버스킹 문화의 도시 어메니티 저해 양상과 제도적 완화 방안 탐구 : 해외 정책 사례 분석을 중심으로 (Exploration of Institution and Policy to improve Urban Amenity in Busking Culture)

  • 버스킹 문화는 도시 어메니티를 구성하는 하나의 요소이자 공공예술문화로써 미디어 발전과 맞물려 빠른 속도로 확산되고 있다. 하지만 혼잡·소음·공공불쾌감과 같은 버스킹 문화의 고질적인 문제들은 지역 공동체 내부의 갈등 요소로써 도시 어메니티를 저해하며 지속적으로 발생하고 있다. 이와 같이 버스킹 문화를 둘러싼 갈등 양상은 도시 어메니티 요소로써 버스킹 문화가 가지는 순기능보다 역기능에 대한 부정적인 인식을 확대시키고 있다. 본 연구는 이와 같은 문제의식에 기반 해 국내 버스킹 문화가 도시 어메니티 요소로서 지니고 있는 이점을 배가시키고, 올바른 버스킹 문화의 안착을 위한 제도개선 방안을 탐구하는 것을 연구문제로 삼아, 이해관계자 인터뷰 및 해외 사례분석을 통해 정책적 시사점을 도출했다. 심층인터뷰와 해외 정책 사례 분석을 조사 방법론으로 사용하였으며 분석결과, 버스킹 문화와 관련된 이해관계자들의 전반적인 인식은 정책 혹은 제도개선 측면에서 매우 강하고 구체적으로 제시되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 해외사례분석을 토대로, 연구진은 버스킹 문화 안착을 위한 정책적 개선방안으로 버스킹 허가제, 전문 버스커 양성을 위한 관리제, 시간 및 소음제한을 통한 민원관리제 등 세 가지 측면의 제도 개선방안을 제안했다.

한국의 청소년 문화, 사회화 과정과 교육적 성취: 토착적, 심리적, 문화적 맥락에서의 분석 (Adolescent culture, socialization practices, and educational achievement in Korea: Indigenous, psychological, and cultural analysis)

  • 이 연구에서는 한국의 청소년 문화와 교육적 성취를 이해하기 위한 이론적이고 개념적인 틀을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 선행연구의 개관을 통해, 다음과 같은 여섯 가지 측면에서의 논의를 시도하였다. 첫째, 문화심리학과 청소년 문화를 접근하기 위한 연구의 모형을 제시하였다. 둘째, 전통적 가족 구조와 부모의 역할에 대해 살펴보고, 이것이 한국 사회의 현대화 과정에서 어떻게 변화하였는가를 검토하였다. 셋째, 한국에서의 사회화 과정과 부모자녀 관계를 살펴보았다. 넷째, 교육적인 성취와 한계를 설명하기 위해 발전되어 온 서양의 이론들을 검토하였다. 다섯째, 한국 학생들의 교육적 성취에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 청소년들에게 부과된 중앙집권적이고 표준화된 엄격한 교육 제도의 영향을 논의하였다. 매우 통제된 중앙집권적 관료주의는 청소년의 교육적 기회와 직업에서의 기회를 제한하고 있으며, 한국 청소년의 증가하는 폭력, 비행, 및 집단 따돌림 현상에도 영향을 미치고 있다. 건전한 청소년 문화의 육성과 미래 한국 사회의 발전을 위해, 다양한 생각과 태도 및 행동을 수용하는 시민 사회를 고무하고, 동시에 인간관계에서 건강하고 강한 유대를 형성하며 유지해야 할 필요가 있음이 시사되었다.

