Blackening on stone monuments is serious problem, because it is not only aesthetically unattractive, but also an important process in stone deterioration. Black surface layers contain often a large amounts of iron compound. Therefore it is assumed that besides another elements the iron have influence on blackening of surface. After the samples of black surface layers were collected from the stone monuments (Museumsinsel) in Berlin, Germany, especially in this study has been used Mossbauer spectroscopy in order to determine the valence and chemical composition of iron. Mineralogical and chemical analyses were carried out X-ray diffractormetry and X-ray fluorescence method on the black surface layer's samples and original stone samples. The origin of Iron compound in the black surface provides the important clue for the conservation work of stone monuments, like removing of black surface. To find it, black surface layer on white sandstone -it contains very small amount of iron compound- was compared with that on the red sandstone (Fe contains very small amount of iron compound- was compared with that on the red sandstone (Fe abundant). As a results, it is assumed that the iron in black layer on white sandstone is originated mainly from a surrounding environmental material and for the iron in black layer on the red sandstone is responsible the original stone. Even if black surface layer was removed from the red sandstone, some other conservation method should be studied beyond removing of black surface layer, because the iron can move continuously from the inner zone of original stone to surface area.

Recently price as an information clue on online shopping has become important and price dependency has been also increased. This study suggests the flow which customers experience on online shopping plays a leading role in a matter of revisiting intention, but price sensitivity has a possibility to decrease the flow on the basis of literature investigation. While telling the differences in types of shopping malls, this study also examines relationship verifications with price sensitivity, flow of internet shopping mall and revisiting intension. The results show the flow experience through temporal dissociation makes increase a revisiting intention. To the contrary, this study presents a price search dimension in price sensitivity has negative influence to each dimension of temporal dissociation, heightened enjoyment and curiosity and also the relationship between price importance and flow is rejected. In addition, this influence gets different results by internet auction, pure internet shopping mall, shopping mall which can show price comparisons. In the case of shopping mall which can show price comparisons, more price researches become less curiosities and more heightened enjoyments and curiosities get more revisiting intentions. In the internet auction's case, price search decreases a temporal dissociation and heightened enjoyment and improves a revisiting intention when a temporal dissociation and heightened enjoyment are increased. Price research reduces three types of flow dimensions such as a temporal dissociation, heightened enjoyment, and curiosity in the pure internet shopping mall. In addition, only heightened enjoyment affects to a revisiting intentions.

To investigate whether isoflavone genistein and daidzein could affect cancer cell viability, human colorectal HCT116 cells were incubated with genistein or daidzein in a dose-dependent manner. Genistein decreased cancer cell viability in a dose-dependent manner, whereas daidzein did not show dramatic cytotoxic effects. We also found that 71 genes were up-regulated more than 2-fold, whereas 64 genes were down-regulated more than 2-fold with 24 hr of $50{\mu}M$ genistein treatment by our previous microarray data. Among the up-regulated genes, we selected 3 genes (DKK1, ATF3 and NAG-1) and performed RT-PCR to confirm microarray data. The results of RT-PCR were highly correlated with those of the microarray experiment. In addition, we investigated whether a combination treatment of genistein and daidzein could affect cancer cell viability. Surprisingly, the combination treatment did show synergistic cytotoxic effects detected by MTS assay. The results of RT-PCR and real-time PCR indicate that a combination of genistein and daidzein can synergistically induce NAG-1 expression in HCT116 cells. This result implies that NAG-1 induction is highly associated with synergistic cytotoxic effects induced by a combination treatment of genistein and daidzein. Overall, these results may provide a clue in explaining the anti-cancer activity of soy bean in human colorectal cancer.

Purpose : To analyze the clinical behaviors and survivorship of metastatic bone tumors. Materials and Methods : One hundred and ninty-eight metastatic bone tumors had been diagnosed from January 1982 to December 1998. Age and sex distribution, primary cancer types. metastatic sites, duration from diagnosed of primary tumors to bony metastases and survivorship were analysed. Results : Mean age was 57(24~86) years old. Lung(32.3%) and breast(16.2%) cancers were two most common primary foci. The spines was the most common site of metastases especially lumbar region(38%). Survivorship analysis was done in one hundred and fifteen patients who had been followed up. The mean survival period was 15.3 months. The survivorship of hepatoma(7.1 Mons), lung(8.72 Mons) and renal cell(4.8 Mons)cancers was relatively shorter and breast cancer(54.1 Mons) longest. Conclusion : The mean age of metastatic bone tumors of this study was older than the past reports. The axial skeletons especially spine was predominant metastatic site. The survivorship of metastatic bone tumor decreased sharply as time goes by, so early diagnosis is clue for longer survival after bony metastases.

