측정 Array Manifold를 적용한 입사 신호의 공간 스펙트럼 추정 (Spatial Spectrum Estimation of Incident Signal Via Measured Array Manifold)

  • 입사 신호에 대한 배열 안테나의 응답인 array manifold를 측정에 의해 생성하는 방법을 기술하였으며, 기술된 방법에 의해 실측된 등간격 원형 배열 안테나의 array manifold를 MUSIC 알고리즘에 적용하여 배열 안테나로 입사되는 300 MHz tone 신호의 공간 스펙트럼을 추정하였다. 측정 array manifold를 이용한 공간 스펙트럼 추정은 이상적인 배열 안테나를 가정한 계산 array manifold 대비 월등한 성능을 보인다.

d-주석산이온과 라세미코발트(III) 착물과의 상호작용에 따른 유발원편광이색성 Spectra와 크로마토그래피 (Induced Circular Dichroism Spectra and Chromatography by Interaction of Some Racemic Cobalt (III) Complexes and d-Tartrate$^2$- in Aqueous Solution)

  • 라세미코발트(III)착물인 $[Co(en)_3]^{3+},\;[Co(tn)_3]^{3+},\;cis-[Co(NH_3)(en)_2]^{3+},\;[Co({\beta}-ala)(en)_2]^{2+},\;[Co(gly)(en)_2]^{2+}$ 및 [Co(acac)(en)$_2]^{2+}$을 실온에서 d-주석산염의 수용액에 녹여 원편광이색성 spectra를 측정하였다. 측정된 모든 착물에 대해서 가시부영역 (400∼500nm)에 한개의 음의 CD spectrum이 관측되었다. 이것은 d-주석산이온과 ${\Lambda}$-및 ${\Delta}$-거울상이성질체의 상호작용에 대한 차에의한 것이라고 해석되었다. 즉 ${\Lambda}$-및 ${\Delta}$-거울상이성질체에 d-주석산이온을 각각 부가했을때 ${\Lambda}$-거울상이성질체는 크게 변하였고 ${\Delta}$-거울상이성질체는 약하게 변하여 그 결과 유발원편광이색성 spectrum으로 나타났다. 이온교환 관크로마토그래피에 있어서 용리제와 더 강하게 회합하는 거울상이성질체가 관으로부터 더 빨리 용출된다. 만일 chiral음이온과 착물과의 더 강한 상호작용이 착물의 원래 부호로부터 크로마토그래피의 용리순서를 예측할 수가 있고, 실험결과 용리순서는 측정된 모든 착물에 대하여 유발 원편광이색성 spectrum의 부포로부터 예측된 거울상이성질체의 절대구조와 완전히 일치하였다.

  • 여러 가지 유기용매에서 서로 다른 대이온을 가진 trans-$[Co(R,R-chxn)_2Cl_2]^+$착물의 원편광이색성(CD) 스펙트럼을 측정하였다. 여기서 R,R-chxn은 (1R,2R)-1,2-diaminocyclohexane 이다. 착물의 CD 스펙트럼에서 관찰된 변화는 현저한 용매의존성을 나타내었다. 그리고 첫 흡수띠 영역$(^1A_{2g})$에서 CD 스펙트럼의 변화 정도는 용매의 donor number(DN)에 의존하였다. trans-[Co(R,R-chxn)$_2Cl_2]^+$ 착물의 CD 스펙트럼 변화는 $^1H$ NMR 스펙트럼으로부터 R,R-chxn 리간드 중의 수평방향의 N-H 수소와 용매분자와의 우선적인 상호작용에 기인되는 것으로 해석되었다.

Spatially Close Signals Separation via Array Aperture Expansions and Spatial Spectrum Averaging

  • A resolution enhancement method for estimating the direction-of-arrival (DOA) of signals is presented. The proposed method is by virtually expanding a real array into virtual arrays and then averaging the spatial spectrum of the virtual arrays, each of which has a different aperture size. Superior DOA resolutions are shown in comparison with the standard algorithm, MUltiple SIgnal Classification (MUSIC), for incoherent signals incident on a uniform circular array.

원형 밀폐 및 개방형 돔 지붕의 풍압 스펙트럼 (Wind Pressure Spectra for Circular Closed and Open Dome Roofs)

  • Wind tunnel tests were conducted to analyze the wind fluctuating pressures on a circular closed and open dome roof with a low span rise. Two dome models with various geometric parameters (height/span ratios and open ratios) were used for fixed span rise ratio dome and wind pressure spectrum were analyzed. The applicability was examined in comparison with the spectral model proposed in the previous studies. The analysis results show that the wind pressure spectrum of open dome roof tends to increase power in the high frequency range and the second peak is found in the area different from the closed dome roof. In addition, according to the comparison analysis with the previous proposed spectral model, it was found that it is not applicable to the closed and open dome roofs with low rise ratio due to the different peak frequencies.

주차장 자동차번호 인식 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study of Car Plate Recognition System on The Park)

  • 본 논문에서는 현재 주차장에서 사용되는 입출 차량의 관리를 정기권 카드나 티켓발행기와 병행하여 사용될 수 있는 자동차 번호 인식 시스템을 개발하였다. 주차장은 차량의 흐름을 원활하고 신속하게 처리해야 하기 때문에 많은 자동차 번호 인식시스템을 도입했으나 운영 면에서 여러 가지 문제점을 가지고 있었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위하여 기존의 시스템을 바탕으로 유동적인 시스템을 개발하였다. 자동차 번호 인식시스템은 주차장에 설치될 경우 99%의 성능을 가져야 하지만 날씨의 변화와 계절이 변동함에 따라 많은 영향을 받고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 4계절과 날씨에 민감함을 고려하여 차량번호판 영역을 히스토그램 모폴로지를 사용하여 번호판 영역을 추출하고 신경망을 사용하여 숫자만을 인식하는 시스템을 개발하였다.

