강우자료의 비동질성 규명을 위한 변동점 분석기법의 상호비교 및 적용 (Intercomparison of Change Point Analysis Methods for Identification of Inhomogeneity in Rainfall Series and Applications)

  • 변동점 분석은 강우, 유량, 온도 등의 수문기상자료의 기초적인 정보를 이해함에 있어 유용한 수단으로 활용될 수 있다. 특히 합리적인 방법으로 분석된 미래 강우량에 대한 변동점 분석 결과는 최근 기후변화로 인해 발생되는 홍수나 가뭄과 같은 수문현상을 예측하는 데 있어 문제가 되는 비동질성 또는 비정상성 요인을 해결하는 데 있어 중요하게 활용될 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 변동성 분석을 위해 이용되는 3가지의 이론(CUSUM, BCP, DP)을 소개함과 함께 3가지 기법들의 특성을 알아보기 위한 상호비교 연구를 수행하였다. 3가지 종류의 합성 모의 강우자료의 생성을 통해 3가지 기법들을 수행한 뒤 그 결과를 특정 성능평가 절차를 거쳐 평가하였으며, 그 중 2가지 기법을 국내 관측 강우자료 및 미래 강우자료의 변동점 분석에 적용하고 그 결과를 제시하였다. 기법 간 비교를 통해 BCP 0.9가 가장 우수한 탐색능력이 있는 것으로 분석되었으며, DP 또한 합리적으로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다. 향후 이와 같은 강우자료에 대한 변동점 분석에 관한 연구는 비동질성이나 비정상성을 고려하여 수문모형을 구축하는 연구 등에 있어 효율적으로 사용될 수 있다.

  • Industrialization and development of technology satisfied various humanly needs and lay the basis of numerous benefit and profit. New technologies like these mostly required large amounts of fossil Fuel, Fossil energy depletion rate was increasing rapidly. However, technical development for Human race required absolute sacrifice of the environment. Especially, 'City' which had been focused as stage of human activities, allowed to continue to have fossil energy dependent activities, and it shows in many data that the city is responsible for the 75-80% of the green house gas by human. In order to solve the problem relating climate changes and energy, European countries already made progress studies on many of the low carbon green city and pilot case construction. Especially, Germany, Austria, Holland, Sweden who had been playing leader role on environmental awareness and ecological concept, are actively constructing low carbon green city project based on Ecological city planning scheme. These projects positively utilize planning scheme that limits carbon emission using Urban Metabolism concept. Therefore, throughout this study, I would like to present planning and direction of future domestic low carbon green city by analyzing theories relative theories and best practices in Europe.

  • Stormwater reduction plays an important role in the safety and resilience to flooding in urban areas. Due to rapid climate change, the world is experiencing abnormal climate phenomena, and sudden floods and concentrated torrential rains are frequently occurring in urban basins and the amount of outflow due to stormwater increases. In addition, the damage caused by urban flooding and inundation due to extreme rainfall exceeding the events that occurred in the past increases. To solve this problem, water supply, drainage, and water supply for sustainable urban development, the water management paradigm is shifting from sewage maintenance to water circulation and water-sensitive cities. So, in this study, The purpose of this study is to examine measures to increase the resilience of urban ecosystem systems for urban excellence reduction by analyzing the effects of green infra structures and LID techniques and evaluating changes in resilience. In this study, for simulating and analysis of runoff for various stormwater patterns and LID applications, Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) was used.

모터 및 배터리 용량에 따른 전기스쿠터 성능해석 (The Analysis of a Electric Scooter's Performance through Motor and Battery Capacity Changing)

  • The climate change due to the increased consumption with fossil fuel and rise of the oil price have been serious global issues. Automobile industry consumes 30% of the oil every year and causes air pollution and global warming by the exhaust emissions and carbon dioxide ($CO_2$). The demand of two-wheeled vehicle increases every year due to the parking and traffic problem caused by the increased automobiles in the urban area. Approximately 50,000,000 two-wheeled vehicles were produced in 2008. The development and sales of the hybrid two-wheeled vehicle industry become active due to its increased market demands. In this paper, the change of the motor and battery efficiency, driving distance, hill climbing ability with the change of the motor capacity was analyzed. Simulation of the peculiarities in urban driving schedule(World-wide Motorcycle Test Cycle(WMTC), Manhattan driving schedule), constant speed(10 km/h, 35 km/h) of small electronic two-wheeled vehicle was also carried out. Through the simulation result, appropriate capacities of the motor and battery for urban driving was acquired.

