Al-Fe 이종재료 접합 계면에서의 크랙 거동 (Behaviors of the interface cracks during an Al-Fe dissimilar joining)

  • The $CO_2$ laser cladding was conducted on an AC2B alloy with feeding Fe-based powders. A powder feeding rate (PFR) and a travel velocity were related with the cracks adjacent to the Fe/Al interface. Preheating temperature was varied to study the interface crack. Preheating to $250^{\circ}C$ during the laser cladding suppressed the interface crack ratio (ICR). The ICR was limited for the single pass clad and the reciprocating test for the slide wear was conducted on an overlay cladding experiment. Comparing with no overlap overlay, the overlay clad with 50% overlap showed better wear resistance.

  • 자동차엔진의 피스톤-링에 응용할 목적으로 플라즈마 용사 기술로 피막한 몰리부덴늄 및 코발트 합금 피막 층의 마모성질을 비교 조사하였다. Ball-on-disc 형태의 마모기를 사용하여 상온 및 대기 중에서의 마모 및 마찰거동에 대하여 조사하였다. 용사 층의 미세경도 시험도 행하였으며, 용사층의 결정구조를 알기 위해 용사층을 x-선 회절 방법으로 분석하였다. 주사전자현미경을 사용하여 마모면의 표면 형상을 관찰하였다. 여러 용사조건으로 만든 용사층의 미세경도치와 마모거동과의 상관관계를 이해하려고 시도하였다. 주사전자현미경과 EDX를 사용하여 마모시 화학반응층과 마모기구를 규명하고자 하였다. 모리부덴늄 및 코발트 합금 분말을 각각 플라즈마 용사층의 단면을 관찰하여 마모기구을 비교하였다.

유기용제 함침법을 통한 알루미늄 다이캐스팅의 미세결함 및 기밀성 평가 (Evaluation of Micro-defects and Air Tightness of Al Die-casting by Impregnation of Organic Solvent)

  • 본 연구에서는 고압 다이캐스팅 (High pressure die-casting, HPDC)을 통해 알루미늄 합금 (상업코드: ALDC12종)으로 수소 자동차용 부품 (Air pressure control valve housing, APCVH)을 제조하였으며 주조품의 기밀성을 향상시키기 위해 유기 함침액을 개발하였다. 개발된 2종류의 유기 함침액 (INNO-series, 한국)과 상용 합침액 (P601, 일본)을 사용하여 함침공정 조건 및 후 처리에 따른 미세결함과 기밀성을 비교 평가하였다. 컴퓨터 단층촬영 및 3차원 X-선 현미경 분석을 통해 함침된 알루미늄 주조품의 결함제어 및 성능 개선을 확인하였다. 또한, 함침 공정 후 기밀성 시험에서 INNO-01이 함침된 시료의 경우 성능 개선율이 70%인 것으로 확인하였다. 따라서, 개발된 유기 함침액은 상용 가능하며 다이캐스팅 제품의 기밀성 향상에 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다.

Fe-X%Mn-5Cr-5Co-4Si 합금 리본의 변태특성 및 형상기억능에 미치는 열처리 영향 (Influence of Heat Treatment on Transformation Characteristics and Shape Recovery in Fe-X%/Mn-5Cr-5Co-4Si Alloy Ribbons)

