기계부품의 세척성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Cleaning-ability Evaluation for Mechanical Components)

  • The need for remanufacturing ships and various mechanical components continues to increase along with environmental problems. Research on remanufacturing is being carried out in various fields, but research on cleaning is quite insufficient. In particular, there is no research on the cleaning-ability of diverse mechanical components. In order to increase the life cycle of mechanical components, remanufacturing must be considered from the step of design. Particularly, it is also very important to evaluate the degree of easiness in cleaning to remove various pollutants generated by long-term use quickly as well as easily. In this study, the degree of easiness in cleaning is defined as cleaning-ability. In fact, remanufacturing components can be easily done only when cleaning-ability is set high from the step of design. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the cleaning-ability of ships and various mechanical components. The details of easiness in cleaning are cleaning and drying identification, accessibility to cleaning tools, convenience in cleaning, and convenience in drying. This study presents a quantitative procedure to evaluate cleaning-ability, derived various factors influencing each of the details of easiness and their ranges, and gave scores to the factors according to their ranges. The weight was also calculated for the details of easiness in cleaning and the factors. Lastly, this researcher suggests a scoring procedure to evaluate cleaning-ability quantitatively and the total weight of cleaning-ability.

지하철 공기청정을 위한 2유체노즐형 자동세정 공기청정 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (Performance Evaluation of Automatic Self-Cleaning Filter System using Twin-Fluid Nozzles for Air Cleaning in the Subway Stations)

  • The removal of the dusts in the subway stations, tunnels, factories and buildings becomes issue for comfortable indoor and outdoor conditions. There has been used an automatic self-cleaning filter system to collect the dusts. In general, the collected particles are removed by water spray nozzles. The new design for improving the cleaning efficiency of collected dusts and reducing the supplied water is the concept of the plane array of demister filters and the twin-fluid nozzle for mixing compressed air and water in the automatic self-cleaning filter system. Results show that the cleaning efficiency of twin-nozzle filter systems is 99.1%, compared to 47% in the conventional filter system. Therefore the automatic self-cleaning filter system using twin-fluid nozzle filter systems reduces water supplied in the filter system, and increases cleaning efficiency and drying efficiency.

Evaluation of Particle Removal Efficiency during Jet Spray and Megasonic Cleaning for Aluminum Coated Wafers

  • Among various wet cleaning methods, megasonic and jet spray gained their popularity in single wafer cleaning process for the efficient removal of particulate contaminants from the wafer surface. In the present study, we evaluated these two cleaning methods for particle removal efficiency (PRE) and pattern damage on the aluminum layered wafer surface. Also the effect of $CO_2$ dissolved water in jet spray cleaning is assessed by measuring PRE. It is observed that the jet spray cleaning process is more effective in terms of PRE and pattern damage compared to megasonic cleaning and the mixing of $CO_2$ in the water during jet sprays further increases the PRE. We believe that the outcome of the present study is useful for the semiconductor cleaning process engineers and researchers.

  • To support the expansion of the autonomous robot market, the establishment of evaluation standards of the robot performance are essential. In this paper, to venture the standardization of the performance evaluation of the autonomous robot, the authors take the autonomous cleaning robot(ACR) as the initial stepping stone. Recently, the ACR has been being developed and marketed actively in many countries including Korea and it believes to be the fore-runner among various types of autonomous robot products. Standards of the performance evaluation for the ACR could be easily modified and applied to other autonomous robots. This paper formulates and suggests a group of standards for the performance evaluation based on a evaluation platform for the ACR. The newly developed performance evaluation platform has been designed to include all the important aspects of living environments in reality. In the platform the performance of the ACR is measured in terms of mobility, cleaning performance, avoidance of obstruction(safety), and operation noise. A few commercially available ACR products are collected and tested in the evaluation platform and compared against the performance evaluation standards formulated.

