Recently CRT is getting flatted, As change of CRT trend from normal type to Flat type, the material of Shadow Mask was also changed from AK(Aluminum Killed) to Invar(Fe-Ni alloy) materials Until now we have used just AK(Aluminum Killed) for normal type TV(not flat type), but main raw material of shadow mask component was changed. . However recently Invar(Fe-Ni alloy) materials, which has advantage of Low Thermal Expansion and High Strength, has been developed as well as applying in mass production as CRT's trend has become more flat and fine pitch. As main raw material of shadow mask component was changed, conditions of process were changed. One of them, the importance of pre-etching process (assistant process for developing & etching) is improved because there are so many particles in the pre-etching bath because of Ni compounds. Since the solubility of Ni in pre-etching solvent is very low related to Fe's, so the compounds of Ni happen to make particles.(the solubility of Fe is twenty times Ni's) that particles happen to make process troubles and NG productions so to clear the particles we had to established high cost filtering system, but it is useless. As time goes by the quantity of particles (Ni compounds) was increased because of the capability of filtering system was not enough, the particles was produced continuous in bath, and it make quality problems. Hence we tried to develop the new pre-etching solution to remove the particles (Ni compounds) and to cost down the filtering system's running cost. But in improving the solution we discovered the new pre-etching solution made the PR developing better. In former solution there were three kinds of chemistry (COOH)2 , H2O2 , H2S04 .first the function of (COOH)2 is drilling the surface of Invar, during this mechanism Ni compounds occurred. Second the function of H202 is removing the PR fringe (half UV exposure zone on PR(PVA)), Third the function of H2S04 is the catalysis of (COOH)2 In those, (COOH)2 was the main reason to make the Ni compounds. So to improve the solutions we had to change (COOH)2 to the other material. the chemistry we improved was a complex chemistry based on H2S04 . after using this chemistry the particles problem was disappeared and there was another advantage cut down the PR fringe. The New solution made the function of H202 better so the PR developing improved. To be direct the catalyst of the new solution helped the H202. anyway First thing after change the solution the quality of shadow Mask for flat color TV was improved & the yield also improved. But the more important thing is how to control the new solution. So we accepted the new concept which was the degree of freshness. The degree of freshness is based on non-reacted solution which was 100% ( the degree of freshness) and calculated the melted Ni quantity as time goes by. So we made the gauging liner plot. In conclusion, many companies tried to make fine pitched Shadow Mask ,generally to make quality jump up it needed a lot of cost & persons .in this case the shift of core material made it possible.

Guava (Psidium guajava L.) contains high amount of vitamins and minerals, and its leaves have been reported to be very effective on reducing blood pressure. In this study, antimicrobial characteristics of extracts from four different parts of guava (fruit, branch, leaf, and seed) with four different solvents (methanol, ethanol, acetone, and water) were evaluated. Four targeted food-borne microorganisms were selected; two Gram negatives (Escherichia coli O157:H7 and Salmonella Typhimurium) and two Gram positives (Staphylococcus aureus and Listeria monocytogenes). By the paper disc method, guava extracts showed stronger clear hollow zone against Gram positive bacteria than Gram negatives in nutrient broth agar plate. Especially, extracts of branches and leaves showed significant antibacterial activity. Guava extracts also showed significant inhibition activity on the growth of Gram positive food-borne bacteria in nutrient broth. For example, S. aureus did not grow at all at 200 ppm of acetone extracts of guava branch and leaf. In the case of L. monocytogenes, the same concentration of acetone extracts of guava branch and leaf inhibited the growth 33.5% and 55.4%, respectively, at 32 hrs of incubation time. The results indicated that extracts of guava branch and leaf showed significant antibacterial activities against food-borne Gram positive microorganisms, and that guava branches, the byproducts of guava, might be a valuable resource for antibacterial materials.
The purpose of this paper was to introduce sociocultural theory which is a different epistemological perspective from constructivism and to understand the sociocultural theory in a systemic way by providing four specific criteria for a sociocultural theory from the analysis of Vygotsky's ideas. The four criteria are the followings: first, the origin of learning is not at the individual level, but at the social. Second, Learning takes place in a sociocultural framework through ZPD and there exists the stage of pseudo concept before it gets to a true concept. Third, a clear focus on action, especially mediated action, and the concept of psychological tools should be discussed in the boundary of a sociocultural theory. Fourth, actors in a learning process are not an individual child alone. In consequence, the role of adults, particularly teachers, are significant in a child's learning, and this fact provides a great potential for the active role of teachers in the students' learning of mathematics from the sociocultural perspective.
