사이클로이드 곡선 및 3차 다항식 곡선기어의 치형 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on The Tooth Creating Algorithms of The Cycloid Curve Gear and The Third Polynomial Curve Gear)

  • The free curve gear is a non-circular gear without any relating center, which can perform free curve motion for complicated mechanisms, and minimize the work area. In this study, an algorithms for tooth profile generation of free curve involute gear is developed. The algorithm uses the involute gear creating principle in which a gear can be generated by rolling with another standard involute one. Cycloid me and third polynomial curve gears were designed and verified by computer graphics. These gears are manufactured in the wire-cut EDM and examined in engagement with a standard spur gear. The results showed that the proposed algorithm is successful to design and to manufacture the free curve gear with concave and convex profiles.

  • This work analytically investigated the radiated noise of a helical gear-housing system due to the excitation of helical gears. The helical gears were modeled as a 12-degree of freedom mass-spring-damper system; the shaft was modeled as a rod, a beam, and a torsional shaft; and the gear housing was modeled as a clamped circular plate with viscous damping. The modeling of this system used transfer matrices for helical gears, shafts, and bearings. Damping for both the bearings and the plate were obtained by modal testing. For the evaluation of noise, sound pressure from the plate due to the force and the moment in both radial and tangential directions was analytically derived by the Rayleigh integral. The analytical derivation and parameters from the experiment were applied to an analysis of noise for the two sets of helical gears with differing gear ratios. The analysis showed that the moment excitation in both helical gears contributed more to the noise of the plate than axial force excitation.

스퍼 기어계의 방사소음 예측 (Prediction of Radiated Noise from a Spur Gear System)

  • In order to predict the noise of the spur gear system, a simplified model of spur system including the housing is studied. The spur gear is modeled as a single degree of freedom system. The shaft-housing system is modeled as a clamped circular plate connected with a beam. The moment components of the beam excited by the spur gear mesh force are considered in the calculation of plate vibration and radiated noise. The out-of-displacements of the clamped circular plate due to the r-direction moment and ${\theta}$-direction moment are calculated. Radiated noise from the plate in the air is also calculated using Rayleigh integral. Using the numerical example, the numerical validation of the analytical procedure on the noise prediction are given.

  • This paper describes the forging of circular tooth profiled gears as a series of development of simulator for non-axisymmetric parts that being used at the pump pulley, timing belt pulley etc. in automobiles. The half pitch of gear is divided into 6 deformation regious and kinematically admissible velocity fields for those regions are proposed. The neutral surface is introduced torepresent inner flow of material during forging operation with flat punch and, for each step, it is assumed as a circle. The upper bound solutions obtained from the suggested kinematically admissible velocity fields are in good agreement with experimental results and they are useful to predict the capacity of forging press for forging of circular gears.

  • This study suggests an algorithm for tooth profile generation of free from curve involute gear, a special gear of which the pitch line is a free curve instead of a circular one. For the first, a methodology for calculation of the tooth curve is developed and formulated Then the formulated algorithm, is programmed for manufacturing and verified by computer graphics. Next the calculated results as changed in to NC codes to apply to wire electric discharge machine(WEDM). Finally, the machined gear is examined in engagement with a standard involute gear.

  • A cycloidal speed reducer is a type of the speed reducers of machinery. The cycloidal speed reducer consists of two cycloidal plate gears, housing roller gear, input shaft, output pin and shaft, and eccentric bearings. Especially the cycloidal plate gear has the peculiar parts of the teeth, because of gearing with the housing roller gear that has the several rollers on the circular line. And then all teeth on the cycloidal plate gear can be designed to contact with the rollers on the housing roller gear at the same time. Therefore the cycloidal plate gear has always contact motion with rollers and the force is interacted between roller gear with cycloidal plate gear. Because the contact force and friction force must be required to improve the accuracy in design procedures of cycloidal speed reducers, this paper presents a force analysis considered friction effect approach derived by static force equilibrium condition, geometrical adaptation, instant velocity center method and relative velocity method.

  • Planocentric gears 장치에서 내치차에 pin type의 치형을 사용하고 휠의 치형을 원호로 구성하였을 경우 치의 접촉특성을 탄성유역학적 윤활이론을 도입하여 해석 하였다. 윤활 특성을 개선하기 위하여 물림 위치(meshing position)에 의거한 설계 방법과 치의 모서리 부분 형상을 만곡되게 하는 치형 설계 방법을 제시하고 기존 설계에 의한 장치와 수치적으로 특성을 비교 하였다.

  • Analogous problem for a gear dynamics where helical gears excite logitudinal forces in the shaft is studied. These shaft forces excite the supporting gear housing through bearing, causing structural vibration. In this study, shaft is modeled as a rod, and bearing is modeled by a massless spring. A simple model for gear housing is a clamped circular plate. To model this force transmission, the transfer functions from the shaft to a clamped circular plate are analytically derived by using the spectral method and four-pole parameter. Finally, radiated noise is computed, using the acoustic relations due to plate surface vibration.

  • Medium and high speed marine diesel engines have been widely used as prime mover in small car ferries and fishing vessels with reduction gear. These propulsion shafting system should be installed and matched the elastic coupling between engine and reduction gear to isolate the vibratory torque. In this paper, the elastic dynamic characteristics of coupling with rubber type circular segments is confirmed by the theoretical analysis using the FEM and the hydraulic exciting test at shop. And its adaptation is investigated in the torsional vibration test in factory shop.

In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of elastic coupling with rubber type circular segments is confirmed by theoretical analysis using the FEM and the hydraulic excitation test at shop. Further adaptation was investigated with the torsional vibration test at diesel engine factory shop.
