The most ideal textile conservation is to block oxygen and light from historical textiles. However it is not possible because historical textiles should be examined, cleaned, restored, and exhibited to find out its historical value. Most of excavated costumes were severely stained and soiled. They are dark yellowish brown in color. To reduce the extent and intensity of the staining and to recover the original color of gray fabrics, bleaching would be required. Conservation treatment was carried out on the 8 historical costumes which belonged to General Duk-Ryung Kim(1567-1596). Two of them do not hold the fabrics. They hold only cotton wool and a little piece of fabrics. Even though these costumes underwent the conservation treatment in 1979, they were stained and needed re-treatment. This time, they were dual-bleached using hydrogen peroxide and sodiumborohydride followed by wet cleaning to reduce the soils and stains. The treatments improved the appearance of costumes. Through the analysis of the trace of fabric, carbonized fabric fragment, and fabrics remained in other garments, we concluded the missing fabrics to be ramie or cotton. It is different result from the primary report concluded to be silk.
The stability and toxicity test for p.p'-DDT, DDVP and dipterex that put to used sample in this study effects is follows A. about p.p'-DDT (1) In elevating the stability of p.p'-DDT, best stabilizing solvent was benzene. (2) The stability-agent has no difficulty as long as it not contain metal ion for instance $Z_n^{2+}$,$C_r^{3+}$,$Al^{3+}$,and $Fe^{2+or3+}$ but in case of contain $F_e^{3+}$, the combination of salicylaminoguanidine is best effective. (3) Using this product for water-suspension, We must use span 40 for stability agent and adding it at the same time. (4) We must use container which does not week alkali and metal ion but it is to preserved in tight light-resistant container. (5) The stopper of container is adapted with above-mentioned condition of container, but it is better not to use metal material. (6) This product needs opening ventilation more than 30 minutes after diffusion or spray and in the room we remove cause of remained poison by cleaning the bottom. B. about DDVP and Dipterex (1) Benzene or toluene in best solvent to preserve stability of DDVP and Dipterex. (2) Span 40 is superior for stability agent of this product and second is span 80. (3) The pH of solution is very stable in pH 5-6 and comparative stable in alkali more than p,p'-DDT. (4) Container is to preserved in tight, lightresistant container and especially be careful of outflow and inflow of water. (5) Because this product is centeral stimulant poison, we must pay attention to prevent cause of contact diadermic toxicity after use.
BACKGROUND: Certain crop-based waste materials have been recognized as cost-effective and highly efficient adsorbents for removal and recovery of different kind of heavy metals from aqueous solutions. The ability is strongly attributed to the carboxyl functional group of some pectin substances such as galacturonic acid often found in fruit peels. The present manuscript was aimed at assessing the potential applicability of banana peel for metal removal from contaminated waters. METHODS AND RESULTS: As revealed by laboratory investigations, banana peel contains pectin (10-21%), lignin (6-12%), cellulose (7.6-9.6%), and hemicelluloses (6.4-9.4%). The pectin extraction is reported to have glucose, galactose, arabinose, rhamnose, xylose, and galactouroninc acid. Several studies conducted under different conditions proved that banana peel is capable of adsorbing 5.71, 2.55, 28.00, 6.88, 7.97, and 5.80 mg/g of $Cd^{2+}$, $Co^{2+}$, $Cu^{2+}$, $Ni^{2+}$, $Pb^{2+}$, and $Zn^{2+}$, respectively, from aqueous solutions. Adsorption capacity is, however, dependent upon several factors including solution pH, dose of adsorbent and metal concentration, contact time and shaking speed. CONCLUSION(S): Since the annual world production of banana exceeds 100 million tons, about 40 million tons of banana peel (40% of total weight of the fresh fruit) remains vastly unused. Exploring a sound technology with banana peel would therefore, not only address the much needed sustainable tool for cleaning contaminated waters, but of course bring an additional value to the banana industry worldwide.
A survey was made, from May to June 1991, to reveal the current situation of the meal management of the homemakers in Jeonbuk area. The results obtained from 464 homemakers were summerized as follows. The meal expenses were planned and managed mostly by the homemakers (93.3%). The 31.1% homemakers expended 200,000-300,000 Won a month for meals and the average expenditure was 294,106 Won. Among the homemakers who responded, the 34.0% managed their account books for meal expenses. With decreasing age(p<0.05), increasing education level (p<0.001), and increasing the income(p<0.01), the number of those who managed the account book tended to be higher. Usually they bought their foods at the market place (52.1%) and they did every other days(33.2%). The 46.9% planned what to buy and chose the best ones among the foods they planned to buy at the market. The percentage of those who prepared their menus planned in advance was only 5.5%. The most homemakers cooked for themselves (96.8%). On cooking and buying foods, the 48.2% considered their husbands first and the 64.4% regarded the tastes and needs of their families as the most important thing. The majority (66.2%) regarded the dinner as the most important among those three times of meals. The 39.6% prepared Kimchi twice a month. The foods they prepared for each meal were usually 4-5 kinds (43.2%). Mostly they prepared meals three times a day (49.1%). The average times spent in preparing and cleaning the tables for lunch and breakfast were 41.6, 96.2 minutes respectively. The homemakers who had jobs tended to spend less time in preparing and clearing the tables than those who had not (p<0.01, p<0.001). The 58.0% had complaints in that the food prices were too high and their moneys for meal preparation were insufficient and the 16.6% had difficulty in satisfying the tastes of their families.
