조명 시뮬레이션을 위한 측광데이터의 생성과 적용 (A Study on the Generation and Application of Photometric Data for Lighting Simulation)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate how student felt the strengths and shortness of presentation methods for formation of interior spaces. For this study, the process of the interior architecture design class was divided into three stages: the programming. the design development, and the design completion. In the design development stage, students used presentation methods: hand sketch, scale model, computer modeling, and virtual realty. The strengths of hand sketch was that quick expression. Models provided three-dimensional feelings. Computer modelling provide realistic color and texture. Virtual reality provided three-dimensional immersion and real scale. It is effective that students collect brain storm images using quick hand sketch in the beginning of design development stage. After that, they compose interior spaces in study models with small scale. Watching the models, they design details of spaces by using hand sketch and computer modelling. Using virtual reality, they can check the scale and circulation. Finally, they complete computer modelling by texture mapping and check the final design in virtual reality.

NON-FRAGILE GUARANTEED COST CONTROL OF UNCERTAIN LARGE-SCALE SYSTEMS WITH TIME-VARYING DELAYS

  • The robust non-fragile guaranteed cost control problem is studied in this paper for class of uncertain linear large-scale systems with time-varying delays in subsystem interconnections and given quadratic cost functions. The uncertainty in the system is assumed to be norm-hounded arid time-varying. Also, the state-feedback gains for subsystems of the large-scale system are assumed to have norm-bounded controller gain variations. The problem is to design state feedback control laws such that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable and the closed-loop cost function value is not more than a specified upper bound far all admissible uncertainties. Sufficient conditions for the existence of such controllers are derived based on the linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach combined with the Lyapunov method. A parameterized characterization of the robust non-fragile guaranteed cost contrellers is 7iven in terms of the feasible solution to a certain LMI. Finally, in order to show the application of the proposed method, a numerical example is included.

퍼지 원 클래스 서포트 벡터 머신 (Fuzzy One Class Support Vector Machine)

  • OC-SVM(One Class Support Vector Machine)은 주어진 전체 데이터의 분포를 측정하는 대신에. 데이터 분포의 서포트(support)를 측정하는 기술로서 주어진 데이터를 가장 잘 설명할 수 있는 최적의 서포트 벡터(support vector)를 구하는 기술이다. OC-SVM은 데이터 분포의 표현에 아주 뛰어난 접근 방법이지만, 사람의 주관적인 중요도를 반영하는 것은 힘들다. 본 논문에서는 각 데이터에 퍼지 맴버쉽(fuzzy membership)을 적용하여 기존의 OC-SVM에 사용자의 주관적인 중요도를 표현할 수 있는 FOC-SVM(Fuzzy One class Support Vector Machine)을 유도 하였다. FOC-SVM은 데이터들을 동등하게 다루는 것이 아니라, 데이터 객체의 중요도에 따라 데이터를 다룬다. 즉, 덜 중요한 데이터의 특징 벡터는 OC-SVM의 처리과정에 덜 기여하도록 하기 위하여, 객체의 중요도에 따라 특징 벡터의 크기를 조정하였다. 이를 증명하기 위하여 가상의 데이터를 가지고 실험을 하였고, 실험 결과는 예측된 결과를 보여 주었다.

Express Train Seat Discomfort Evaluation using Body Pressure and Anthropometric Data

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate Korea's Honam express train's first- and second-class seat discomfort by using pressure measurement, subjective discomfort rating, and physical compatibility. Background: Over the years, the demand for an express train service is continually increasing. A comfortable ride is important to achieving passenger satisfaction. A train seat plays a significant role in fulfilling passenger seating comfort. With this in view, a field survey and pressure measurements were performed on the selected train seat. Method: The pressure ratio at the body-seat interface (thigh and buttock regions) was measured by the pressure mat system. The interface pressure ratio was calculated and compared. The subjective discomfort rating scale was used to evaluate the subjects' overall feeling. The dimensions of train seats were analysed according to the anthropometric and demographic characteristics of the population data from Size Korea. Results: The results highlighted that the interface pressure ratio was greater while participants sat on the second-class seat than the first-class seat in the left- and right-side thigh regions. Also the pressure ratio was greater for the participants in the 1st~25th percentile height groups (149.8~160.8cm). The subjects rated higher discomfort for the second-class seat than the first-class seat. The physical compatibility results showed that the second-class seat's breadth was inadequate for the 95th and 99th percentile male. Conclusion: Overall, interface pressure measurement, subjective discomfort score and physical compatibility results showed that the second-class seat was more uncomfortable for the passengers than the first-class seat. Application: The adopted methodologies could be used to measure the seating comfort of the train seats.