  • Flight safety in modern commercial aircraft depends on the ability of pilots to manage overall flight operations. ICAO has made it mandatory for airlines to adhere to Crew Resource Management(CRM) policies to reduce operational safety threats. CRM is a set of techniques designed to effectively manage the human resources, aircraft, and environmental factors in order to promote safety and enhance efficient air operations. When looking at the career backgrounds of new pilots joining the Republic of Korea's commercial airlines, discharged military fighter pilots represent the largest demographic. Fighter pilots are experienced in empowering leadership and directive leadership from their military training and culture. New commercial airline pilots with military fighter pilot training should effectively acquire the required civil aviation CRM skills. The present study has been carried out to determine how the leadership experience of this demographic affects the acquisition of CRM skills for commercial airlines, and it confirms that there is a positive correlation.

축산분뇨 혐기성 처리수에서 미세조류의 성장특성 (Characteristics of Microalgal Growth on Anaerobic Effluent of Animal Waste)

  • Characteristics of microalgal growth was investigated using anaerobic effluent from two-phase animal waste digestor as substrate. Batch experiments were carried out to investigate the effect of the initial nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations on growth of Microcystis aeruginosa, Chlorella sp. and Euglena gracilis. In 400 times diluted anaerobic effluent (TN 3 mg/L), single cell growth of the Euglena gracilis population increased twice without delay, although Chlorella sp. and Microcystis aerugenos take over 144 hours. Similar appearance with single cell growth was observed in mixed cultures. However, microalgae population did not increase under condition of 10 times diluted influent (TP 3 mg/L) in both pure and mixed cultures, which was affected by high organic and nitrogen concentration. Logistic growth model successfully fitted to determine biokinetic parameters such as ${\lambda}$: lag time, ${\mu}m$: maximal specific growth rate, A: asymptote of growth.

Characterization of the Proteolytic Activity of Bacteria Isolated from a Rotating Biological Contactor

  • Four proteolytic bacteria were isolated and identified from a rotating biological contactor based on Bacillus. The four isolates, Ni 26, 36, 39 and 49 were identified as B. vallismortis, B. subtilis, Aeromonas hydrophila and B. amyioliquefaciens, respectively, based on their biochemical properties and 16S rDNA sequence analyses. The optimal proteolytic activity was observed in the temperature and pH ranges of 40-70$^{\circ}C$ and 8.0-8.5, respectively. The proteolytic activities of all the isolates were partially inhibited by phenylmethylsulfonylfluoride (PMSF), and the isolates Ni 26, Ni 39 and Ni 49 were inhibited by the metalloprotease inhibitor, 1,10-phenanthroline. Zymographic analyses of the culture supernatants revealed the presence of at least two pretenses in all isolates.

Numerical assessment of seismic safety of liquid storage tanks and performance of base isolation system

  • Seismic isolation is a well-known method to mitigate the earthquake effects on structures by increasing their fundamental natural periods at the expense of larger displacements in the structural system. In this paper, the seismic response of isolated and fixed base vertical, cylindrical, liquid storage tanks is investigated using a Finite Element Model (FEM), taking into account fluid-structure interaction effects. Three vertical, cylindrical tanks with different ratios of height to radius (H/R = 2.6, 1.0 and 0.3) are numerically analyzed and the results of response-history analysis, including base shear, overturning moment and free surface displacement are reported for isolated and non-isolated tanks. Isolated tanks equipped by lead rubber bearings isolators and the bearing are modeled by using a non-linear spring in FEM model. It is observed that the seismic isolation of liquid storage tanks is quite effective and the response of isolated tanks is significantly influenced by the system parameters such as their fundamental frequencies and the aspect ratio of the tanks. However, the base isolation does not significantly affect the surface wave height and even it can causes adverse effects on the free surface sloshing motion.

