Korean Classical Music, as the abbreviated wording for 'Korean Music', is being used as the indicating phraseology for our traditional music that distinguishing from Western Music, the foreign music or foreign-styled popular music. Since such Korean Classical Music has the different acoustic characteristics from Western Music, it needs its own performance space for the special exclusive-use of Korean Classical Music. Likewise, even though the demand for the performance space of special exclusive-use for Korean Classical Music where Korean Classical Music is rendering, is on increasing tendency due to the increase of national concern about traditional culture art, since it is being planned without any concrete standard or method that gratifies the supreme listening condition, it is the real situation that a securement of the satisfying acoustic condition is very difficult, after the completion of construction. On such viewpoint, in order to evaluate the acoustic characteristics of the performance space of special exclusive-use for Korean Classical Music, based on the subjective response which reflects human being's psychological attribute at first, this Study has attempted to extract the proper evaluation vocabulary for appraisement on Korean Classical Music. The abstracted vocabulary in such way would be used significantly for Subjective Response Evaluation in order for the evaluation on the Acoustic Characteristics of the performance space of special exclusive-use for Korean Classical Music.

Purpose: The feasibility and differential effects of two music therapy methods (interventions with preferred music vs. classical relaxation music) were done to examine the effects on agitation and anxiety in patients weaning off mechanical ventilation. Methods: This pilot study was conducted using a crossover design. Six patients listened to preferred music choices and classical relaxation music. Anxiety scores were measured using the Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale (RASS), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), and visual analog scale (VAS). Results: Patients showed a significant decrease in agitation and anxiety after both the preferred and classical relaxation music interventions. The difference in the effects of preferred music and that of classical relaxation music was not significant. As for feasibility, patients exhibited a change in agitated behaviors after the music interventions by not trying to take off medical devices and quietly listening to the music, and by smiling and moving lips along with the lyrics while listening. Conclusion: Music interventions which centered on either patients' preferences or classical relaxation music to enhance relaxation, helped reduce agitation and anxiety during the mechanical ventilation weaning process.

본 연구는 신호이론을 기반으로 디지털 클래식 음원의 흥행 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 탐색적 실증분석을 진행하였다. 이를 위해 국내 음원 플랫폼 '지니'가 제공하는 클래식 주간차트를 활용하여 2020년 3월~2020년 10월까지(35주)의 기간 동안 차트 100위 내에 진입한 297개의 음원을 표본으로 설정하였다. 본 연구에서는 소비자들의 클래식 청취 선택에 영향을 줄 수 있는 신호로 아티스트의 수상 경력, 아티스트의 방송콘텐츠 연계, 클래식 음원차트 첫 주 상위권 진입, 기획사의 역량, 클래식 음악 레퍼토리의 대중성을 설정하여 이들이 해당 클래식 음원의 차트 상주기간에 미치는 영향을 통계적으로 검증하였다. 검증 결과, 아티스트의 방송콘텐츠 연계 여부와 클래식 음원차트 첫 주 상위권 진입 그리고 클래식 레퍼토리의 대중성이 클래식 음원의 차트 흥행에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 아티스트의 수상 경력과 기획사의 역량은 클래식 음원의 차트 흥행에 유의한 영향을 미치지 못했다. 본 연구는 경영학적 관점으로 수행된 클래식 음원의 흥행요인에 관한 최초의 실증적 연구로서 이후 클래식 관련 후속 연구에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다

The study examined a sentiment analysis based on Tweeter messages between contemporary pop musicians and classical music composers. Musicians of each genre were carefully selected for the sentiment analysis. Many opinion messages on Tweets that users have discussed were collected, and the messages were evaluated by using Naïve Bayes Classifier. The results demonstrated that users showed high positive sentiments for the two different genres. However, on average, the positive sentiment values for classical music composers are higher than for contemporary pop musicians. In addition, the rankings of the highest positive sentiments among contemporary pop musicians and classical music composers did not coincide with the popularity of the two different genres of musicians. This study will contribute to the study of future sentimental analysis between music and musicians.