The purpose of this study is to elucidate the traits of the spatial orientation of urban residents. The analysis materials are the 110 rough maps which have been collected for the last ten years in Yeonsugu, Incheon metropolitan. The urbanites' spatial orientation are analysed from an aspect of the orientation elements and the orientation frames respectively. As a result, the urban dwellers make use of five elements - path, node, district, landmark, and language clue for their spatial orientation. Again the orientation frames of the urban people are investigated in terms of locating and directing in space. In regard to the former, they tend relatively to depend on horizontal axes based on broad streets and to prefer to position at the center on coordinate system. With reference to the latter, they show to be north-at-the-top directed tendency and to hold higher proportion of exocentric perspective than egocentric. Consequently urban residents tend to form spatial orientation with using five spatial elements, leaning horizontal axis, positioning themselves at the central part of coordinates, directing toward north-at-the-top through exocentric perspective.

This study has classified development stages (Embryonic-Growth-Maturity) of mobile telecommunication industry based on Industry Life Cycle theory. There are two steps to be analyzed in this study, In the first step, cluster was investigated through cluster analysis using mobile density to categorize development stages of mobile telecommunication industry. In the second step, we compared on indexes of market structure, market efficiency and market performance to find out characteristics of each stage of development. The results are as follows. First, HHI is higher at embryonic stage than at growth and maturity stages, Second, ARPU(Average Revenue Per User) and RPM(Revenue Per Minute) are getting higher as the stages move on. Third, EBITDA margins, an index of market performance, is decreasing along the three stages. Finally, this study presents a clue to define the stage of development of mobile telecommunication industry and build a proper strategy for the market change.

Serum CA 125 is the most useful marker for monitoring patients with epithelial ovarian cancer. However, it can be elevated above normal level in a variety of conditions other than ovarian cancer such as endometriosis, pelvic inflammation disease, and other malignant or nonmalignant disorders, including pulmonary diseases. Recently, we experienced a case of bronchiectasis in which the serum CA 125 level was elevated, changing with the patient's condition. There was no evidence of underlying malignant disease on positron emission tomography or on gynecologic examination, including transvaginal ultrasonography. During follow-up for 14 months, we could not find any clue of malignant disease that could have been the cause of the elevated levels of serum CA 125. Elevated serum CA 125 level should be interpreted carefully according to the patient's clinical condition. In addition, our case suggests that CA 125 may be used as a surrogate marker for acute inflammatory status for chronic pulmonary diseases.

Familial hypokalemic periodic paralysis (HOKPP) is an autosomal dominant muscle disorder characterized by episodic attacks of muscle weakness with concomitant hypokalemia. Mutations in either a calcium channel gene (CACNA1S) or a sodium channel gene (SCN4A) have been shown to be responsible for this disease. The combination of sarcolemmal depolarization and hypokalemia has been attributed to abnormalities of the potassium conductance governing the resting membrane potential. To understand the pathophysiology of this disorder, we examined both mRNA and protein levels of delayed rectifier potassium channel genes, KCNQ3 and KCNQ5, in skeletal muscle fibers biopsied from patients with HOKOur results showed an increase in the cytoplasmic level of KCNQ3 protein in patients' cells exposed to 50 mM external concentration of potassium. However, mRNA levels of both channel genes did not show significant change in the same condition. Our results suggest that long term exposure of skeletal muscle cells in HOKPP patients to high extracellular potassium alters the KCNQ3 localization, which could possibly hinder the normal function of this channel protein. These findings may provide an important clue to understanding the molecular mechanism of familial hypokalemic periodic paralysis.

The movie WALL-E shows the Earth which has been overrun with garbage and devoid of plant and animal life, and humans who try to restore the ecosystem. The aim of this study is to find the implications of children's education with a detailed analysis of the movie's theme. The analysis method is the interpretive analysis model that is one of the qualitative methods of data analysis based on the concept of Wolcott. First, the Earth is an abandoned planet covered in trash: the Axiom is a haven for morbidly obese and indolent people. The main area of the earth's destruction, and the captain's cabin is the place to find a clue to awakening and change. Second, with the lapse of time, the Axiom becomes a ship allowing their return to earth. The Earth, recognized as their homeland, turns in to the land of hope when people return. Third, the cleaning robot Wall-E, as a main agent of change, has changed humans as well as itself. The results showed that we found nature-friendly development, destruction of nature, the criticism of modern civilization, the sanctity of life, ecological consciousness, coexistence, symbiosis and a win-win principle in our research.