미세조류를 이용한 중온 및 고온 혐기성 수소 발효 (Hydrogen Production from Microalgae in Anaerobic Mesophilic and Thermophilic Conditions)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the characteristics of dark fermentative $H_2$ production from microalgae (Chlorella vulgaris) using batch reactors under mesophilic (25, $35^{\circ}C$) and thermophilic (45, $55^{\circ}C$) conditions. The $H_2$ yield and $H_2$ production rate increased with increasing temperature. The maximum $H_2$ yield and $H_2$ production rate were 56.77 mL $H_2/g$ dcw, 3.33 mL $H_2/g\;dcw{\cdot}h$ at $55^{\circ}C$, respectively. The activation energy calculated using Arrhenius equation was 36.24 kcal/mol, which was higher than that of dark $H_2$ fermentation of glucose by anaerobic mixed culture. Although the concentration of butyrate was maintained, the concentrations of lactate and acetate increased with increasing temperature. The $H_2$ yield was linearly proportional to acetate/ butyrate ratio.

조선시대의 재난 데이타베이스 구축 및 대응에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Database of Disasters and Disaster Technologies in the Joseon Dynasty Era)

  • Cultural heritage passing down to posterity is a global concern. But there are many culture heritage that not remained to now disappeared by various disasters. It is told that disaster is learnt from disaster. The most fundamental task in disaster prevention is to collect and analyze cases of accidents so as not to repeat a disaster. In other words, an analysis of various disaster-related materials and their countermeasures in the Joseon period is an actual condition-based phenomenological methodology used to prevent disasters at cultural properties today. In this context, it is important to collect histories of disasters in the Joseon period, to extract disaster-related historical data and to categorize the data to build a disaster literature database. This study has produced [Database of Disasters in the Joseon Era], a collection of articles on fire outbreaks based on The Annals and The Daily Records belonging to the Memory of the World. On the basis of this chronology, human and property damages caused by fires in Joseon have been examined, identified by districts, as well as disaster technologies, have been analyzed. It has also built disaster vulnerability maps in the Joseon Dynasty Era.

Speculation on the Identity of Bacteria Named TFOs Occurring in the Inefficient P-Removal Phase of a Biological Phosphorus Removal System

  • To better understand the ecology of tetrade forming organisms (TFOs) floating in a large amount of dairy wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) effluent (sequencing batch reactor [SBR]) during the inefficient phosphorus (P) removal process of an enhanced biological P removal system, the TFOs from the effluent of a full scale WWTP were separated and attempts made to culture the TFOs in presence/absence of oxygen. The intact TFOs only grew aerobically in the form of unicellular short-rods. Furthermore, to identify the intact TFOs and unicellular short-rods the DNAs of both were extracted, analyzed using their denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE)-profiles and then sequenced. The TFOs and unicellular short-rods exhibited the same banding pattern in their DGGE-profiles, and those sequencing data resulted in their identification as Acinetobacter sp. The intact TFOs appeared in clumps and packages of tetrade cells, and were identified as Acinetobacter sp., which are known as strict aerobes and efficient P-removers. The thick layer of extracellular polymeric substance surrounding Acinetobacter sp. may inhibit phosphate uptake, and the cell morphology of TFOs might subsequently be connected with their survival strategy under the anaerobic regime of the SBR system.

  • Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a famous method amongst Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM), set up by Saaty in 1980. AHP can be determined as a methodology of hierarchical analysis following reasonable decision making with make simpler a difficult crisis. Decision making in systems of Safety management concerned multipart challenges. AHP is process for get better the composite decisions understanding with analyzes of the problem in a structure of hierarchy. The integration all of applicable decision criteria, their pair wise judgment permits the decision maker to establish the trade-offs amongst objectives. In recent years, Malaysian's economy and infrastructure development have significantly and rapidly risen. The construction industry continues to play a major role in this development as many construction activities have been carried out to meet the high demands of the expansive market. However, the construction industry has faced a wide range of challenges, one of which is the frequent occurrences of accidents at the workplace. An effective safety program can substantially reduce accidents because it can help management to build up safer means of operations and create safe working environments for the workers. Furthermore, by having an effective safety programs, good safety culture can be embedded in organization because it can encourage mutual cooperation between management and workers in the operations of the programs and decisions that affect their safety and health. The focus of this research is development methodology of Analytics Hierarchy Process (AHP) in construction safety factors and investigates the levels of some effective elements in SMS in Malaysian construction industries.
