) and electro-mechanical delay(EMD) between sitting and standing posture. Twenty four healthy young subjects(12 women and 12 men) participated in this study. Subjects were instructed to perform maximal, voluntary, isometric contraction of ankle muscle(tibialis anterior and gastrocnemius muscles) in reaction to auditory stimulus. PMT and EMD, calculated from stimulus, EMG and torque profile were compared between sitting and standing postures. As statistical analysis, paired t-test was performed to assess difference between sitting and standing posture. In both tibialis anterior and gastrocnemius muscles, EMD was found to be significantly longer for standing than sitting. However, PMT in standing posture was longer than that in sitting posture only in gastrocnemius muscles. These result indicate that increased reaction time, particularly, increased EMD of ankle muscles in standing posture may be caused by co-contraction of ankle muscles for postural control in standing posture.

관동화전탕액(款冬花煎湯液)이 기관지평골근(氣管支平滑筋)에 미치는 영향(影響) (FARFARAE FLOS INHIBITS HISTAMINE-INDUCED CONTRACTILE RESPONSES OF AIRWAY SMOOTH MUSCLE)

  • Farfarae Flos, a traditional herb medicine, has been used in Korea and China for many centuries as a treatment for respiratory disease. The purpose of the present study was to determine the effect of Farfarae Flos on histamine-induced tracheal smooth muscle contraction in rats. Guinea pigs(500g, female) were killed by CO2 exposure and a segment (8-10mm) of the thoracic trachea from each guinea pig was cut into equal segments and mounted 'in pairs' in a tissue bath. Contractile force was measured with force displacement transducers under 0.5g loading tension. The dose of histamine which evoked 50% of maximal response (ED50) was obtained from cumulative dose response curves for histamine (10-7-10-4M). Contractions evoked by histamine(ED50) were inhibited significantly by Farfarae Flos. The mean percent inhibition was 8.7% after 1.5mg/ml Farfarae Flos, and 33.5% (p<0.05) after 5.0mg/ml Farfarae Flos. Propranolol (10-7M) slightly but significantly attenuated the inhibitory effects of Farfarae Flos. Following treatment with propranolol, the mean percent inhibition caused by 5.0mg/ml Farfarae Flos. Indomethacin and methylene blue (10-7M) did not significantly alter the inhibitory effect of Farfarae Flos. These results indicate that Farfarae Flos can relax histamine-induced contraction of guinea pig tracheal smooth muscle, and that this inhibition involves, in part, symphathetic nerve system.

슬관절 각도에 따른 교각운동이 체간근 활성도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Trunk Muscle Activity on Bridging Exercise According to the Knee Joint Angle)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to assess the effects of the trunk muscle activity on bridging exercise according to the knee joint angle. Methods : Twenty-five healthy adults volunteered to participate in this study. Subjects were required to complete following four bridging exercises; knee joint flexion $120^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$, $60^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$. Surface electromyography from selected trunk muscles was normalized to maximum voluntary isometric contraction. Muscle activity was measured by QEMG-4 system(LXM 3204, Laxtha Korea). A repeated measures of one-way ANOVA with post-hoc Bonferroni's correction was used to determine the influence of bridging exercise on muscle activity for each muscle and descriptive statistics was used to determine local/global muscle ratio. Results : The internal oblique of bridging exercises $120^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$ showed significantly(p<.05). The erctor spinae of all bridging exercises showed significant excepted between $60^{\circ}$ and $45^{\circ}$(p<.05). Median of internal oblique/rectus abdominis ratio of $120^{\circ}$ was 4.41, $90^{\circ}$ was 3.94, $60^{\circ}$ was 3.58, $45^{\circ}$ was 3.39. Median of internal oblique/external oblique ratio of $120^{\circ}$ was 2.66, $90^{\circ}$ was 2.43, $60^{\circ}$ was 2.87, $45^{\circ}$ was 2.64. Conclusion : Angular motion decreasing with knee joint flexion made erector spinae activation increase. on the other hand, as decreasing abdomen muscle activation, the more performing motor learning is required for abdomen muscle strength and co-contraction for the trunk stabilization.

Lidocaine에 의해 억제된 심근수축력에 대한 Fructose의 영향 (The Effects of Fructose on Contractility of Isolated Rat Atria Depressed with Lidocaine)

  • Lidocaine의 심근수축력 억제 작용에 관한 기전연구 일환으로 lidocaine에 의해 수축력이 감소된 흰쥐 적출심방에 대한 fructose의 효과를 검토하였다. Fructose는 기질제거에 의해 감소된 적출심방의 수축력을 현저히 증가시켰으며, 30mM에서 최대 증가효과를 나타냈다. Krebs-Ringer glucose용액에 현수한 적출심방의 수축력은 0.1mM lidocaine에 의해 약 50%의 감소를 나타냈으며, 30mM fructose의 투여는 이 감소된 수축력을 현저히 증가 시켰다. Lidocaine 억제심방에 대한 fructose의 실험 성적은 pyruvate나 acetate에서 얻은 실험성적과 유사하였다. 그러나 같은 농도의 fructose는 저 calcium(1/2)농도의 Krebs-Ringer glucose medium에서 감소(약 50% 감소)된 적출심방의 수축력을 증가시키지 못하였다. 이상의 결과에서 lidocaine은 심근내 포도당 대사를 해당과정에서 억제한다는 가능성을 재확인하고 있으며, 나아가서 lidocaine은 해당과정의 phosphofructokinase step 이전의 초기단계에서 억제하고 있을 가능성을 시사하고 있다.