This study proposed the design development of performance uniform for Korean classical music. To do this, we considered the state of the performance uniform of the Korean Classical Music Band through photographic data. The research targeted the performers in Korean Classical Music Band, and conducted a survey for the preference of type, pattern, decoration, color and fabric materials. Based on the results, we extracted the design of performance uniform, which is suitable for the environment of Korean classical music performance and meets the substantial requirements of performers. The performance uniform that the current national or public Korean classical music bands are using, has two types: Western clothing and Hanbok. The attire is influenced by the genre of the music that they are playing because one of its main functions is to deliver the music to audience effectively. In addition, there are some differences in the uniform based on the gender, but no division in the design of clothing according to music instruments. However, the result of the survey show that there was no difference in preference by gender, but there was some difference according to the division of music instruments. On this study, we reflected this result in the design, and proposed the design of an convenient outer garment for everyone to wear in the music performance band.

클래식 음악은 '작곡가가 쓴 그대로 연주해야 한다'란 엄격함이 존재했다. 그러나 다양한 개성과 사고를 중시하는 21세기 포스트모더니즘 시대에 들어서면서 전통 클래식 무대를 제외하곤 그 엄격함의 무게가 더 이상 유의미하지 않게 되었다. 클래식의 기품은 간직한 채 엄격한 규칙대신 대중음악의 친숙함을 접목시키며 크로스오버 된 오페라 아리아는 그 동안 어렵게만 느껴졌던 오페라 아리아가 대중들에게 한층 쉽게 다가가며 클래식의 대중화를 이끌어내는 큰 역할을 하게 되었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 클래식 음악을 크로스오버 음악으로 탈바꿈시키는 편곡기법에 관한 연구는 부족한 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구는 객관적 음악분석 방법인 화성, 리듬, 악기 편성 중심으로 기존 선행연구의 연구범위를 확대한 오페라에 대한 크로스오버적 편곡기법을 연구하였다. 분석결과, 원곡과 팝페라 버전은 리듬, 화성에는 유사성을 보이고 있으나 악기 편성에서는 차이점을 보이고 있다. 재즈 버전은 아프로큐반 리듬의 발라드 계열인 볼레로 리듬, 재즈 어쿠스틱 악기 중심의 구성, Tension을 많이 사용한 Voicing을 통해 클래식컬한 느낌을 없애고 재즈의 느낌으로 연출하여 원곡과의 차별을 보이고 있는 것이 특징이었다. 본 연구가 클래식컬 크로스오버 편곡기법 연구 자료로서 유용하게 쓰이길 바란다.

조성음악의 경우는 음악적 음들의 상대적 중요성의 위계를 기초로 음들을 조직화하는 원리를 채택하고 있다. 해당 음악에 익숙한 청자들은 이런 원리에 대한 공식적 훈련을 받지 않아도 이와 일치하는 내적 지식. 즉 조성 도식(tonal schema)을 내재화하고 있다. 본 연구는 서양 음악의 조성적 음 조직화 원리에는 친숙하지만 한국 전통 음악, 즉 국악에는 친숙하지 않은 서양 음악 전문가는 국악 음들의 조성적 측면을 어떻게 해석할지 알아보고자 하였다. 타 음악 문화에 대해 이루어진 선행 연구들에서는 실험 자극 내 음들의 발생 빈도, 지속시간 등의 피상적 정보가 비친숙한 음악의 조성 도식을 추출해내는 단서로 사용될 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 이런 가능성을 차단하기 위해 피상적 정보를 통제한 뒤 이 경우 서양 음악 전문가는 국악 음을 듣고 자신에게 친숙한 서양 음악의 조성 도식의 틀을 적용하여 음악적 관계를 해석한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 서양 음악 전문가가 국악 음을 서양 음악의 틀로 해석하여 국악의 조성 도식과 일치하지 않는 판단을 보이기는 하지만, 국악과 서양 음악 모두에 대해 초보 수준의 경험만 가지는 일반인보다는 국악 조성 도식에 유사한 해석을 보임으로써 국악과 서양 음각같이 한 스타일의 음악에 대한 경험은 다른 스타일의 음악을 보다 쉽고 적절하게 해석하는 것을 촉진하는 것으로 보인다.