선박속력 및 급유결정 문제에 대한 휴리스틱 알고리즘 (A Heuristic Algorithm for a Ship Speed and Bunkering Decision Problem)

  • Maritime transport is now regarded as one of the main contributors to global climate change by virtue of its $CO_2$ emissions. Meanwhile, slow steaming, i.e., slower ship speed, has become a common practice in the maritime industry so as to lower $CO_2$ emissions and reduce bunker fuel consumption. The practice raised various operational decision issues in terms of shipping companies: how much ship speed is, how much to bunker the fuel, and at which port to bunker. In this context, this study addresses an operation problem in a shipping companies, which is the problem of determining the ship speed, bunkering ports, and bunkering amount at the ports over a given ship route to minimize the bunker fuel and ship time costs as well as the carbon tax which is a regulatory measure aiming at reducing $CO_2$ emissions. The ship time cost is included in the problem because slow steaming increases transit times, which implies increased in-transit inventory costs in terms of shippers. We formulate the problem as a nonlinear lot-sizing model and suggest a Lagrangian heuristic to solve the problem. The performance of the heuristic algorithm is evaluated using the data obtained from reliable sources. Although the problem is an operational problem, the heuristic algorithm is used to address various strategic issues facing shipping companies, including the effects of bunker prices, carbon taxes, and ship time costs on the ship speed, bunkering amount and number of bunkering ports. For this, we conduct sensitivity analyses of these factors and finally discuss study findings.

고효율 고밀도 서버용 전원장치를 위한 Hold up Time 보상 기술 (Hold up Time Extension Technique for high efficiency, high power density server power supply)

  • 최근 전 세계적인 지구 기후 변화에 따라 에너지를 절약하기 위한 정책이 수립되고 있으며 특히 권고 사양인 CSCI 규제가 점차 강화되고 있어 서버용 전원장치의 효율 조건 역시 높아지고 있다. 이에 따라 서버용 전원 장치의 효율 향상을 얻을 수 있는 기술로서 hold up time extension 기술이 많은 주목을 받아왔다. Hold up time 보상기술은 서버용 전원 장치가 가지는 hold up time 이라는 특징으로 인하여 발생할 수 있는 손실을 추가적인 기술을 통하여 보상함으로서 효율을 높일 수 있는 방법으로 그동안 많은 연구가 이루어져 왔다. 본고에서는 고효율 고밀도 서버용 전원장치를 위한 hold up time 보상회로에 대하여 알아보고자 한다.

  • Changes in the earth's climate depend on changes in the net sunlight reaching us. The net depends on the sun's output and earth's reflectance, or albedo. Here we develop the limits on the changes in the sun's output in historical times based on the physics of the origin of solar cycle changes. Many have suggested that the sun's output could have been $0.5\%$ less during the Maunder minimum, whereas the variation over the solar cycle is only about $0.1\%$. The frequencies of solar oscillations (f- and p-modes) evolve through the solar cycle, and provide the most exact measure of the cycle-dependent changes in the sun. But precisely what are they probing? The changes in the sun's output, structure and oscillation frequencies are driven by some combination of changes in the magnetic field, thermal structure and velocity field. It has been unclear what is the precise combination of the three. One way or another, this thorny issue rests on an understanding of the response of the solar structure to increased magnetic field, but this is complicated. Thus, we do not understand the origin of the sun's irradiance increase with increasing magnetic activity. Until recently, it seemed that an unphysically large magnetic field change was required to account for the frequency evolution during the cycle. However, the problem seems to have been solved (Dziembowski, Goode & Schou 2001) using f-mode data on size variations of the sun. From this and the work of Dziembowski & Goode (2003), we suggest that in historical times the sun couldn't be much dimmer than it is at activity minimum.

