Traffic safety assessment is often accomplished by analyzing the number of crashes occurring in some geographic space over certain specific time duration. In this paper, we introduce a procedure that can efficiently analyze spatial and temporal changes in traffic crashes before-and-after implementation of a certain traffic controlling measure. For the analysis, crash frequency data before-and-after closing a major highway around St. Louis in Missouri was collected through Transportation Management System(TMS) database that is maintained by Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT). In order to identify any spatial and temporal pattern in crashes, each crash is pinpointed on a map using the dynamic segmentation in GIS. Then, the identified pattern is statistically confirmed using an analysis of variance table. The advantage of this approach is to easily assess spatial and temporal trend of crashes that are not readily attainable otherwise. The results from this study can possibly be applied in enhancing the highway safety assessment procedure. This paper also makes several suggestions for future development of a comprehensive transportation data system in Korea which is similar to MoDOT's TMS database.

Introduction: Maxillary posterior region, compared to the mandible or maxillary anterior region, has a thin cortical bone layer and is largely composed of cancellous bone, and therefore, it is often difficult to achieve primary stability. In such cases, sinus elevation with bone graft is necessary. Materials and Methods: In this research, 121 patients who had implant placement after bone graft were subjected to a follow-up study of 5 years from the moment of the initial surgery. The total survival rate, 5-year cumulative survival rate and the influence of the following factors on implant survival were evaluated; the condition of the patient (sex, age, general body condition), the site of implant placement, diameter and length of the implant, sinus elevation technique, closure method for osseous window, type of prosthesis and opposing teeth. Results: 1. The 5-year cumulative survival rate of total implants was 90.5%, there was no significant difference between sex, age, the site of implant placement, diameter and length of the implant, sinus elevation technique, and the type of opposing teeth. 2. Patients with diabetes mellitus < osteoporosis and smooth-surfaced machined group < hydroxyapatite (HA)-treated group and homogenous demineralized freeze dried allogenic bone (DFDB) bone graft only group had significantly lower survival rate. 3. With less than 4 mm of residual alveolar ridge height, lateral approach without closing the osseous window resulted in a significantly lower survival rate. 4. Restoration of a single implant showed a significantly lower survival rate, compared to cases where the superstructure was joined with several implants in the area. Conclusion: Patients with diabetes or osteoporosis need longer period of time for osseointegration compared to the normal, and the dentists must be prudent when choosing a surface treatment type and the bone graft material. Also, as the vertical dimension of the residual alveolar ridge can influence the result, staged implant placement should be considered when it seems difficult for the implant to gain primary stability from the residual bone with less than 4 mm of vertical dimension. It is recommended to obdurate the bone window and that the superstructure be connected with several impants in the peripheral area.

The coastal erosion and the look of a heap which are mainly occurred in the district along the coast are found for various forms such as the estuary closing, the estuary sand bar the development of the coast sand bar, and the modification of coastline. Recently, due to the coastal development, these transformations have been intensified. The change of coast, which has been made slow progress is required long-term study on a searching examination of the root cause and a suggestion of a counter measure. In this research, ortho aerial photos were produced to analyze volumes of topographical alternations that have been progressed fer the long run, by 10s cycle from 1940s through 1990s, to compute accurate volumes of coastline variation, through a datum point and G.C.P (Ground Control Point). Also in this study, without respect to water level, the coastline variation was analyzed by using comparatively analyzed a Idlest land map, a cadastral map. And to analyze topographical variation volumes, the tidal station's materials was used under consideration f3r tide. Finally, topographical variation volumes are comparatively analyzed through surveying and sounding and a point of fine of aviation photographing was calculated and revised. After this research, by using ortho aerial photos, We can understand efficiency of these in computing volumes of variations of coastline by analyzing quantitatively erosion and look of a heap. Besides, in the future, these will be used for information gathering of the coastline integration control system.
This paper evaluated the economic feasibility of the life extension of Kori unit 1 and Wolsong unit 1 according to the types of the nuclear power plants (NPPs) and the life extension period comparing to the levelized costs of energy (LCOE) of the new NPPs, coal-fired plants (CFPs), and combined cycle gas turbine (CCGTs) which proposed in the $7^{th}$ Basic Plan for Electricity Supply and Demand. The economic feasibility of the life extension of NPPs using LCOE method is affected by the types of NPPs, lifetime extension periods, discount rate, and capacity factor. According to the analysis results, the pressurized light water reactor (PWR) is more economical than the pressurized heavy water reactor (PHWR). Comparing the economical efficiency between the life extension of NPPs and other alternatives, the operation of the PWR for 20 years is more economical than the one of new NPPs and CFPs. However, 20 years of life extension of PHWR is more economical than the CCGTs, but less economical than new NPPs and CFPs. In summary, the 20 years of life extension of the NPPs seems to be more, especially for the PWR, which is more cost effective than other generation alternatives. Therefore, the government policy of the life extension of NPPs need to be a selective approach that simultaneously considers both safety and economics rather than closing all NPPs.

