회로차단기 조작기구의 래치 위치 및 길이 최적설계 (Optimum Design of Latch Position and Latch Length on Operating Mechanism of a Circuit Breaker using ADAMS and VisualDOC)

  • 회로차단기에서 가장 중요한 성능은 전기시스템의 이상전류를 신속하게 차단하는 것이다. 이러한 차단시간은 조작기구의 동적 특성에 의한 영향을 받는다. 따라서 회로차단기의 차단시간 단축을 위해서는 조작기구의 최적화가 이루어져야 한다. 본 논문의 가스회로차단기의 조작기는 스프링으로 구동되며 여러 개의 Latch 로 구성되어있다. Latch 들의 상대적 위치와 길이로 정의된 각 설계변수의 차단시간에 대한 영향을 분석하고 이 결과를 통해 설계변수를 선정하여 ADAMS 와 VisualDOC 의 연동을 통해 최적화를 수행하였다. Latch 들의 최적화를 통해 약 22.5% 개극시간을 향상을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서 실내환경의 무선통신 표준안으로 고려되는 OFDM(orthogonal frequency division multiplexing)모뎀의 성능 향상을 위해 새로운 설계 방법을 제안하였다. 고속 홈네트워킹에서 요구하는 데이터 전송율 $6{\sim}54$Mbps을 만족하도록 향상된 알고리즘을 이용하여 FFT/IFFT를 설계하였고, 무선환경을 고려하여 파일럿 신호를 이용하는 보다 향상된 채널등화기법과 구조를 제안하였다. 또한 메모리 구조를 가지는 $tan^{-1}$ 회로를 이용하여 회로의 반송파 옵셋 추정기를 설계하였다. FPGA를 통하여 HDL단계에서 검증하고, 표준라이브러리를 이용하여 ASIC(application specific integrated circuit)으로 구현하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 창의적 공학교육의 기반과 성과를 평가하기 위해 운영되고 있는 공학교육인증제도에서 핵심 교육요소로 강조하고 있는 효과적인 공학설계를 위한 PBL기반의 설계교육방법과 이를 IT학부의 필수 요소설계과목의 하나인 논리회로설계에 적용하여 콘텐츠를 개발한 사례를 제시한다. 요소설계는 요소기술 중심의 설계이므로 종합설계의 경우와는 달리 설계구성요소 및 현실적 제한조건들의 범위가 제한되는 특징을 가지고 있어 창의적 설계교육이 이루어지려면 요소설계과목의 특성을 충분히 고려하여 PBL을 적용할 필요가 있다. 개발한 콘텐츠(교재)를 실제 수업에 적용하여 유효성을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper we describe the solid-state ac-circuit breaker which has the characteristic of both a half cycle circuit breaker and a current limiting circuit breaker. This circuit breaker has a current limiting resistor in order to surprises the fault current to a certain level and discharge the energe included in circuit inductor. We explain the effect of circuit parameter on transient phenomena of switch device by using EMTP and finally design the control circuit consisted synchronous closing circuit, over- current detecting circuit and sensing circuit of rate of rise of fault current.

  • Hybrid RMU is a kind of power circuit breaker and protects electric devices from over-current. In this paper we built a dynamic model of RMU driving mechanism using ADAMS and performed a optimal design of several design parameters. Finally we developed a prototype of RMU driving mechanism through results of analysis and confirmed it to satisfy design requisitions.

  • Design of electronic circuit should be both economical and reliable. If we put weight on economy, reliability will be lessened vice versa. But in some cases, a Designer should do exact design looking down upon economy. Especially, in integrated circuit, we should design as exactly as possible without much tolerance. In my thesis, I have studied the method for the exact design without much consideration in economy, and I also have developed Monte carlo Simulation program which can be operated by new generation of pseudo random number. Here, in my study, I have found out that new generation of pseudo random number was much more superior to any methods suggested by orthers.

  • A claw pole stepping motor is widely used in various fields such as a compact optical disk drive, computer peripherals, digital cameras, office automation(OA), handheld mobile devices, because it has the suitable structure for compact motor. However 3D analysis is essential for design of Claw pole stepping motor because of axial flux path. Thus, in general, it takes a lot of time in the design of Claw pole motor. In this paper, magnetic equivalent circuit considering axial flux was proposed to reduce design time of Claw pole motor and we has designed by using the magnetic equivalent circuit. In addition, in oder to verify the study, design model was verified by 3D FEM simulation and experiment.

온도 특성을 고려한 LED 전구의 방열 및 회로 설계 (The Thermal and Circuits Design of an LED Bulb Considering Temperature Property)

  • Although LEDs have been used in various applications with improving the brightness and luminous efficacy, the electrical and optical characteristics of high power LED varies at different temperature and starting time. In this paper, optimal heat sink and apparatus design were conducted using IR camera and ICEPAK on the LED bulb consisting with fourteen LED array. The temperatures of heat sink and LED device of the designed LED bulb without cooling pan were $74^{\circ}C\;and\;96.8^{\circ}C$, respectively, showing in good themal characteristics. For high efficiency driving circuit of LED array adopted optimal heat sink design, driving circuits of constant voltage and current circuits were suggested and fabricated. As a result the efficacy of all driving circuits showed more than 20 lm/W. Also, the constant current circuits are suitable for signal lamp, hallway lamp, and flash lamp having short operating time(about 30 min). On the other hand, a reading light and indoor lamp having long operating time can be controlled by constant voltage circuit.

오류역전파 알고리즘을 이용한 사출성형 금형 냉각회로 최적화 (Injection Mold Cooling Circuit Optimization by Back-Propagation Algorithm)

  • The cooling stage greatly affects the product quality in the injection molding process. The cooling system that minimizes temperature variance in the product surface will improve the quality and the productivity of products. The cooling circuit optimization problem that was once solved by a response surface method with 4 design variables. It took too much time for the optimization as an industrial design tool. It is desirable to reduce the optimization time. Therefore, we tried the back-propagation algorithm of artificial neural network(BPN) to find an optimum solution in the cooling circuit design in this research. We tried various ways to select training points for the BPN. The same optimum solution was obtained by applying the BPN with reduced number of training points by the fractional factorial design.

Design of Resonator-Coupled Wireless Power Transfer System by Use of BPF Theory

  • A wireless power transfer system based on magnetically coupled two resonators is analysed using the filter theory. Design equations for each lumped parameter circuit components are derived. As a result, change of coupling coefficient between the resonators and/or change of load resistance are easily responded. Effect of circuit loss to the design theory is also addressed. After designing a power transfer system, a real system is constructed using spiral and loop coils. Dependence of circuit elements on their dimensions is measured in advance and used to cope with the designed element values. Simulated response by use of designed element values and measured result are compared, indicating the validity of the theory.