A series of pore water data were obtained during the different time over one year period between October 1987 and October 1988, from a site on a muddy intertidal flat, located in the Kyeong-gi Bay, west coast of Korea, The results have revealed that the tidal flat is an environment of active nutrient the subface supplied by the overlying seawater is almost completely removed from the pore water at depth of about 10 cm below the sediment surface. The nutrients such as ammonium and phosphate are produced through this process and subsequently accumulated in the pore water forming steep gradients near the sediment surface. Below the main sulfate redirection zone, a secondary peak of dissolved sulfate was often observed. Greal seasonal variation of the pore water nutrient profiles was observed, which was particularly clear in their maximum concentration as well as in their concentration gradient. The rate constants of sulfate reduction and nutrient regeneration, estimated by using a diagenetic model (Berner, 1980), differ by an order of magnitude between the summer and winter seasons. The difference in sediment temperature may account for most of the calculated variation. The C:N:P ratio, calculated from the pore water nutrient gradients also exhibits a slight seasonal difference. The organic matter being decomposed by sulfate reduction appears to be depleted in depleted in nitrogen, compared to the average marine organic matter.
We evaluated the yield of extract, antioxidant compounds (total phenolic, total flavonoid), antioxidant (DPPH assay, ABTS assay, Oyaizu's assay, FRAP assay), and antimicrobial activities of Siraegi (dried radish greens) according to cooking process (non-blanched, blanched, seasoned). The yield of non-blanched Siraegi was 4.91%, blanched Siraegi was 0.33%, and seasoned Siraegi was 7.55%. In total polyphenol and flavonoid contents, seasoned Siraegi extracts showed higher antioxidant compounds ($129.85{\pm}0.62mg$ GAE/100 g FW, $35.56{\pm}1.19mg$ CHE/100 g FW) than non-blanched and blanched. Total antioxidant activities (DPPH assay, ABTS assay, FRAP assay, reducing power) were shown to be in the order of seasoned Siraegi > non-blanched Siraegi > blanched Siraegi. In antimicrobial activity, non-blanched Siraegi (5, 10 mg/disc) showed antimicrobial activity against B. cereus, E. cloacae, and E. coli (9.25 mm), and P. aeruginosa (9 mm) at 10 mg/disc. In terms of antimicrobial activity, non-blanched Siraegi was good but eating the dried vegetable was difficult so it is essential to blanch it. Also, with many added seasonings in the process of cooking, it can be easy to eat. Overall, the results of this study demonstrate that cooked Siraegi with seasoning would be the most efficient way of ingesting the antioxidant material.
About 7.7% of the total anaerobic bacteria in pig feces grew with clear zone around the colonies on the agar medium containing inulin as a sole carbon source. Among these bacteria, a strain with the strongest inulin-utilizing activity was isolated and identified as Bacteroides sp. based on its morphological and taxonomical characteristics. The isolate grew well with inulin, fructooligosaccharides or glucose as a sole carbon source, while its growth dropped to 50% of that obtained with glucose when soluble starch or sucrose are used. Since the inulase activity was found only when fructooligosaccharides or inulin was added to the growth medium, but not when glucose, sucrose or soluble starch was applied, the inulase production was considered to be induced by fructooligosaccharides or inulin. The highest inulase activity, 0.42 U/ml was detected with the inulin medium and 0.25 U/ml with fructooligosaccharides medium. The cell growth of the isolated strain increased with the amounts of inulin up to 2%(w/v) and maximum production of inulase was found in the cells fed 1% inulin. The inulase of the isolated Bacteroides sp. showed its maximum activity at pH $7.0{\sim}7.5\;and\;50{\sim}50^{\circ}C$ and was found to be an exoinulase judging by its mode of action.