기후변화의 영향을 고려한 한반도 해안지역 대수층의 해수침투 영향 분석 (Analysis of Saltwater Intrusion Effects into Coastal Aquifers in Korea considering Climate Change Effects)

  • 한반도의 해안 지하수 및 해수면 수위, 수온, 그리고 전기전도도(Electrical Conductivity, EC) 관측 자료를 통해 경향성 분석을 실시하여, 한반도 대수층의 해수침투 영향을 연구하였다. 총 27개소의 지하수위 및 EC 자료를 분석한 결과 지하수위는 27개소 모두 안정된 경향을 보였으며, EC는 증가 9개소, 안정 10개소, 감소 8개소로서 안정 및 변동의 경향을 나타내고 있으며, 해수면 수온은 총 14개소의 관측소 중 증가 12개소, 안정 2개소로서 증가의 경향이 대부분인 것으로 나타났으며, 해수면 수위 또한 총 24개소의 관측소 중 증가 18개소, 안정 3개소, 감소 3개소로 대부분의 관측소가 증가의 경향을 보였다. 특히, 동해와 남해안보다 서해의 해수면수위, 수온 및 EC의 모든 연구 항목의 상승 경향성을 보이는 관측소 비율이 높은 것으로 분석되어, 서해안에서 해수침투 영향이 타 해안보다 심각한 것으로 판단되며, 이에 대한 연구 및 대책이 강구되어야 하겠다.

「국가 CCS 종합추진계획」 이행점검 및 개선과제 도출 연구 (A Study on Implementation and Deriving Future Tasks of 「The Korean National CCS Master Action Plan」)

  • Global warming caused by greenhouse gases is one of the foremost challenges in the international community. As an alternative to solve this problem, the importance of CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) technology is increasing. However, due to the delay of European financial crisis recovery, some large-scale CCS projects were postponed. In turn, large-scale CCS projects in South Korea have not been launched as originally planned. Given these situations, it is important to review the latest R&D activities related to CCS in South Korea, and then adjust relevant national policy accordingly. The purpose of this study is to identify policy issues for the effective promotion of CCS technology in South Korea. Following the analysis of recent global trend on CCS policy, we evaluated the results and achievements from national CCS projects, which had been listed under the "Korean National CCS Master Action Plan (2010)". Especially, we tried to review the attainability for the original goal of each project. Through the present study, we identified the current status of CCS technology in South Korea and suggested efficient ways to be taken in order to increase efficiency in implementing national CCS policy in the future.

도시 기후변화 재해취약성분석 방법의 개선방안 검토 : 해수면상승 재해를 중심으로 (A Review on Improvements of Climate Change Vulnerability Analysis Methods : Focusing on Sea Level Rise Disasters)

  • 본 연구는 재해로부터 안전한 도시조성을 위하여 현재 시행중인 기후변화 재해취약성분석 제도의 조기정착을 위한 방안마련의 일환으로, 현행 재해취약성분석 제도의 특징과 개선방안 검토를 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 부산 해운대구를 대상으로 재해유형 중 해수면 상승 재해에 대하여 실증분석을 수행하였다. 분석은 집계구와 동을 분석단위로 설정하여 각각 재해취약성을 분석하였으며, 분석과정과 분석결과의 비교 검토를 통하여 개선방안을 검토하였다. 분석결과 공간단위에 따라 결과가 다르게 도출되는 공간단위수정가능성의 문제가 발생하였다. 개선방안 검토는 분석진행 과정별로 도출하였으며, 분석의 기반이 되는 공간단위의 설정단계에서는 분석단위 조정, 점수산정방식 조정, 재해유형별 명확한 분석방안마련 등이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 분석실행 단계에서는 변수에 따른 가중치 설정, 변수의 다양화, 주관적 분석선정방안 배제 등이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 정확한 도시종합 재해취약성분석 결과는 미래 기후변화에 효율적으로 대응 가능한 도시방재력 향상의 밑거름이 될 것으로 기대된다.
