(i) The development of a metallurgical bond during the spray forming of clad products has offered the possibility of manufacturing large rolls, including those used in hot and cold strip mills. Small rolls are already being produced in Japan. (ii) Technical developments, including the use-of-multi-atomizers have resulted in the elimination of porosity from the internal bore of a sprayed tube. Bimetallic tubing can also be manufactured and the installation of a 4.5 ton tube plant in the USA should provide low operation costs. (iii) Spray forming offers a potentially low cost manufacturing route for superalloy ring/casing components in high strength superalloys. (iv) A large pilot plant has been built for the spray forming of ultra-clean superalloys for turbine disc applications. (v) Using twin-atomizing technology, special steel billets have been spray formed up to 400mm diameter with deposition yields in excess of 90%. (vi) Al/Si alloy extrusion billets with excellent dimensional tolerances are being manufactured for large scale automotive applications. Several new aluminum alloys have also been developed, including high strength, low density and low cocfficient of expansion materials. (vii) New copper alloys have been developed and pilot plants are in operation to produce these alloys once markets have become established.

PT of epoxy mold type have tendency to occur dielectric breakdown in high voltage system. These are using for measurement of voltage or protection of system and application voltage is 25.8kV. Therefore, for improving a lots of problems like as partial discharge, we had analyze on the destroyed Epoxy molded type PT and processing of production. As a results, we concluded that the reason of dielectric breakdown was defect of processing and degradation of insulation by electrical stress. In this work, We presented a method of solution in processing of production. which is reduction of the PO which was occurred at the insulation material. so we must many try to remove faults, these problems are mainly to winding methods of 1st coil. the other side, Reformation of 1st coil improved property of PD and we could prove it with experiments.

The predictability of KAERI version of RELAP5/MOD3 on reflood peak cladding temperature during large break loss-of-coolant accident is assessed against 18 test runs in FLECHT SEASET test data. The associated uncertainty is statistically quantified. The selected test runs include a gravity feed test and several forced feed tests with wide range of the parameters such as flooding rate, system pressure, initial clad temperature, rod bundle power. The results show that the code under-predicts the peak cladding temperature by 7.56 K on average. The upper limit of the associated uncertainty at 95% confidence level is evaluated to be about 99 K, It including the bias due to the under-prediction.

Two clad composites of five ply sheets comprising STS430/AA3003/AA3003/AA3003/STS430 and STS430/AA3003/STS430/AA3003/STS430 were produced by roll cladding at $350^{\circ}C$. In order to clarify the deformation behavior and strain states in the composites during roll cladding, the variation of individual sheet thickness and the evolution of through thickness textures and microstructures of the composites were investigated. The thickness reduction of each sheet depended on the location of the sheet and on the strength of each sheet in the composites. In order to elucidate the evolution of textures and microstructures in AA3003 sheets, the strain states in AA3003 sheets during roll cladding were calculated by FEM. The formation of shear textures and fine grains in AA3003 sheet was discussed in terms of the strain states in each sheet layer. Finally, the strain states extracted from the FEM were verified by texture simulations

Today, restricted energy sources, environmental considerations and the high cost of transporting fuel have limited the number and location of available power plant sites. The pressures resulting from these conditions have tended to require the construction of long, high-capacity, high-voltage power lines. it's used to adapt to STACIR/AW(Super Thermal-resistant Aluminum alloy Conductors, aluminum-clad Invar-Reinforced) conductor for coping with these situations. STACIR/AW conductor was formed by the combination of INVAR/AW as the core for low sag and super thermal-resistant aluminum alloy conductor for current capacity increase. increase of temperature by current capacity and long span lines make the susceptible to the deterioration of thermo-mechanical properties(conductivity, tensile strength, E-modulus and twist property et al). In the present work, changes of thermo-mechanical properties with aging have been studied in STACIR/AW $410 mm^2$ conductor with forms of single wire and strand wire.

We designed and fabricated microstrip line fed QMSAs(Quarter-Wavelength Microstrip Antenna) for 850〔MHz〕 band on the CGP-500 Copper-clad Laminates substrate (CHUKOH company) with $\varepsilon$$_{r}$=2.6, H=1.6〔mm〕( $\pm$0.08), where the width of the radiation patch is identical with that of the ground plane. The resonant frequencies and the return losses were measured by reducing the PSW(Partially Shorted Width) to 0〔mm〕, step by step, when the microstrip line width was 1.47〔mm〕, 2.93〔mm〕and 4.4〔mm〕separately. As a result, a good characterized antenna with a 11% reduced resonant length and a return loss -29.44〔㏈〕 was obtained when the total PSW was in the range of 70% of radiated patch width, compared to the conventional QMSA.A.
The prediction of clad surface temperatures is important to the design and the safety anlaysis of nuclear reactor. The accurate prediction requires the detailed knowledge of the flow structure and heat transfer, which is complicate due to anisotropic turbulent phenomena. A two-equation model including anisotropic eddy viscosity model is applied to forecast the velocity distribution. And the temperature field is calculated with uniform wall heat flux. The Galerkin's weighted residual finite element method has been used to calculate the turbulent quantities right up to the wall. The numerical results show good agreement with available data and that turbulence anisotropy strongly affects on the mean flow and thus the temperature field. And Nu-P/D correlation is established for sodium coolant in close-packed equilateral triangular bundle in the P/D range of 1.05 to 1.30.
The article presented is concerned with an evaluation of the corrosion behavior of SA-508 low alloy steel (LAS) and Type 309L stainless steel (SS) cladding of a reactor pressure vessel under the simulated primary water chemistry of a pressurized water reactor (PWR). The uniform corrosion and galvanic corrosion rates of SA-508 LAS and Type 309L SS were measured in three different control conditions: power operation, shutdown, and power operation followed by shutdown. In all conditions, the dissimilar metal coupling of SA-508 LAS and Type 309L SS exhibited higher corrosion rates than the SA-508 base metal itself due to severe galvanic corrosion near the cladding interface, while the corrosion of Type 309L in the primary water environment was minimal. The galvanic corrosion rate of the SA-508 LAS and Type 309L SS couple measured under the simulated power operation condition was much lower than that measured in the simulated shutdown condition due to the formation of magnetite on the metal surface in a reducing environment. Based on the experimental results, the corrosion rate of SA-508 LAS clad with Type 309L SS was estimated as a function of operating cycle simulated for a typical PWR.

Based on the scalar wave equation of optical fibers, the dispersion characteristics of arbitrarily profiled fibers were analyzed. We used the I-D FEM employing quadratic interpolation fucntions to solve the scalar wave equation. We simulated the DC optical fibers as objects, and searched for the refractive index distribution to minimize the total dispersion. In DC fibers, we found the design parameters for which the total dispersion was almost zero at $\lambda=1.3{\mu}m and 1.55{\mu}m$ simultaneously. We also found the design parameters where the dispersion was flattened, less than 1.0 ps/km.nm for$\lambda=1.4~1.7{\mu}m$1. and the dispersion was as low as 0.65 ps/km.nm at $\lambda=1.55{\mu}m$..