Lactic acid bacteria are microorganisms that are closely associated with human and/or animal environments, and are categorized as generally recognized as safe (GRAS) organisms due to their ubiquitous appearance in foods and their contribution to the healthy microflora of mucosal surfaces. This study was performed to isolate and identify lactic acid bacteria with antagonistic effects against food-borne pathogens. A total of 3,000 acid-producing bacteria were isolated from infant feces, cattle feces, goat feces, dog feces, pig feces, vaginal tracts, vegetables, fruits, Kimchi, Jeotgal, fermented sausages, raw milk, cheese, yogurt, Cheonggukjang, Meju, and Makgeolli cultured on MRS agar with 0.05% bromocresol purple. For the isolation of bacteriocin-producing bacteria, the diameter of the clear zone was measured on MRS agar plates. Twenty-six isolates exhibited strong antibacterial activity against indicator strains such as Listeria monocytogenes, Escherichia coli O157:H7, and Salmonella enterica serovar Enteritidis. Lactic acid bacteria were identified as Enterococcus faecalis, Enterococcus faecium, Enterococcus hirae, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus amylovorus, Lactobacillus curvatus, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Pediococcus acidilactici by 16S rDNA gene sequence analysis. The results of this study suggest that the isolates could be used as potential probiotic starters for functional food applications.
This study was carried out to determine the inhibitory effect of methanol extract from kimchi ingredients against Salmonella typhimurium, Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, and Esherichia coli which are pathogenic microorganisms and Aspergillus sp. Penicillium sp. Antimicrobial activity of methanol extracts was tested against bacteria by paper disc method. Antifungal activity of methanol extracts was shown by hyphal growth inhibition ratio. The methanol extracts from all materials were effective against E. coli among them. And the antimicrobial activity of the methanol extracts from ginger and onion were lower than the others. The antifungal activity of the methanol extracts from radish, ginger, and garlic were effective against Aspergillus sp. and Penicillium sp. In the result of identifying antimicrobial effect rate, the methanol extracts from red pepper and radish had more than $40\%$ against S. typhimurium and more than $30\%$ against E. coli. Also the methanol extracts from onion had an high inhibitory effect rate of more than $50\%$ against S. typhimurium and that from garlic had more than $60\%$ against S. aureus. The minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) of red pepper was examined 500 $\mu$g/mL against L. monocytogenes. This value was the lowest among the others.
In order to identify probiotic microorganisms, 25 isolates of Lactobacillus sp. were selected from kimchi based on their growth rates, lactic acid production and salt tolerance. The isolate JK-01 was identified as Lactobacillus plantarum by the API kit and 16S rDNA analysis (99.9% of homology), and named as L. plantarum JK-01. The maximum number of L. plantarum JK-01 was reached at 18 hr fermentation in MRS broth and the pH gradually decreased to 4.5. L. plantarum JK-01 showed high enzyme activities for xylanase, amylase, protease, and phytase on MRS agar plates containing each substrate. L. plantarum JK-01 showed high resistance to acidic pH and bile salts, and grew well even at pH 2.0 and 1.0% bile salt. In particular, L. plantarum JK-01 showed high heat stability as shown by $3.3{\times}10^3$ CFU/mL at $60^{\circ}C$. The isolate showed remarkable antimicrobial activity against E. coli in MRS broth based on its disappearance after 18 hr and clear zone formation using a paper disk assay. These results suggest that L. plantarum JK-01 may be probiotic in nature.

Antimicrobial activity of chitosan and chitosan oligosaccharides on the microorganism related to Kimchi was investigated. 5 kinds of chitosan, which have different deacetylation degrees and molecular weights were prepared and its effect on the organoleptic characteristics, pH and titrable acidity of Kimchi in the storage time were examined. C-4 and C-5 chitosan (D.A.:$92{\sim}99%$, M.W.: $16,000{\sim}32,000)$ recorded high score in the texture and showed pH 4.9 and titrable acidity 0.35%, compared with control (pH 4.1, titrarable acidity 0.50 %) evaluated to optimal ripening time. The chitosan oligosaccharides containing relatively large amount of $pentamer{\sim}heptamer$ were chosen from C-4 chitosan hydrolyzates. Antimicrobial activity of C-4 and chitosan oligosaccharides against B. subtilis, B. cereus, Pse. fluorescens, E. coli, Lac. plantarum, Leu. mesenteroides, Lac. brevis, Ent. faecalis and 3 kinds of microflora from Kimchi were examined. The clear zone against microorganism were $9{\sim}20mm$ at 3.0% C-4 chitosan and $8{\sim}24mm$ at 5.0% chitosan oligosaccharides, and MIC of chitosan and chitosan oligosaccharides was shown $0.01{\sim}0.05%$ and $0.05{\sim}0.2%$, respectively. The antimicrobial effect of chitosan and chitosan oligosaccharides was also observed in 3 kinds of total microflora from Kimchi and was most strong in the microflora from the ripening stage of Kimchi, suggesting C-4 chitosan and chitosan oligosaccharides could be applicable to extending shelf-life of Kimchi.