The purpose of this study was to decide the diagnostic value of transmaxillary and transcranial projection in the evaluation of mandibular condyles. Five dry skulls with intact anatomic structure were selected for this study and the artificial osteophytes were attached to 9 different are as of the mandibular condyle. Ninety transcranial and forty-five transmaxillary radiographs were taken and then the radiographs were evaluated three times. The results were as follows; In transcranial radiographs, superocentral osteophyte was easily observed in closing state than in opening state (p<0.05). But there were no significant differences in other locations (p>0.05). The osteophytes on the medial and central portion easily observed at the transmaxillary projection than transcranial projection (p<0.05), but there was no significant difference on the lateral portion (p>0.05). The osteophytes on the superior (p<0.01) and posterior (p<0.01.) portion were easily observed at the transmaxillary projection than transcranial projection, but there was no significant difference on the anterior portion (p >0.05). The more laterally located osteophytes (p<0.01) at the transcranial projections were easily observed. The more posteriorly located osteophytes (p<0.05) at the transmaxillary projections were easily observed.
In case of prosthesis fabrication by CAD/CAM, location, area and contour of occlusal contacts can be adjusted so more functional occlusion can be acquired. Also, errors in a manufacturing process is reduced compared to cast metal prostheses and porcelain fused metal prostheses fabricated by conventional methods such as casting and porcelain build up. Therefore, prostheses by CAD/CAM show superior occlusion accuracy. Recently, virtual articulator function has been introduced to CAD/CAM system, which reproduces mandibular movement against maxilla. Thus, it is possible to consider occlusal interference in anterior/lateral movement as well as closing movement. There have been many studies on the marginal and internal fit of prostheses using zirconia but the occlusal fit of zirconia crown fabricated by CAD/CAM has not been researched as much. In this case report, 7 zirconia crowns were designed and fabricated by CAD/CAM for total 5 patients. The models of zirconia crowns before and after occlusal adjustment during intraoral try-in were scanned for occlusal contacts, which were compared to evaluate accuracy of prostheses and understand patterns of occlusal adjustment. Most of the occlusal adjustments were done on functional cusps and slopes of zirconia crown, and the magnitude of occlusal adjustment ranged from $15{\mu}m$ to $60{\mu}m$. In the zirconia crown fabricated with CAD/CAM systems, the occlusal adjustment is a necessary procedure, so additional procedures will be needed for compensating reduced mechanical properties.

The following conclusions are drawn from a review on the theory of correlation between the jang-bu organs in 'Ojangchunchaklon(五臟穿鑿論)' which is quoted in 'Uihakipmoon(醫學入門)' and 'Donguibogam(東醫寶鑑)'. The three yangs and three yins are trisections each of yang ki and y1n ki. They represent three aspects of change in powers of yin ki and yang ki. The theory of Kaehapchu(開闔樞 the opening, closing and pivot) is thought to be the concept which explains the three states of jang-bu organs and meridians in terms of three yangs and three yins. The three yangs and three yins are assigned to twelve months according to the generation, prosperity and vanishment of the water, the fire, the wood and the metal in the circulation of nature with the lapse of time. Most of all, the change of the water and the fire is the main guide to the assignment. Both the theory of exterior-interior relations in jang-bu organs and meridians and the theory of Kaehapchu are founded on the assignment of three yangs and three yins to twelve months. The correlation between jang-bu organs is based on the monthly assignment of three yangs and three yins described in 'Internal classic(內經)' and the theory of Kaehapchu. In the correlations between jang-bu organs and meridians, the exterior-interior relations are the correspondences of Hand to Hand and Foot to Foot. but the relations of Kaehapchu are those of Hand to Foot and Foot to Hand. Jeesan's diagram of pulse is grounded on the correlations between jang-bu organs. On the left of the diagram, jang organs are arranged in the order of hierarchic positions in body. On the right, bu organs are disposed according to the correlations with the jang organs. Jeesan's diagram includes the principles of triple harmony and diagonal groups in twelve earthly branches(十二支). Jeesan's diagram is the frame through which correlations of jung-ki-shin-hyul, five jang and six bu organs, twelve meridians and six intrinsic factors can be observed at once.

