The mathematical model has a different response character with the real system because this mathematical model has the modeling errors and the imprecise value of system's parameters. Therefore to find the value of system parameters as possible as near by real value in the model is necessary to design the controlled system. This study concern about the identification method to estimate the parameter for the magnetic bearing system with RCGA(Real Coded Genetic Algorithm). Firstly, we will get the mathematical model from the current amplifier circuit and the magnetic bearing system. Secondly we will get the step response data in this circuit and system. Finally, we will estimate the unknown parameter's value from the data.

The extraction of model parameters for embedded passive components is crucial for designing and characterizing the performance of multichip module (MCM) substrates. In this paper, a method for optimizing the extraction of these parameters using genetic algorithms is presented. The results of this method are compared with optimization using the Levenberg-Marquardt (LM) algorithm used in the HSPICE circuit modeling tool. A set of integrated resistor structures are fabricated, and their scattering parameters are measured for a range of frequencies from 45 MHz to 5 GHz. Optimal equivalent circuit models for these structures are derived from the s-parameter measurements using each algorithm. Predicted s-parameters for the optimized equivalent circuit are then obtained from HSPICE. The difference between the measured and predicted s-parameters in the frequency range of interest is used as a measure of the accuracy of the two optimization algorithms. It is determined that the LM method is extremely dependent upon the initial starting point of the parameter search and is thus prone to become trapped in local minima. This drawback is alleviated and the accuracy of the parameter values obtained is improved using genetic algorithms.

In this paper, we propose a method that applies Vector Fitting (VF) technique to the equivalent circuit model for RF passive components. These days wireless communication system is getting smaller and smaller. So EMI/EMC is an issue in RF. We can solve PI/SI (Power Integrity/Signal Integrity) that one of EMI/EMC problem apply IFFT for 3D EM simulation multiple with input signal. That is time consuming task. Therefore equivalent circuit model using RF passive component is important. VF schemes are implemented to obtain the rational functions. S parameters of the equivalent circuit model is compared to those of EM simulation in case of the microstrip line structure.
This paper describes on RF circuit simulation technique, especially on a RF modeling and a model extraction of a LDMOS(Lateral Diffused MOS) that has gate-width (Wg) dependence. Small-signal model parameters of the LDMOSs with various gate-widths extracted from S-parameter data are applied to make the relation between the RF performances and gate-width. It is proved that a source inductance (Ls) was not applicable to scaling rules. These extracted small-signal model parameters are also utilized to remove extrinsic elements in an extraction of a large-signal model (using HP Root MOSFET Model). Therefore, we can omit an additional measurement to extract extrinsic elements. When the large-signal model with Ls having the above gate-width dependence is applied to a high-power LDMOS module, the simulated performances (Output power, etc.) are in a good agreement with experimental results. It is proved that our extracted model and RF circuit simulation have a good accuracy.

When the lightning currents flow through the ground electrode, the grounding system should be evaluated by the grounding impedance rather than the ground resistance because a grounding system shows the transient impedance characteristic by the inductance of the ground electrode and the capacitance of the soil. The ratio of the peak values of electric potential and currents is the conventional impedance that shows the transient characteristic about impulse currents of the grounding system in a roundabout way. The grounding system having low conventional impedance is a fine grounding system with low electric potential when the lightning currents flow. In this paper the conventional impedance of the counterpoise is calculated by using the distributed parameter circuit model and embodied the distributed parameter circuit model by using the EMTP program The adequacy of the distributed parameter model is examined by comparing the simulated and the measured results. The conventional impedance of the counterpoise is analyzed for first short stroke and subsequent short stroke currents.

Possibility of passive piezoelectric damping based on a new shunting parameter estimation method is studied using finite element analysis. The adopted tuning method is based electrical impedance that is found at piezoelectric device and the optimal criterion for maximizing dissipated energy at the shunt circuit. Full three dimensional finite element model is used for piezoelectric devices with cantilever plate structure and shunt electronic circuit is taken into account in the model. Electrical impedance is calculated at the piezoelectric device, which represents the structural behavior in terms of electrical field, and equivalent electrical circuit parameters for the first mode are extracted using PRAP (Piezoelectric Resonance Analysis Program). After the shunt circuit is connected to the equivalent circuit for the first mode, the shunt parameters are optimally decided based on the maximizing dissipated energy criterion. Since this tuning method is based on electrical impedance calculated at piezoelectric device, multi-mode passive piezoelectric damping can be implemented for arbitrary shaped structures.
Ionic polymer-metal composite(IPMC) consists of an ion conductive membrane plated by metallic electrodes on both surfaces. When it bends, a voltage is generated between two electrodes. Since IPMC is flexible and thin, it can be easily mounted on the various surfaces of a body. The present study investigates a sensor system using IPMC to effectively detect the bending angles applied on IPMC sensor. The paper evaluates several R and C circuit models that describe the physical composition of IPMC and selects the best model for the detection of angles. The circuit models implemented with a charge model describe the relationship between input bending angles and output voltages. The identification of R and C values was performed by minimizing the error between the real output voltages and the simulated output voltages from the circuit models of IPMC sensor. Then the output signal of a sensor was fed into the inverse model of the identified model to reproduce the bending angles. In order to support the validation of the model, the output voltages from an arbitrary bending motion were also applied to the selected inverse model, which successfully reproduced the arbitrary bending motion.
A new method is developed to extract model parameters of SiGe HBT equivalent circuit including the base impedance and base-collector junction capacitance. Using this method, all resistances and capacitances of SiGe HBT are independently determined from measured S-parameters using two-port parameter formula. This method is proposed to reduce possible errors generated from global optimization process, and its accuracy has been verified by finding good agreements between measured and modeled current / power gain up to 18 GHz.
Common mode (CM) conducted interference are predicted and compared with experiments in a motor drive system of Electric vehicles in this study. The prediction model considers each part as an equivalent circuit model which is represented by lumped parameters and proposes the parameter extraction method. For the modeling of the inverter, a concentrated and equivalent method is used to process synthetically the CM interference source and the stray capacitance. For the parameter extraction in the power line model, a computation method that combines analytical method and finite element method is used. The modeling of the motor is based on measured date of the impedance and vector fitting technique. It is shown that the parasitic currents and interference voltage in the system can be simulated in the different parts of the prediction model in the conducted frequency range (150 kHz-30 MHz). Experiments have successfully confirmed that the approach is effective.
In DC-DC Buck converters with average current mode control, the current loop compensator provides additional design freedom to enhance the converter current loop performance. On the other hand, the current loop circuit elements append substantial amount of complexity to not only the inner current loop but also the outer voltage loop, which makes it demanding to quantify circuit and operating parameter effects on the small-signal dynamics of such converters. Despite the difficulty, it is shown in this paper that parameter effects can be analyzed satisfactorily by using an existing small-signal model in conjunction with a newly proposed simplified alternative. As a result of the study, new insight into average current mode control is uncovered and discussed quantitatively. Measurable experimental results on a prototype averaged-current-mode-controlled Buck converter are provided to facilitate the analytical study with good correlation.