브러시 및 워터젯을 이용한 풍력 발전 블레이드 표면 청소 효율 측정 (Efficiency Evaluation of Wind Power Blade Surface Cleaning using Brush and Water Jet)

  • Blades of wind energy plants are exposed to external shocks or internal cracks during operation. Furthermore, the blade surfaces can be contaminated by substances such as dust, blood of birds, salt or insects which can decrease the electricity generation efficiency significantly. For this reason, many blade cleaning companies started to appear and a variety of methods for cleaning were suggested. Despite these diverse methods, there has been no study to investigate how effectively to clean the substances in quantitative manner. In this paper, the cleaning efficiency of two rotor blade cleaning methods, brush and water-jet, is examined through experiments by changing operating parameters. Then, the optimal operating conditions for both methods are derived.

수계세정제의 첨가제에 따른 세정성 평가연구 (Evaluation of Cleaning Ability of Aqueous Cleaning Agents according to their Additives)

  • 산업세정제 중에서 환경친화적이라 대체 세정제로 유망한 수계세정제를 배합하고 임의 세정성을 평가하였다. 수계세정제 배합시 EO부가 몰수가 3, 5, 7인 primary alcohol ethoxylate계열의 비이온계면활성제를 주계면활성제(S)로 하고 음이온계면활성제, 알코올류 등을 보조계면활성제(A)로 하여 수계세정제를 배합하였고, 이들 배합비(A/S)에 따른 절삭유와 그리스의 혼합오염물에 대한 세정성을 평가하였다. 또한 builder인 NaOH, KOH, $Na_2CO_3$, $NaHCO_3$를 첨가하여 세정효율 향상을 평가하였다. 세정성 평가 실험결과 보조계면활성제로는 음이온계면활성제인 Triethanolamine Lauryl Sulfate(TLS) 사용 시에 가장 세정효율이 좋았고, builder로는 NaOH, $Na_2CO_3$가 우수한 세정효율을 보여주었다.

  • In this paper we present a guideline to evaluate how easy the use of personal robots is and how good their learning abilities are, based on the analysis of their built-in commands, user interfaces, and intelligences. Recently, we are living with robots that can be able to do lots of roles; cleaning, security, pets and education in real life. They can be classified as home robots, guide robots, service robots, robot pets, and so on. There we, however, no standards to evaluate their abilities, so it is not easy to select an appropriate robot when a user wants to buy it. Thus, we present, as a guideline that can be a standard for the evaluation of the personal robots, the standards by means of analyzing existing personal robots and results of the recent research works. We will, also, demonstrate how to apply the evaluation method to the cleaning robot as an example.

  • Membrane fouling is an unavoidable phenomenon and major obstacle in the economic and efficient operation under sea water reverse osmosis (SWRO). When fouling occurs on the membrane surface, the permeate quantity and quality decrease, the trans-membrane pressure (TMP) and operation costs increase, and the membrane may be damaged. Therefore, chemical cleaning process is important to prevent permeate flow from decreasing in RO membrane filtration process. This study focused on proper chemical cleaning condition for Shuaibah RO plant in Saudi Arabia. Several chemical agents were used for chemical cleaning at different contact time and concentrations of chemicals. Also autopsy analysis was performed using LOI, FT-IR, FEEM, SEM and EDX for assessment of fouling. Specially, FEEM analysis method was thought as analyzing and evaluating tool available for selection of the first applied chemical cleaning dose to predict potential organic fouling. Also, cleaning time should be considered by the condition of RO membrane process since the cleaning time depends on the membrane fouling rate. If the fouling exceeds chemical cleaning guideline, to perfectly remove the fouling, certainly, the chemical cleaning is increased with membrane fouling rate influenced by raw water properties, pre-treatment condition and the point of the chemical cleaning operation time. Also choice of cleaning chemicals applied firstly is important.

  • As the big data analysis technologies has been developed worldwide, the importance of asset management for electric power facilities based data analysis is increasing. It is essential to secure quality of data that will determine the performance of the RISK evaluation algorithm for asset management. To improve reliability of asset management, asset data must be preprocessed. In particular, the process of cleaning dirty data is required, and it is also urgent to develop an algorithm to reduce time and improve accuracy for data treatment. In this paper, the result of the development of an automatic cleaning algorithm specialized in overhead transmission asset data is presented. A data cleaning algorithm was developed to enable data clean by analyzing quality and overall pattern of raw data.