  • The change of ribbon geometry, microstructure and shape recovery with Mn contents, wheel speed and various annealing temperature have been studied in Fe-X%Mn-5Cr-5Co-4Si (X%=15, 20, 24) shape memory alloy (SMA) ribbons rapidly solidfied by single roll chill-block melt-spinning process. The thickness and width of melt-spun ribbons are reduced, results in refining and uniformalizing grains with increasing wheel speed. In the ribbons melt-spun at a wheel speed of 15m/sec, both ${\varepsilon}$ and ${\alpha}^{\prime}$martensites are formed in ribbon 1 (15.5wt%Mn), while only ${\varepsilon}$ martensite is revealed in ribbon 2 (20.2wt%Mn) and ribbon 3 (23.5wt%Mn). The volume fraction of ${\varepsilon}$ martensite is decreased with increasing Mn contents, and those of ${\varepsilon}$ as well ${\alpha}^{\prime}$martensites are increased due to thermal stress relief and grain growth with increasing annealing temperature. Ms temperatures of the ribbons 1, 2 and 3 are fallen with increasing Mn contents. $M_s$ temperatures of the ribbons 1, 2 and 3 annealed at $300^{\circ}C$ for 3 min are risen abruptly, but are nearly constant even at higher annealing temperature, i.e., 400, 500 and $600^{\circ}C$ for 3 min. Shape recovery of the ribbons 1, 2 and 3 increased 30%, 52% and 69% with Mn contents, respectively. Shape recovery of ribbon 1 (15.5wt%Mn) formed ${\varepsilon}$ and ${\alpha}^{\prime}$martensites decreased because of the presence of ${\alpha}^{\prime}$martensite but those of ribbon 2 (20.2wt%Mn) and ribbon 3 (23.5wt%Mn) formed ${\varepsilon}$ martensite increased with increasing annealing temperature.

$Fe_{87}Zr_{7}B_{5}Ag_{1}$ 비정질합금의 연자기 특성 (The Magnetic Properties of $Fe_{87}Zr_{7}B_{5}Ag_{1}$(at.%) Amorphous Alloy)

  • $Fe_{87}Zr_{7}B_{6}$(at.%)조성의 합금에 Fe에 대해 비고용원소인 Ag를 B와 1.0at.% 치환한 $Fe_{87}Zr_{7}B_{5}Ag_{1}$(at.%) 조성의 비정질리본을 액체급냉법으로 제조하여, 연자 기특성을 조사하였다. 급냉응고된 비정질리본의 연자기특성을 향상시키기 위하여 $300~600^{\circ}C$에서 $50^{\circ}C$ 간격으로 열처리한 후, 비정질리본의 연자기특성 및 미세조직의 변화를 조사하였다. 열처리방 법은 진공분위기에서 무자장중 열처리하여 상온까지 노냉했다. $Fe_{87}Zr_{7}B_{5}Ag_{1}$ 비 정질리본을 $400^{\circ}C$에서 1시간 등온열처리하였 때, 보자력$(H_{c})$ 15 mOe, 초투자율$(\mu_{i})$ 288,000(1kHz, 2mOe) 그리고 철손$(W_{c})$ 50 W/kg(100kHz, 1,000G)이라는 Co계 비정질합금에 필적할 수 있는 대단히 우수한 연자성재료가 개발되었다. 이와 같은 우수한 연자기특성은 Fe 와 비고용원소인 Ag 를 소량 첨가함에 따라 열처리에 의해 2~3 nm 크기의 미세한 Fe-rich cluster 형성에 따른 전기저항의 증가, 자왜의 감소 그리고 자구(domain) 크기의 감소에 기인한다고 생각된다.

임피던스법을 적용한 연료전지의 성능평가 (Analysis on the Fuel Cell Performance by the Impedance Method)

  • Fuel cell is a modular, high efficient and environmentally energy conversion device, it has become a promising option to replace the conventional fossil fuel based electric power plants. The high temperature fuel cell has conspicuous feature and high potential in being used as an energy converter of various fuel to electricity and heat. Corrosions in molten electrolytes and the electric conductivity across the oxide scale have crucial characteristics. When molten salts are involved, high temperature corrosions become severe. In this sense, corrosions of alloys with molten carbonates have the most severe material problems. Systematic investigation on corrosion behavior of Fe/21Cr/Ti or Al alloy has been done in (62+38)mol% (Li+K)$CO_3$ melt at $650^{\circ}C$ using the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy method. It was found that the corrosion current of these Fe-based alloys decreased with increasing Al or Ti. And Al addition improved the corrosion resistance of this type of specimen and more improvement of corrosion resistance was observed at the specimen added with Al.

