In this article, Pt/TiO2 was manufactured in the form of powder and honeycomb, and the influence of SO2, which is a poisonous substance to catalyst, and regeneration method were investigated. The catalytic activity of Pt/TiO2 before and after the exposure to SO2 was also compared. The initial activity of Pt/TiO2 was proportional to the injected H2 concentration (1~5%). And the optimum temperature of the catalyst and conversion rate of H2 were 183 ℃ and 95%, respectively. It was confirmed that when exposing 2,800 ppm of SO2 to the powder and honeycomb Pt/TiO2, the performance of catalyst was not measurable and also 0.69% sulfur (S) remained on the catalyst surface. As a result of the cleaning and heat treatment for the poisoning catalyst, the activity of the powder catalyst exhibited a conversion rate of H2 greater than 96%. Whereas, the honeycomb catalyst showed a conversion rate of H2 greater than 95% when it was regenerated through the heat treatment of H2 or air atmosphere.

Purpose: This study was done to investigate the status of disinfection and sterilization in healthcare facilities. Method: A survey of 193 Korean healthcare facilities was conducted from February 8 to March 7, 2013. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$ test, Fisher's exact test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe with SPSS WIN 18.0. Results: Of the healthcare facilities 93.2% had specific guidelines for disinfection/sterilization, but only 47.9% had a committee on disinfection/sterilization for decision-making, less than half (42.7%) conducted regular monitoring of actual practices, while 83.9% had established procedures for recovery in case of problems with the disinfection process and 89.0% kept records and archives of disinfection practices. Cleaning process, selection of chemical disinfectants and process of disinfection and sterilization were found to be inadequate in some healthcare facilities. Perception score for adequacy of medical instruments was 8.10, environmental disinfection was 7.20, and sterilizer management was 8.45 out of a possible 10. Conclusion: Compared to larger institutions, smaller healthcare facilities had less effective disinfection and sterilization management systems, while some facilities showed inadequate practices for medical equipment and general sterilization. Better academic and state-level support is recommended for smaller facilities in order to establish a better system-wide management system.
Seawater circulations between a bay and the open sea play an important role to make the ecosystem healthy, providing nutrient and oxygen to the benthic environments and cleaning up pollutions. The health of the benthic environment in a bay is closely related to the flushing characteristics of seawater. In this study, to estimate the seawater distribution and circulation characteristics of benthic environment in the Geunso bay, we calculated the hydraulic turn-over time by a hydro-hypsographic analysis. Digital elevation model (DEM) which was generated using waterline method based upon remotely sensed data and water depth of the subtidal zone estimated by echo-sounding survey was applied to the hydro-hypsograhic analysis through a geographic information system (GIS) spatial analysis. The results showed that 95% of the total area of the bay was tidal flat and the hydraulic turn-over time was 1.03 tidal cycle, which indicated that the flushing characteristics of the Geunso bay was very good. Geunso bay was revealed to occupy relatively wide area of benthic environment and to have relatively big tidal range over other domestic and foreign coastal environment, therefore it could have a better seawater circulation characteristics. This result can be effectively applied as fundamental information to establish the system for a quantitative estimate of health of coastal environment in the west coast of Korea and manage the ecosystem in benthic environments.

Purpose: Recently, lighting energy consumption in buildings has been gradually increasing and more studies are being carried out in order to solve this problem. Especially, the efficiency of the light-shelf system, which is a natural lighting system, has been recognized as a potential solution in addressing this problem and so various studies regarding the light-shelf system are being conducted. However, if high luminance material is used for the light-shelf system, glaring may occur in certain circumstances even though such material increases efficiency, and there are also difficulties related to maintenance and management in the case of an external light-shelf system. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to suggest modifications in relation to the reflectivity of the light-shelf system and introduce a rolling type light-shelf system with built-in cleaning equipment. In addition, a performance evaluation technique was established to verify its effectiveness. Method: In this study, we reviewed previous studies related to the light-shelf system and its performance. Then a testbed was established to assess the performance of the rolling-type light-shelf system suggested in this study. Also, the performance of the rolling-type light-shelf system suggested in this study was compared and analyzed with that of existent light-shelf systems in order to better verify the performance, and the uniformity ratio of illumination and lighting energy consumption were calculated for this purpose. Result: The results of the performance evaluation are as follows. 1) The performance evaluation result of the light-shelf system on the day of the summer solstice shows that $30^{\circ}$ is appropriate for the angle of light-shelf system, and the depth of the incoming natural light also increases as the angle of the light shelf increases. 2) It is possible to improve the uniformity ratio of illumination by increasing the reflectivity of the light shelf, and the reason for this is the increase in the amount of incoming light entering indoors due to the increased reflectivity of the light shelf. 3) The rolling type light-shelf system suggested in this study enables energy saving in comparison with existent light-shelf systems, and when the external illuminance decreases to 60,000 lx and 40,000 lx during the summer solstice due to factors such as the weather, the suggested light-shelf system can save energy by 12.1% and 5.1% respectively. Thus the light-shelf system proposed in this study is deemed to be effective in reducing energy costs.