The fundamental experiments for measuring soft x-ray characteristics from the vacuum capillary are described. These experiments were primarily performed in order to generate line spectra such as x-ray lasers. The generator consists of a high-voltage power supply, a polarity-inversion ignitron pulse generator, a turbo-molecular pump, and a radiation tube with a capillary. A high-voltage condenser of 200 nF in the pulse generator is charged up to 20 kV by the power supply, and the electric charges in the condenser are discharged to the capillary in the tube after closing the ignitron. During the discharge, weakly ionized plasma forms on the inner and outer sides of a capillary. In the present work, the pump evacuates air from the tube with a pressure of about 1 mPa, and a demountable capillary was developed in order to measure x-ray spectra according to changes in the capillary length. In this capillary, the anode (target) and cathode elements can be changed corresponding to the objectives. The capillary diameter is 2.0 mm, and the length is adjusted from 1 to 50 mm. When a capillary with aluminum anode and cathode electrodes was employed, both the cathode voltage and the discharge current almost displayed damped oscillations. The peak values of the voltage and current increased when the charging voltage was increased, and their maximum values were -10.8 kV and 4.7 kA, respectively. The x-ray durations observed by a 1.6 ${\mu}$m aluminum filter were less than 30 ${\mu}$s, and we detected the aluminum characteristic x-ray intensity using a 6.8 ${\mu}$m aluminum filter. In the spectrum measurement, two sets of aluminum and titanium electrodes were employed, and we observed multi-line spectra. The line photon energies seldom varied according to changes in the condenser charging voltage and to changes in the electrode element. In the case where the titanium electrode was employed, the line number decreased with corresponding decreases in the capillary length. Compared with incoherent visible light, these rays from the capillary were diffracted and diffused greatly after passing through two slits.

In order to figure out hydrodynamic and water quality changes after completion of dike construction of the Saemangeum, which behaves as a semi-enclosed estuarine lake, numerical simulations based on fine grid structure by using EFDC were intensively carried out. In this study some limitations of precedent study has been improved and gate operation were considered. Also 3 phases such as air-water-sediment interaction modeling was considered. It is clear that inner mixing of the Saemangeum is dominated by Mankyeong and Dongjin riverine discharges rather than the gate opening influence through the Lagrangian particle tracking simulations. Vertical DO structure after the dike completion shows steep gradient especially at Dongjin river estuary due to lessen of outer sea water exchange. Increasing SOD at stagnantly changed man-made reservoir might cause oxygen deficiency and accelerating degradation of water quality. According to TSI evaluation test representing eutrophication status, it shows high possibility of eutrophication along Mankyeong waterway in spite of dike completion, while the index is getting high after final closing along Dongjin waterway. Numerical tests with gate operations show significant differences in water quality. Thus it should be noted that proper gate operation plays a major role in preserving target water quality and management for inner development plan.

If of application of the deep deckting floor in long span more than 6m, the deflection caused by the construction load occurred high. Because the constructing-works and safety by this deflection, take actually supports to laborers working on the deck. However, installed supports are having difficultly such as the restricted passage, deficiency of working space, and lowering of efficiency. And toward-opening deck is seen as local buckling of web plate, flexural-torsional buckling, and gradually opening of corrugated decking. In this study, we will suggest a deep decking floor system that reinforced with both ends cap plates for toward-opneing decking change from opening to closing. The constructing deflection of a deep decking more than 6m must be satified 30mm and L/180 as proposed. Full-scale field tests loading by sand conducted a deep decking reinforced with and without cap plate. In conclusion, the specimen reinforced with cap plates have shown that to ensure the negative moment $wl^2/18$. And constructing-deflection of deep decking shown that to satisfy the evaluation value (L/180 or 30mm).