With the development of artificial intelligence analysis methods, especially machine learning, various fields are widely expanding their application ranges. However, in the case of classical music, there still remain some difficulties in applying machine learning techniques. Genre classification or music recommendation systems generated by deep learning algorithms are actively used in general music, but not in classical music. In this paper, we attempted to classify opera among classical music. To this end, an experiment was conducted to determine which criteria are most suitable among, composer, period of composition, and emotional atmosphere, which are the basic features of music. To generate emotional labels, we adopted zero-shot classification with four basic emotions, 'happiness', 'sadness', 'anger', and 'fear.' After embedding the opera libretto with the doc2vec processing model, the optimal number of clusters is computed based on the result of the elbow method. Decided four centroids are then adopted in k-means clustering to classify unsupervised libretto datasets. We were able to get optimized clustering based on the result of adjusted rand index scores. With these results, we compared them with notated variables of music. As a result, it was confirmed that the four clusterings calculated by machine after training were most similar to the grouping result by period. Additionally, we were able to verify that the emotional similarity between composer and period did not appear significantly. At the end of the study, by knowing the period is the right criteria, we hope that it makes easier for music listeners to find music that suits their tastes.

본 연구는 서양 음악 콘텐츠를 담아 전달하는 인쇄 악보를 미디어의 관점에서 고찰하였다. 미디어 학자 맥루언은 오늘날의 미디어가 콘텐츠를 담아 전달하는 단순한 도구가 아닌 콘텐츠의 내용 자체에 지대한 영향을 끼치는 주체임을 주장하였다. 인쇄술로 인해 음악을 전달하는 미디어로 현재까지 통용되고 있는 인쇄 악보는 이전의 시대에는 가능치 않았던 악보의 대량 생산과 보편화를 형성시켰다. 그러나 대량 생산을 위해 행해진 편집 과정은 구술 또는 필사로 음악이 전달되던 시기에는 존재하지 않았던 편집자를 등장시켰고, 음악은 인쇄 악보라는 시각적 공간 속에 재단되었다. 본 연구는 악보의 대량 생산을 위해 행해진 편집이 기존에 존재하지 않던 기보법을 추가하였고 이로 인해 음악의 표준화가 일어났음을 주장하고자 한다. 이를 위해 요한 세바스찬 바흐의 바이올린 소나타 3번 '푸가'의 필사 악보와 인쇄 악보를 비교하고, 인쇄 악보 속에서 이루어지고 있는 표준화의 흔적을 증명함으로서 수 백 년 간 음악 미디어로 자리 잡고 있는 인쇄 악보에 드러난 음악 전달 방식의 적합성에 관하여 논하고자 한다.

융합의 개념은 효율과 성능 개선 등을 목적으로 서로 다른 기술이나 산업분야가 결합함으로써 존재하지 않았던 새로운 기능이나 서비스를 창출하는 현상을 말한다. 우리가 사는 지금 이 시대는 기술의 비약적인 발달로 인해 컨텐츠 생산 및 소비 환경이 급격히 변화하고 있으며, 각 분야의 경계가 소멸하는 방향으로 진행되고 있다. 이는 음악에도 적용된다. 1969년 재즈 연주자 마일스 데이비스에 의해 재즈와 록음악의 융합이 시도되었고, 클래식 또한 예외는 아니었다. 장르간의 크로스오버를 통해 엄격하게만 연주되었던 클래식은 그 틀을 벗어나 새로운 형식으로 거듭나게 되었다. 이러한 추세는 전 세계적으로 확산되었으며, 한국에서도 여러 뮤지션들에 의해 크로스오버가 시도되었다. 본 논문에서는 대중음악의 편곡기법을 활용하여 클래식 음악을 연주한 사례로, 1979년에 발표된 사랑과 평화 1집에 수록된 <여왕벌의 비행>, <베에토벤의 운명> 두 곡을 선정하였다. 각각의 곡은 원곡의 악보와 함께 나열하고 클래식과 훵크의 특징을 리듬섹션을 중심으로 분석하였다.