원기둥과 선형발전기의 연성 수직운동을 이용한 파 에너지 추출 (Extraction of Wave Energy Using the Coupled Heaving Motion of a Circular Cylinder and Linear Electric Generator)

  • The feasibility of wave energy extraction from a heaving truncated cylinder and the corresponding response of the linear electric generator (LEG) composed of spring, magnet, and coil has been investigated in the frame of three-dimensional linear potential theory. The heaving motion of a circular cylinder is calculated by means of the matched eigenfunction expansion method. Further, the analytical results are validated by numerical results using the ANSYS AQWA commercial code. By the action of a heaving circular cylinder, the magnet suspended by a spring can slide vertically inside the heaving cylinder. The mechanical power is extracted from the magnet motion relative to the coil/stator which is attached to the cylinder. The coupled ODE of a heaving cylinder and LEG system in waves is derived to obtain the magnet motion relative to a cylinder. To maximize the relative motion of the magnet, both the buoy draft and the LEG system parameters (spring stiffness, damping) should be selected properly for generating the double resonance considering the peak frequency of the target spectrum.

유체 누출에서의 음향방출 신호분석 (Analysis of Acoustic Emission Signals from Fluid Leakage)

  • Acoustic emission signals due to leak from circular holes of 0.4, 1, 2 and 4mm diameter and rectangular slits of different geometry having the same cross section as 4mm diameter hole was studied both analytically and experimentally. Acoustic emission signals from a wide-band type transducer were transformed to digital signals through a digital oscilloscope, and $V_{rms}$ and frequency spectrum were obtained by processing digital signals. Relationships between acoustic parameters and fluid mechanical parameters were derived analytically. A quadrapole aerodynamic model was applied in the analysis of leak from the circular holes and $V_{rms}$ was found to be proportional to the root square of leak rate through the circular hole. A modified model based on dipole source mechanism and laminar equivalent diameter was applied in the analysis of leak signals from the rectangular slits. In the case of constant pressure, $V_{rms}$ increased as the laminar equivalent diameter of slit decreased. In the case of constant laminar equivalent diameter, however the result was similar to that for leak from the circular hole. The frequency spectra of leak signals shows the same frequency characteristics irrespective of the pressure difference.rence.

감쇠판에 의한 원기둥의 상하운동 저감 모형시험 (Model Test for Heave Motion Reduction of a Circular Cylinder by a Damping Plate)

  • Motion reduction of an offshore structure at resonant frequency is essential for avoiding critical damage to the topside and mooring system. A damping plate has a distinct advantage in reducing the motion of a floating structure by increasing the added mass and the damping coefficient. In this study, the heave motion responses of a circular cylinder with an impermeable and a permeable damping plate attached at the bottom of the cylinder were investigated thru a model test. The viscous damping coefficients for various combinations of porosity were obtained from a free-decay test by determining the ratio between any pair of successive amplitudes. Maximum energy dissipation occurred at a porous plate with a porosity P = 0.1008. Experimental results for regular and irregular waves were compared with an analytical solution by Cho (2011). The measured heave RAO and spectrum reasonably followed the trends of the predicted values. A significant motion reduction at resonant frequency was pronounced and the heaving-motion energy calculated by the integration of the area under the heave motion spectrum was reduced by more than 75% by the damping plate. However, additional energy dissipation by eddies of strong vorticity and flow separation inside a porous damping plate was not found in the present experiments.

Spectral Studies of Conformational Change at the Active Site of Mutant O-acetylserine Sulfhydrylase-A (C43S)

  • The cysteine 43, potentially important in the activity of O-acetylserine sulfhydrylase (OASS) from Salmonella typhimurium, has been changed to serine. This mutant enzyme (C43S) has been studied in order to gain insight into the structural basis for the binding of inhibitor, substrate and product. UV-visible spectra of C43S exhibit the same spectral change in the presence of OAS as that observed with wild type enzyme, indicating C43S will form an ${\alpha}$-aminoacrylate Schiff base intermediate. At pH 6.5, however, the deacetylase activity of C43S is much higher than wild type enzyme indicating that cysteine 43 plays a role in stabilizing the ${\alpha}$-aminoacrylate intermediate. The fluoroscence spectrum of C43S exhibits a ratio of emission at 340 to 502 nm of 16.9, reflecting the lower fluorescence of PLP and indicating that the orientation of cofactor and tryptophan are different from that of the wild type enzyme. The emission spectrum of C43S in the presence of OAS gives two maxima at 340 and 535 nm. The 535 nm emission is attributed to the fluoroscence of the ${\alpha}$-aminoacrylate intermediate. The visible circular dichroic spectrum was similar to wild type enzyme, but the negative effect observed at 530~550 nm and the molar ellipicity values for the mutant are decreased by about 50% compared to wild type enzyme. The circular dichroic and fluoroscence studies suggest binding of the cofactor is less asymmetric in C43S than in the wild type enzyme.