In chip plating, several parameters must be taken into consideration. Current density, solution concentration, pH, solution temperature, components volume, chip and media ratio, barrel geometrical shape were most likely found to have an effect to the process yields. The 3 types of barrels utilized in chip plating industry are the conventional rotating barrel. vibrational barrel (vibarrel), and the centrifugal type. Conventional rotating barrel is a close type and is commonly used. The components inside the barrel are circulated by the barrel's rotation at a horizontal axis. Process yield has known to have higher thickness deviation. The vibrational barrel is an open type which offers a wide exposure to electrolyte resulting to a stable thickness deviation. It rotates in a vertical axis coupled with multi-vibration action to facilitate mixed up and easy transportation of components, The centrifugal barrel has its plated work centrifugally compacted against the cathode ring for superior electrical contact with simultaneous rotary motion. This experiment has determined the effect of barrel vibration intensity to the plating thickness distribution. The procedures carried out in the experiment involved the overall plating process., cleaning, rinse, Nickel plating, Tin-Lead plating. Plating time was adjusted to meet the required specification. All other parameters were maintained constant. Two trials were performed to confirm the consistency of the result. The thickness data of the experiment conducted showed that the average mean value obtained from higher vibrational intensity is nearer to the standard mean. The distribution curve shown has a narrower specification limits and it has a reduced variation around the target value, Generally, intensity control in vi-barrel facilitates mixed up and easy transportation of components, However, it is desirable to maintain an optimum vibration intensity to prevent solution intrusion into the chips' internal electrode. A cathodic reaction can occur in the interface of the external and internal electrode. $2HD{\;}+{\;}e{\;}{\rightarrow}20H{\;}+{\;}H_2$ Hydrogen can penetrate into the body and create pressure which can cause cracks. At high intensity, the chip's motion becomes stronger, its contact between each other is delayed and so plating action is being controlled. However, the strong impact created by its collision can damage the external electrode's structure thereby resulting to bad plating condition. 1 lot of chip was divided into two equal partion. Each portion was loaded to the same barrel one after the other. Nickel plating and tin-lead plating was performed in the same station. Portion A maintained the normal barrel vibration intensity and portion B vibration intensity was increased two steps higher. All other parameters, current, solution condition were maintained constant. Generally, plating method find procedures were carried out in a best way to maintained the best plating condition. After plating, samples were taken out from each portion. molded and polished. Plating thickness was investigated for both. To check consistency of results. 2nd trial was done now using different lot of another characteristics.

