Least Square를 이용한 수직다관절 Manipulator의 새로운 원호 경로 보간 방법 (A New Circular Curve Fitting of Articulated Manipulators Using Least Squares)

  • This paper presents a new circular curve fitting approach of articulated manipulators, based on least square. The approach aims at gaining the interpolation of circle from n data points, under the condition that the fitted circle should pass both a starting point and an ending point. First a spherical fitting should be performed, using least squares. Then the circular curve fitting can be resulted from the intersection of the fitted sphere and the plane obtained from 3 points, i. e., a starting point, an ending point and the center of a sphere. The proposed algorithms are shown to be efficient by using MATLAB-based simulation.

원호보간시험에 의한 수치제어 공작기계의 운동오차원인 진단에 관한 연구 (Identification of motion error sources in NC machine tools by a circular interpolation test)

  • This paper presents an efficient method for the identification of motion error sources in NC machine tools by making use of the circular interpolation test, which is often used in estimating the motion accuracy of NC machine tools. Mathematical formulae are described for motion errors due to various kinds of error sources. Two identification formulae are proposed: one is based on the frequency analysis and the other is formulated with the weithted residual method. Motion error signal is classified into two patterns, mean errors(mean of CW and CCW test signals from mean errors). The sources of the mean errors are identified by using the frequency analysis technique and the sources of the deviation errors by the weighted residual formulaltion. A menu driven, user oriented, computer program is written to realize the full steps of the proposed identificationprocedure. Then, the identification method is applied to two NC machine tools.

CNC 머시닝센터의 정밀도 향상을 위한 반복학습제어 (An Iterative Learning Control for the Precision Improvement of a CNC Machining center)

  • We made a counter to measure the output of motor encoders for the motion error analysis of a CNC machining center, and have measured the dynamic characteristics and the position errors experimentally. Especially, we measured the radius errors for different feedrates and different radii when the CNC machining center performed a circular interpolation. We have also used an iterative learning method to reduce the radius errors and stick motion errors generated by the CNC machining center performing a circular interpolation. The results show that the proposed learning scheme can reduce the radius error and stick motion error significantly. The reduction of errors becomes more pronounced for higher feedrate and smaller radius.

  • 3축 CNC 공작기계상에서 자유형상의 벽을 가진 자유곡면을 가공할 때 최종 NC (Numerical Control) 코드를 만들기 위한 공구 경로는 효율적으로 결정 되어져야 한다. 단일화된 황삭과 정삭 알고리즘 및 공구경로가 이미 그래픽으로 Part 1에서 시뮬레이션 되었다. 본 연구에서는 Part 1에서 보여진 시뮬레이션 결과를 3축 CNC 공작기계를 이용하여 자유곡면 바닥을 가진 일반적인 파켓 밀링을 위한 직선 보간 및 직선+아크를 혼합한 보간을 위한 NC 공구경로 데이터로 만들어서 3D 격자 항행 알고리즘을 실험하였고 그 효용성을 증명하였다.

  • An universal NURBS interpolation for an open architectured CNC controller is proposed in order to unify internal data structure and algorithm of different interpolations such as linear, circular and spline, and to intelligently interface CAD database of the various workpiece contour. Furthermore, NURBS interpolation may result in better surface roughness and high speed machining due to the continuous generation of cutter movement. The mathematical manipulation of NURBS is presented and the practical implementation on the CNC controller of a lathe is discussed for real machining. The comparison between a computer design and workpieces machined on a lathe shows the feasibility of the NURBS interpolation format as an universal interpolation scheme.

  • The Immersed boundary method(IBM) is one of CFD techniques which can simulate flow field around complex objectives using simple Cartesian grid system. In the previous studies the IBM has mostly been implemented to fractional step method based Navier-Stokes solvers. In these cases, pressure buildup near IB was found to occur when linear interpolation and stadard mass conservation is used and the interpolation scheme became complicated when higher order of interpolation is adopted. In this study, we implement the IBM to an incompressible Navier-Stokes solver which uses SIMPLE algorithm. Bi-linear and quadratic interpolation equations were formulated by using only geometric information of boundary to reconstruct velocities near IB. Flow around 2D circular cylinder at Re=40 and 100 was solved by using these formulations. It was found that the pressure buildup was not observed even when the bi-linear interpolation was adopted. The use of quadratic interpolation made the predicted aerodynamic forces in good agreement with those of previous studies.

  • In this paper, we dicuss on the properties related to the circular filtering in orthogonal transform domain. The efficient filtering schemes in six orthogonal transform domains are presented by generalizing the convolution-multiplication property of the DFT. In brief, the circular filtering can be accomplished by multiplying the transform domain filtering matrix W, which is shown to be very sparse, yielding the computational gains compared with the time domain processing. As an application, decimation and interpolation techniques in orthogonal transform domains are also investigated.

  • 효율적인 최종 NC코드를 만들어내기 위해서 공구경로는 효과적인 방법으로 결정되어 져야한다. 이는 3축 CNC 공작기계상에서 자유형상의 벽을 가진 자유곡면을 가공할 때 특히 중요하다. 많은 CAD/CAM 시스템들은 자유곡면가공을 위한 NC코드 생성 시 직선 보간을 이용한다. 그러나 이 방법은 가공된 바닥 표면의 매끄러움과 가공시간, 그리고 CL파일 사이즈를 줄이기 위해서 보정되어야 한다. 곡선 가공이 이러한 문제들을 줄이기 위한 해결책이 될 수 있다. 단일화된 황삭과 정삭 알고리즘과 공구경로가 그래픽으로 시뮬레이션 되었다. 본 연구에서는 자유곡면 바닥을 가진 파켓을 3축 CNC 공작기계를 이용하여 일반적인 파켓 밀링을 위한 직선 보간과 직선+아크를 혼합한 보간을 위한 NC 공구경로 데이터를 만들기 위한 3D 격자 항행 알고리즘을 개발하였다.

  • 본 논문은 가변 구조 제어 시스템을 이용하여 AC Servo 모터의 원호 보간 오차를 개선하는데 목적을 두고 있다. AC Servo 모터를 사용하는 공작 기계의 동작에서 오차는 서보 드라이버의 시간 지연, 마찰, 그리고 모터의 x축 y축의 이득값이 어울리지 않는 등의 여러 요소가 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 슬라이딩 모드제어 시스템은 AC Servo 드라이브의 수치적 예로 응용되었다. 실험 결과 값은 전형적인 PI 제어와 비교하여 시스템의 원호 보간 오차 개선에 관한 우수성을 보여주고 있다.

  • Immersed boundary method(IBM) is a numerical scheme proposed to simulate flow field around complex objectives using simple Cartesian grid system. In the previous studies, the IBM has mostly been implemented to fractional step method based Navier-Stokes solvers. In this study, we implement the IBM to an incompressible Navier-Stokes solver which uses SIMPLE algorithm. The weight coefficients of the bi-linear and quadratic interpolation equations were formulated by using only geometric information of boundary to reconstruct velocities near IB. Flow around 2D circular cylinder at Re=40 and 100 was solved by using these formulations. It was found that the pressure buildup was not observed even when the bi-linear interpolation was adopted. The use of quadratic interpolation made the predicted aerodynamic forces in good agreement with those of previous studies. For an analysis of moving boundary, we smulated an oscillating circular cylinder with Re=100 and KC(Keulegan-Carpenter) number of 5. The predicted flow fields were compared with experimental data and they also showed good agreements.