고등학교 지구과학 탐구활동에서 수업유형에 따른 학생들의 반성적 탐구의 특성 (Reflective Inquiry Disposition: Students' Responses to Different Class Types of Inquiry-based High School Earth Science)

  • 이 연구는 고등학교 지구과학 탐구활동에서 2가지 수업유형에 따라 나타나는 학생들의 반성적 탐구의 특징을 알아봄으로써 수업의 맥락에서 학생들의 반성적 탐구의 실제를 이해하고, 탐구활동 수업에서 반성적 탐구를 촉진하기 위한 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 기존의 탐구활동수업과 본 연구에서 개발한 반성적 탐구활동수업에서 반성적 탐구의 차이를 조사한 결과 반성적 탐구를 촉진하기 위해 개발된 반성적 탐구활동수업은 자료맥락의 다양한 요소와 연결된 반성적 탐구진술이 많아, 반성적 탐구의 양적 및 다양성의 측면에서 학생들의 반성적 탐구에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 이러한 결과로부터 학생들의 반성적 탐구를 활성화시키는 탐구활동 수업개발의 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다.

BAYESIAN ROBUST ANALYSIS FOR NON-NORMAL DATA BASED ON A PERTURBED-t MODEL

  • The article develops a new class of distributions by introducing a nonnegative perturbing function to $t_\nu$ distribution having location and scale parameters. The class is obtained by using transformations and conditioning. The class strictly includes $t_\nu$ and $skew-t_\nu$ distributions. It provides yet other models useful for selection modeling and robustness analysis. Analytic forms of the densities are obtained and distributional properties are studied. These developments are followed by an easy method for estimating the distribution by using Markov chain Monte Carlo. It is shown that the method is straightforward to specify distribution ally and to implement computationally, with output readily adopted for constructing required criterion. The method is illustrated by using a simulation study.

An Efficient Anti-collision Algorithm for the EPCglobal Class-1 Generation-2 System under the Dynamic Environment

  • Radio frequency identification (RFID) is an emerging wireless communication technology which allows objects to be identified automatically. The tag anti-collision is a significant issue for fast identifying tags due to the shared wireless channel between tags and the reader during communication. The EPCglobal Class-1 Generation-2 which uses Q algorithm for the anti-collision is widely used in many applications such as consumer electronic device and supply chain. However, the increasing application of EPCglobal Class-1 Generation-2 which requires the dynamic environment makes the efficiency decrease critically. Furthermore, its frame length (size) determination and frame termination lead to the suboptimal efficiency. A new anti-collision algorithm is proposed to deal with the two problems for large-scale RFID systems. The algorithm has higher performance than the Q algorithm in the dynamic environment. Some simulations are given to illustrate the performance.

  • A 3 MW class oxy-fuel boiler has been developed to capture $CO_2$ from the exhaust gas. The system is a scale-up of the previous 0.5 MW class system in general. A heat exchanger and a mixer are additionally installed to stabilize the flame for the FGR mode. The system yields the exhaust gas with $CO_2$ concentration over 90% and reduced NO emission to 1/10 of conventional air combustion system.

3D electromagnetic design and electrical characteristics analysis of a 10-MW-class high-temperature superconducting synchronous generator for wind power

  • In this paper, the general electromagnetic design process of a 10-MW-class high-temperature superconducting (HTS) synchronous generator that is intended to be utilized for large scale offshore wind generator is discussed. This paper presents three-dimensional (3D) electromagnetic design proposal and electrical characteristic analysis results of a 10-MW-class HTS synchronous generator for wind power. For more detailed design by reducing the errors of a two-dimensional (2D) design owing to leakage flux in air-gap, we redesign and analyze the 2D conceptual electromagnetic design model of the HTS synchronous generator using 3D finite element analysis (FEA) software. Then electrical characteristics which include the no-load and full-load voltage of generator, harmonic contents of these two load conditions, voltage regulation and losses of generator are analyzed by commercial 3D FEA software.

도시녹지 평가를 위한 경관지수의 스케일 민감성 분석 (Analysis of Scale Sensitivity of Landscape Indices for the Assessment of Urban Green Areas)

  • 경관지수는 면적 및 밀도, 모양, 중심지, 고립 및 접근, 접촉 및 산포, 연결성 등 경관생태의 공간적 구조와 패턴에 관한 다양한 정보를 제공해 준다. 현재 100개 이상의 경관지수가 개발되어 많은 연구들에 이들이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 경관지수는 공간해상도 및 분석범위 등 분석 스케일에 따라 다른 결과를 도출할 수 있어서 오류의 가능성을 가지고 있다. 이 연구는 경관지수의 스케일 민감성을 검토하여 우리나라의 복잡한 경관생태에서 비교적 안정적 결과를 도출하는 지수들을 선별하였다. 이를 위해 서울의 5개 연도 - 1985, 1991, 1996, 2000 및 2003년 - Landsat TM/ETM+ 영상을 이용하여 20 범주의 셀 크기와 41 범주의 분석범위에 대해 FRAGSTATS에 탑재된 54개 클래스 수준 지수의 민감성을 검토하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 54개 클래스 수준 지수 중 19개 지수가 스케일 변화에 안정적인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 단편화 정도가 지수의 민감성에 영향을 미치며, 녹지비율 $40{\sim}50%$를 기준으로 지수반응 패턴이 변하는 현상이 발견되었다. 셋째, 국내 관련연구에서 빈번히 이용된 16개 지수 중 6개만이 우리나라의 복잡한 경관생태에서 안정적인 결과를 도출하였는데, 이는 단편화 정도 및 녹지비율에 따라 세심한 지수 선정이 필요함을 보여주고 있다.