The purpose of this study was to analyze employees' practice levels and knowledge of sanitation at school foodservice operations, to examine the sanitation conditions of current school foodservice, and to suggest an effective sanitary training program. A questionnaire survey was conducted on a total of 578 subjects and 501 reponses were made available for this study. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS of windows. The main results can be summarized as follows: Training through handouts was the most effective (53.2%) and lack of time caused by overwork (57.1%) made the practice of sanitation training difficult. The degree of employees' perceptions of the necessity of sanitary training programs was marked at 4.18 points. According to the foodservice employees' evaluation about the knowledge of sanitation concerning the sanitary training program contents, the area of environmental sanitation (96.3%) was the highest while food poisoning control (72.9%) was lowest. Foodservice employees' practice levels was ranked above 4 points (out of 5 points) in 9 areas. Practice levels of cleaning and disinfection management were highest while that of safety management was lowest. About the food service employees' practice levels of sanitation, the degree of practice and the application of knowledge was 4.39 points. There was a significantly positive correlation between the practice level of sanitation and sanitation knowledge(p<.01). Thus, educational material needs to be standardized in order to improve employees' sanitation practice level.

Utilization of spent RHDM(Residue Hydrodemetallation) catalyst as de-NOx SCR(Selective Catalytic Reduction) catalyst was studied by conducting by heptane cleaning and high-temperature roasting for removal of deposited carbon and sulfur. Followed by oxalic acid leaching was carried out for controlling excess vanadium deposited on spent RHDM catalyst in search of appropriate vanadium loadings for the best SCR performance and the leaching conditions are 5~15wt% concentration of oxalic acid and 5min leaching time at $50^{\circ}C$ with the ultra-sonic agitator. De-NOx activities of prepared and commercial SCR catalyst were measured by the atmospheric SCR catalyst performance test unit, their residual content were also carried out by ICP, C&S Analysis and XRF. Acid leaching (AL-10) catalyst showed the highest de-NOx efficiency of all prepared catalysts and the de-NOx efficiency over wash coated catalyst(WC-AL-10) was equivalent to that of commercial SCR catalyst. Therefore the possibility of using as SCR catalyst for each application by adjusting treatment conditions of spent RHDM catalyst was found and further research will be needed in detail for the its commercialization.

With the increasing number of dog markets in modern society, dog owners are deeply rooted in our lives and affecting society. Following this trend, a variety of products have recently been introduced, and it is believed that they have not yet developed much in functional aspect of the post-cleaning system. Due to the busy social life of modern people in everyday life, there is no room to manage dogs in terms of time, cost and environment, which is causing problems. In order to avoid these problems, we are going to develop Eduardo, infrared sensor modules, and automatic pump systems. It is also designed to make it more convenient for users through a laxation pad automatic washing machine.
Laser has been called a "Quantum Machine" because of its mechanism of generation since the development on July 7,1960.by T.H.Maiman. We can now use this machine as a tool for manufacturing in industries. At present, 45kW CO2 laser, 10kW Nd:YAG laser, 6kW LD pumped YAG laser and 4kW direct diode laser facilities are available for welding a heavy steel plate of 40mm in thickness and for cutting metals at high speed of 140m/min. Laser Materials Processing is no longer a scientific curiosity but a modern tool in industries. Lasers in manufacturing sector are currently used in welding, cutting, drilling, cladding, marking, cleaning, micro-machining and forming. Recently, high power laser diode, 10kW LD pumped YAG laser, 700W fiber laser and excimer laser have been developed in the industrialized countries. As a result of large numbers of research and developments, the modem laser materials processing has been realized and used in all kinds of industries now. In the present paper, metallurgical studies on laser materials processing such as porosity formation, hot cracking and the joint performances of steels and aluminum alloys and dissimilar joint are discussed after the introduction of laser facilities and laser applications in industries such as automotive industry, electronics industry, and steel making industry. The wave towards the use of laser materials processing and its penetration into many industries has started in many countries now. Especially, development of high power/quality diode laser will be accelerate the introduction of this magnificent tool, because of the high efficiency of about 50%, long life time and compact.
Organic fouling observed in submerged membrane filtration as a pretreatment for seawater desalination increases energy consumption for membrane operation because of requiring frequent chemical cleaning and membrane replacement. In membrane pretreatment for seawater facing with algae blooms, membrane fouling was observed in submerged microfiltration using sodium alginate model compound which is one of the main components of extracellular polymeric substances. Without aeration, aglinate fouling increased with its concentration while aeration reduced the alginate fouling effectively regardless of its concentration tested. In the absence of aeration, alingate fouling tended to be decreased with increasing calcium concentration. However, this effectiveness was reduced by increasing sodium chloride concentration. At high concentration of sodium chloride and calcium similar to the seawater conditions, aeration reduced initial fouling. However, as time progressed, the effect of increased airflow rate on fouling reduction was not significant, implying that optimum airflow rate to control alginate fouling in submerged microfiltration can exist.
Experiments on photochemical reactions of purified air alone in an indoor smog chamber were carried out after flushing Teflon bags with purified air for many hours in order to check the level of contamination on the chamber wall. Ozone concentrations were linearly increased from <4 ppb up to about 8 ppb with irradiation time for four hours. Outgassing of NOx from the chamber wall was found to be less than 1 ppb. New ultrafine particles were formed and grown up to about 70 nm during the photochemical reactions, and then total number and mass concentrations of particles were increased from <10 particles/$cm^3$ up to about 4,000 particles/$cm^3$ and $1.3{\mu}g/m^3$, respectively. The wall conditions of these Teflon bags flushed with purified air might not severly affect the chamber experimental results for photochemical reactions of polluted urban ambient air. The difference of gaseous species between two chambers was 2.4 ppb of ozone at most, indicating that the wall cleaning performance of two chambers was nearly similar.
