The recent software education in middle schools is focused on physical computing, unplugged learning and pilot training. However, they are struggling in many ways, including cost, inducement of interest, motivation, and concentration. Also, the lack of systematic classroom design could make negative effect to students' understanding of classes or academic performance. In this paper, we intend to study the method of algorithm education using Chatbot system, which will increase efficiency of software education, with less burdensome in terms of cost, and also could be able to used as an assist tool in various classes. In class scenarios that require the understanding of coding mechanisms such as function application, algorithm design, and program coding, students can learn by themselves through the Chatbot system, which has a positive effect on student learning.
This study is a follow-up paper on "Development of flipped learning class model for nail beauty education" published by Seol (2022). This model was conducted from March to June 2022 for 70 students taking the "Nail color design 1" course. After 15 weeks of class, a survey of the students' perceptions of flipped learning and their self-evaluation of goal achievement was conducted, which was composed of questionnaires using a 5-step Likert scale. 15 questions were designed to evaluate the students' satisfaction with their experience and class operations; 4 questions to evaluate whether the class goal had been reached through flipped learning; and 9 questions to evaluate the students' perceptions of flipped learning. As a result of applying this model to theoretical and practical nail beauty classes, it was confirmed that flipped learning helped students better understand the content and had a positive effect on learning, while the subject's educational goals were also achieved. By evaluating the students' perceptions of flipped learning, we may conclude that they experienced learning satisfaction and perceived the approach positively. Moreover, they have expressed a desire for additional flipped learning. This study is thus meaningful in confirming the procedure's effectiveness by applying the flipped classroom model to theoretical and practical subjects with a focus on the nail beauty field, and showing how it achieved students' positive perceptions and educational goals.

The downsizing of schools is accelerating due to a rapid decline in the school-age population, and as the crisis over regional and school disappearance increases, the need for smaller schools to respond to future educational needs is increasing. Through flexible curricula and digital/artificial intelligence-based classroom teaching improvements, students' satisfaction with school life, student creativity and character development, improved academic achievement, and strengthened cooperative communication capabilities will be observed, and teachers' teaching and learning methods will change. Educational effects such as these are important, and transforming school facilities into future-oriented spaces, including school space innovation, is required to accomplish them. This study examined the future of education systems in small schools, focusing on analyzing the educational effects and awareness of the sustainability of spatial innovation, in terms of school space changes, school education correlation, and smart environment, to develop innovation projects in small schools. A desirable direction for implementation is presented.
This study aimed to propose an innovative teaching pedagogy using a half-scale body form in apparel design education and evaluate its effectiveness in augmenting students' understanding of ergonomic patterns. Constructed in alignment with Phoenix's (2018) study, which used 3D body scanning and digital editing software, the half-scale body form was created through a five-step process, encompassing body measurement, 3D body modeling, fabrication of a physical half-scale body form, pattern making, and evaluation. Implemented in an undergraduate patternmaking course offered at a 4-year university in the metropolitan Seoul, this instructional approach's effectiveness was gauged through students' course projects and exit interviews. The results underscored the positive impact of the proposed teaching pedagogy on students' grasp of ergonomic pattern development, fostering a keen understanding of diverse body shapes and sizes and the relationship between the human body and garments. Furthermore, it played a role in cultivating positive body image and self-endorsement among students. The research contributes meaningfully by presenting a fresh perspective in apparel design education, seamlessly integrating advanced anthropometric and technological tools into a conventional patternmaking classroom. It offers a novel learning experience for students majoring in apparel, creating a fun and interactive teaching environment.
The purpose of this study is to design, develope, and deploy of online game content in middle school mathematics. This study analyzed related literature review, case studies, and educational game web sites for seeking better applicable design strategies. After serious discussion with experts based the design ideas, this study established its own educational game design model and it was applied to develop algebraic function lesson for middle school students. The developed content also was deployed in real classroom setting to see how students received the game contents and how. well they processed the design procedures and activities. We found that educational online game content, especially when applied to mathematics subject, can be effective in students interests and their motivations. We also observed that there were a few managerial errors such as need for detailed guidance for game, cumulative game results for later feedback, and so on. This study concluded that educational game contents should be able to widely spread out to get students' learning interests and strong motivation as well. We suggest that related research should be done toward to other subject than mathmatics and various students age groups.

Maker movement is emerging as one of the key areas of the fourth industrial revolution in recent years. The maker movement is to create and share what users need using a variety of inexpensive production tools such as open source software and hardware, 3D printers and laser cutters. We think that the effect would be enhanced if design thinking is applied to elementary and middle school (K-12) class. The purpose of this study is to develop a design thinking-based maker education program and to apply it to classroom for clarify the effect on the creative problem solving ability of elementary school students. In order to verify the purpose of the research, students in the 5th-6th grades of elementary school were divided into a controlled group and an experimental group. The general lecture maker class was applied in the controlled group, and our developed design thinking-based maker class was simultaneously applied in the experimental group. The creative problem solving ability test was conducted before and after the test, and its effectiveness was verified using statistical t-test. In conclusion, this study suggests that design thinking-based maker education program has a positive effect on elementary school students' creative problem solving ability.

The purpose of this study is to examine the degree of appropriateness of using design quality indicators for the educational building, and complements for design quality indicators. For doing this, each items of the Korean educational building design indicator was validated by teachers, school staff and an education officer. First, School Personnel and Teachers considered indicators for the classroom designed for general subjects as being valid. However, in terms of indicators for the outside space, they thought of them as not being valid. In particular, it seemed that school staff would have a passive attitude toward the open of the school facility for the local society. It is judged that there happens an adverse effect caused by the open of the school facility for the local society in the educational environment of the school. Second, Education Office Supervisors thought that eco-friendly indicators, LED lighting, an outer wall, and widows and doors had a high validity. On the contrary, he viewed the validity of a rainwater retention basin as being low, which was likely because he rarely had expertise on the construction. When it comes to the indicator of technology capability, ultrahigh-speed information network was seen as being valid, and the indicator of economic feasibility had high validity on maintenance and durability. Third, compared to groups of Teachers and School Personnel, the group of education officers presented high validity of indicators. Validity of indicators might be differently showed because different items on indicators were measured. However, it is speculated that Education Office Supervisors mostly acknowledged the validity of indicators. Fourth, a majority of Teachers, School staff, and Education Office Supervisors were favor of the system of the evaluation accreditation for school facilities since it played a guide role in improving the quality of school. In order to settle the system of the evaluation accreditation for school facilities, it is most important that institutions in the local society which are publicly reliable should participate in the phase of designing the system of the evaluation accreditation for school facilities. In sum, overall respondents agreed with the system of the evaluation accreditation for school facilities but were aware that reliable organizations in public would need to take part in planning the system of the evaluation accreditation for school facilities from the beginning.
This study is to design, develope, and deploy of e-learning inquiry based content in elementary science class. First, this study analyzed related literature review, case studies, and inquiry based class models for seeking better applicable design and development modes. From focus group meeting, experts discussed the inquiry content design ideas for elementary students for science class. This study finally established its own inquiry design mode for online science class with the flow of understanding of problem, sep up hypothesis, problem solving, and solution analysis. The developed content was deployed in real classroom setting to see how students received the contents and how well they processed the learning activities. We found that inquiry based online content, especially when applied to science subject, can be effective in students interests and their motivations. We also observed that there were a few managerial errors such as detailed lesson guidance and tutor support for students activities. This study concluded that inquiry based online contents should be designed considering students interests based on learning subjects and also developed in terms of students interests and strong motivation as well. We suggest that related research should be expanded toward to other subject than science and various students age groups.
