  • Client requirements is a concept with increasing interest in relation to several outcomes of companies, and in particular, in the event of apartment project that takes large share in the domestic construction industry, diverse angle of survey is performed to discover the client requirements and reflect them to the project to improve the quality. For this purpose, it is required to learn the client requirements and apply it in the apartment project, and the QFD (Quality Function Deployment) linked ROQ (Return On Quality) is a technique used in the manufacturing that surveys the client requirements to improve the customer satisfaction, and apply it to the quality improvement program to improve the profitability in this process. In this study, through the application of the ROQ process, the plan to improve the apartment quality management is presented. For this purpose, the consumer interview survey, FGI (focus group interview) survey and the client requirements are analyzed, and thereafter, through the interview with the specialist, the quality improvement program that enables the application to the product development of new apartment product is established. Through this process, the new apartment quality management improvement plan is presented.

  • The construction starts its business by receiving the order from client and owner. The client presents requirements and related information so that the desired result can come out while the designer and the builder express and implement the building according to set objectives and goals of project based on information on project environment and presented requirements. Because the construction project makes decisions on such objectives at its early stage and previous stage becomes the situation for decision making of next stage as the computation to implement decisions get performed. Accordingly, this study has mentioned necessity of requirement analysis and systematization of construction project, analyzed the work of construction's early stage and resented a plan for objective of construction project requirement definition model in which requirements engineering has been applied and using it while making decisions on designing.

모바일 멀티플레이어 게임을 위한 하이브리드 클라이언트-서버 구조의 대역폭 요건과 우선순위 기반 동기화 기법 (Bandwidth Requirement and Priority-based Synchronization Methods in Hybrid Client-Server Architecture for Mobile Multiplayer Games)

  • Most of the multiplayer games available online are based on a client-server architecture because this architecture gives better administration control to the game providers than peer-to-peer architecture. In this architecture, the server is responsible for all the communication between the connected clients. The weakness of this architecture is its bandwidth requirement and scalability. Peer-to-peer architectures have then been proposed to solve these issues. In this paper, we propose a hybrid client-server architecture in which the game state is partially shared by the mobile terminal to achieve consistency among different players. Like a peer-to-peer architecture, this architecture uses client-side capacities to reduce bandwidth requirements for the server and improves consistency in wireless networks. Client events have different timeliness and consistency requirements according to their nature in the game world. These requirements lead to tasks with different priorities on CPU processing. In the proposed architecture, either the server or the client applies consistency mechanism according to the priority level. Simulation experiments show that the bandwidth of the server in this architecture is smaller than that of the client-server architecture. As a result, the server in the proposed architecture can accommodate more clients with enhancing the scalability.

  • 고객 요구사항은 기업의 여러 성과와 관련하여 최근 이에 대한 관심이 증가되고 있는 개념이며, 특히 국내 건설업에서 큰 비중을 차지하는 아파트 사업의 경우 다각도의 조사를 통해 고객의 요구사항을 발굴하고 이를 사업에 반영하여 품질을 향상시키는 노력이 필요하다. 이를 위해서는 고객의 요구사항을 파악하고 아파트 사업에 적용하는 기법이 요구되며 QFD(Quality Function Deployment)와 연계된 ROQ(Return On Qualify)는 제조업에서 사용되는 기법으로 고객의 요구사항을 조사하여 고객만족을 향상시키고 이를 품질개선 프로그램에 적용해 수익성을 향상시키게 하는 프로세스이다. 본 연구에서는 ROQ 프로세스의 적용을 통해 아파트 품질관리 개선방안을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 소비자 면접조사와 FGI(포커스그룹 인터뷰) 조사 실시 및 고객의 요구사항을 분석하였으며, 그 후 전문가의 면담을 통해 새로운 아파트 상품 개발에 적용 가능한 품질개선 프로그램을 수립하였다. 이 프로세스를 통해 새로운 아파트 품질관리 개선방안을 제시하도록 한다.

  • RUPI 기반 로봇 서비스는 다양한 성능을 지원하는 로봇과 서버간의 연동을 통해서 융통성과 확장성을 보장하는 로봇 기반 서비스를 제공한다. 높은 H/W 성능과 계산 능력을 보장하는 Rich-Client 로봇과 달리 Thin-Client 로봇은 제한된 성능만을 제공하기 때문에, 상대적으로 높은 연산량을 요구하는 보안 알고리즘을 수행하기에는 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Thin-Client 로봇의 보안 위협과 요구사항, 및 보안 기능을 포함하는 Thin-Client 로봇 보안 프레임워크를 제안한다.