With the development of ICT technology, the indoor utilization of robots is increasing. Research on transportation, cleaning, guidance robots, etc., that can be used now or increase the scope of future use will be advanced. To facilitate the use of mobile robots in indoor spaces, the problem of self-location recognition is an important research area to be addressed. If an unexpected collision occurs during the motion of a mobile robot, the position of the mobile robot deviates from the initially planned navigation path. In this case, the mobile robot needs a robust controller that enables the mobile robot to accurately navigate toward the goal. This research tries to address the issues related to self-location of the mobile robot. A robust position recognition system was implemented; the system estimates the position of the mobile robot using a combination of encoder information of the mobile robot and the absolute space coordinate transformation information obtained from external video sources such as a large number of CCTVs installed in the room. Furthermore, vector field histogram method of the pass traveling algorithm of the mobile robot system was applied, and the results of the research were confirmed after conducting experiments.
During the period of 1933-1994, house dusts were collected from 65 homes at 10 different localities by operating electric vacuum cleaners. House dust mites were isolated from 10 g dust by applying the modified wet sieving method. Total 7,257 mites were collected and 23 species were identified. Among them, Demctophqgoines loyinaf (DF) was predominant (65. Soy) of the total) , followed by D. pteronvssinus (DP) (20.6%) and Tyrophagus nutrescentios (TP) (6.5%) . Rhizoglvphur robini, Sancqsscnin phvIlophogiann, Cheyletus trcussarti and Scheloribates latipes were the first findings from Korea. DF was predominant in Seoul (66.8%), Kwangju (63.6%), inland of Pusan (79.6%1, Inchon (96.5%), Taejon (83.9%), Chouju (87.15) and Chongiu (95.2%), whereas DP was predominant in Yongkwang-ub (72.5%) and Yongdo (island) of Pusan (64.9%), and TP in Chunchon (38.2%) The localities where DP and TP were predominant showed higher relative humidity in air (> 73% RH) . Among 62 study homes, DF, DP and TP were found in 24.6% of the homes, co-habitat of two species in 48.1% and one species in 27.3%. DF was predominant in 63.5% of the homes studied, DP in 29.6% and TP in 6.9%. In 10 g of the house dust, less than 99 mites were found in 49 homes (70.0%), 100-499 mites in 11 homes (15.7%), 500-999 mites in 3 homes (4.3%) and more than 1,000 mites in 2 homes (2.9%). No mite was found in 5 homes (7.1%). In order to evaluate environmental factors affecting the population density of house dust mites, house type, age of house construction, size of the house, number of the family and frequency of the cleaning were compared with the number of mites, and none of the above factors were statistically correlated with the mite density.

Wet wipes are being increasingly used because of their convenience. Particularly, oral wet wipes are useful for regular cleaning of a baby's mouth after birth. Therefore, the consumption of oral wet wipes has increased over the past few years and a variety of products are commercially available. However, product information on safety is not sufficiently provided and still raises doubts regarding adverse effects. To confirm the safety of wet wipes as an oral hygiene item and provide information for their use, we investigated the cytotoxicity of oral wet wipes and verified the underlying mechanism. The anti-bacterial effect of oral wet wipes was analyzed using the disk diffusion method. The cytotoxic effects of oral wet wipes were observed based on morphological changes using microscopy and determined using a 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay in gingival epithelial cells and gingival fibroblasts. Evaluation of apoptosis by oral wet wipes was explored using propidium iodide flow cytometric analysis and a terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT)-mediated deoxyuridine triphosphate (dUTP) nick-end labeling (TUNEL) assay. Apoptosis-related molecules were also analyzed using western blotting. Five types of oral wet wipes were tested, and two products from Fisher-Price and Dr. Kennedy revealed strong cytotoxic effects on gingiva epithelial cells and gingiva fibroblasts, although they also showed intense anti-bacterial effects on oral bacteria. Cell cycle arrest in the G2/M phase and apoptosis were observed based on treatment of extracts from Fisher-Price and Dr. KENNEDY. Relatively high TUNEL levels, reduction of proliferating cell nuclear antigen and cyclin-dependent kinase 4 expression, and fragmentation of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase were also elucidated. These results suggest that commercial oral wet wipes could exert cytotoxic influences on oral tissue, although there are anti-bacterial effects, and careful attention is required, especially for infants and toddlers.
A vast amount of traffic data is produced every day from detection devices but this data includes a considerable amount of errors and missing values. Moreover, this information is periodically deleted before it could be used as important analysis information. Therefore, this paper discusses the implementation of an integrated traffic history database system that continuously stores the traffic data as a multidimensional model and increases the validity and completeness of the data via a flow of processing steps, and provides a what-if analysis function. The implemented system provides various techniques to correct errors and missing data patterns, and a what-if analysis function that enables the analysis of results under various conditions by allowing the flexible definition of various process related environment variables and combinations of the processing flows. Such what-if analysis functions dramatically increase the usability of traffic data but are not provided by other traffic data systems. Experimantal results for cleaning the traffic history data showed that it provides superior performance in terms of validity and completeness.