  • Information and communication technologies are developing rapidly as IC chip size becomes smaller and information processing becomes faster. With this development, digital circuit technology is being widely applied to mobile phones, wireless LANs, mobile terminals, and digital communications, in which high frequency range of GHz is used. In high-density electronic circuits, issues of noise and EMC(Electro-Magnetic Compatibility) arising from cross talk between interconnects or devices should be solved. In this study, sheet-type electromagnetic wave absorbers that cause electromagnetic wave attenuation are fabricated using composites based on soft magnetic metal powder and silicon rubber to solve the problem of electromagnetic waves generated in wireless communication products operating at the frequency range of 2.4 GHz. Sendust(Fe-Si-Al) and carbonyl iron(Fe-C) were used as soft magnetic metals, and their concentrations and sheet thicknesses were varied. Using soft magnetic metal powder, a sheet is fabricated to exhibit maximum electromagnetic attenuation in the target frequency band, and a value of 34.2dB(99.9 % absorption) is achieved at the target frequency.

  • 현재 사용되고 있는 생체용 금속재료로 스테인레스강(SUS 316), Co-Cr강, 순수 Ti, Ti-6Al-4V이 많이 사용되고 있으며 그 중에서도 특히 Ti이 각광을 받고 있다. 그러나 순수한 Ti은 생체적합성과 내식성은 좋은 반면 기계적 성질이 합금에 비해 뒤떨어지고, Ti-6Al-4V은 V의 세포독성이 지적되고 있어 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 세포독성이 없는 함금원소를 Ti에 첨가한 새로운 합금을 설계하였다. 그 중에서 Ti-20Zr-3Nb-3Ta-0.2Pd-1In과 Ti-5AI-4Zr-2.5Mo은 기계적 성질도 뛰어나고 우수한 전기화학적 부식특성을 가지고 있었다.

  • One of display trends today is development of high pixel density. To get high PPI, a small size of pixel must be developed. RGB pixel is arranged by evaporation process which determines pixel size. Normally, a fine metal mask (FMM; Invar alloy) has been used for evaporation process and it has advantages such as good strength, and low thermal expansion coefficient at low temperature. A FMM has been manufactured by chemical etching which has limitation to controlling the pattern shape and size. One of alternative method for patterning FMM is laser micromachining. Femtosecond laser is normally considered to improve those disadvantages for laser micromachining process due to such short pulse duration. In this paper, a femtosecond laser drilling for thickness of 16 ㎛ FMM is examined. Additionally, we introduce experimental results for controlling taper angle of hole by vibration module adapted in laser system. We used Ti:Sapphire based femtosecond laser with attenuating optics, co-axial illumination, vision system, 3-axis linear stage and vibration module. By controlling vibration amplitude, entrance and exit diameters are controllable. Using vibrating objective lens, we can control taper angle when femtosecond laser hole drilling by moving focusing point. The larger amplitude of vibration we control, the smaller taper angle will be carried out.

철계 비동일분율 고엔트로피 합금의 인장 강도에 미치는 소결 조건 영향 (Effect of Sintering Condition on Tensile Strength of Fe-based Non-equiatomic High Entropy Alloy)

  • We fabricate the non-equiatomic high-entropy alloy (NE-HEA) Fe49.5Mn30Co10Cr10C0.5 (at.%) using spark plasma sintering under various sintering conditions. Each elemental pure powder is milled by high-energy ball milling to prepare NE-HEA powder. The microstructure and mechanical properties of the sintered samples are investigated using various methods. We use the X-ray diffraction (XRD) method to investigate the microstructural characteristics. Quantitative phase analysis is performed by direct comparison of the XRD results. A tensile test is used to compare the mechanical properties of small samples. Next, electron backscatter diffraction analysis is performed to analyze the phase fraction, and the results are compared to those of XRD analysis. By combining different sintering durations and temperature conditions, we attempt to identify suitable spark plasma sintering conditions that yield mechanical properties comparable with previously reported values. The samples sintered at 900 and 1000℃ with no holding time have a tensile strength of over 1000 MPa.