  • The environment of If is, currently, on its developing process to the period of Web Service, Ubiquitous, and Telemetics which not only enable computer and internet to be utilized like the water or the air, but also be a new motivating force for its advance. In the respect of various interactions and User Interface, however, it is requiring more demands from its users, and additional functions which cannot be provided by the Web Browser. It is required a new model for supplementary of the limitation of Web_based according to their customers' requirement, to enrich the good aspects of Client-Server System, and accept such various intricate requirements. It is X-Internet, which has born with these requirements. In this study, therefore, it will be suggested a productive development framework and a method to perform the project on Rich-Thin Client Platform of X-Internet Based.

카노모델을 활용한 VE대안 검증방법 (VE Alternative Verification Method Using KANO Model)

  • VE는 기능을 향상시키고 비용을 절감함으로써 시설물의 가치를 제고하는 강력한 도구로 활용되고 있다. VE의 프로세스 중 발주자의 요구사항을 파악하여 품질모델에 반영함으로써 개발된 대안이 발주자의 요구사항을 충족시키도록 하고 있다. 그러나 기능분석과 아이디어 도출 및 평가를 통하여 개발된 대안이 발주자의 요구사항을 얼마나 반영하고 있는지를 검증할 수 있는 프로세스는 없다. 본 연구는 VE Job Plan 중에 개발된 대안에 대한 발주자의 만족도를 평가할 수 있는 방법론을 개발하여 검증하고 효과성을 입증하고자 하였다. 상품기획에서 요구사항의 만족, 불만족 여부를 파악할 수 있는 카노(KANO) 모델을 VE의 대안 검증절차를 위한 방법론으로 설정하고 본 연구의 목적에 맞게 개선하여 적용하였다. 연구 결과 본 연구에서 개발된 대안평가 방법은 유용한 것으로 판단되었다. 향후 카노(KANO) 모델이 VE Job Plan 분석단계에서 VE대안에 대한 만족도를 평가하는데 활용될 것으로 기대한다.

A Novel Bit Rate Adaptation using Buffer Size Optimization for Video Streaming

  • Video streaming application such as YouTube is one of the most popular mobile applications. To adjust the quality of video for available network bandwidth, a streaming server provides multiple representations of video of which bit rate has different bandwidth requirements. A streaming client utilizes an adaptive bit rate scheme to select a proper video representation that the network can support. The download behavior of video streaming client player is governed by several parameters such as maximum buffer size. Especially, the size of the maximum playback buffer in the client player can greatly affect the user experience. To tackle this problem, in this paper, we propose the maximum buffer size optimization according to available network bandwidth and buffer status. Our simulation study shows that our proposed buffer size optimization scheme successfully mitigates playback stalls while preserving the similar quality of streaming video compared to existing ABR schemes.

네트워크 부하 기반 프레임 생략 전송 알고리즘 (A Frame Skipping Transfer Algorithm based on Network Load)

  • 다수의 사용자 요구에 의해 비디오 타이틀을 실시간으로 제공해야 하는 VOD 서비스는 클라이언트의 버퍼 안정화와 재생 질 보증을 위해서, 네트워크의 상태에 따라 드로핑 (Dropping)이나 스키핑(Skipping) 알고리즘으로 프레임을 전송하는 메카니즘이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 네트워크의 부하에 따라 저장 장치에서 생략 인출한 MPEG 프레임 (I, P, B 프레임)을 클라이언트에 전송하는 알고리즘을 제시한다. 또한 시뮬레이션을 통해 네트워크의 부하에 적응적으로 대처하여 네트워크의 부하를 줄이고 클라이언트의 수신 버퍼를 안정화시킬 수 있음을 검증한다.

Client Technology on a Server for Mobile Cloud

  • The increasing ubiquity of wireless networks and decreasing cost of hardware is fueling a proliferation of mobile devices. These devices are enabling a new revolution in mobile technology, not only running locally on them, but running on cloud as a service as well. From web browsing, email, or video conferencing, presentations to movie and music entertainment or games, multimedia applications, mobile cloud enables providing such diverse applications. Many technologies have been designed to address the limited hardware and performance in thin client PC. However, with the assorted network and graphic condition, those proposed technologies is obligated to alter aim to adapt mobile cloud. In this paper, we provide a survey of client technology on a Server that can be sufficed the requirements of Mobile Cloud. We also analyze each technology and classify with its individual difficulties and challenges.
